  10. This might be the 3rd time when Ethiopia was going for Regional Hegemon status just to be blunted by far. First was Gudit, then the Oromo migration, then they barely managed to take the Southern Highlands in the late 18th-early 19th century but with colonialism removing regional hegemon status from them even with that success, just for this to happen and blunt them again.
