I sée what You did there.. 🤣

The sudden increase in abrasive comments towards the US, have a severe stench of Orc-bots and troll farms on them, tbh. Lots of 'dead' accounts suddenly active again, lots of suspiciously minty-fresh accounts that try to stir-up shit between the US and the EU/Europe. Things that makes You go "Hmmm"
2
And while throwing Ukraine for the bus, the orange turd is also busy to run Hitler's playbook that completely destroyed every and all judicial power of the Weimar Republic. It took Hitler just 70 days to go from a democracy to a full on fascist dictatorial state. Where are the blowhards waving their guns ' against tyranny' basically since tha US had the ' audacity' to elect a black president? The US elected a mafioso, an actual criminal, and he immediately acted like a criminal mafioso. Shake-downs and all. :surprised pikachu:
2
@rhea7756 Indeed. And they usually betray themselves through the use of odd, antiquated colloquialisms, or weird-a$$ grammar.
2
And China is patiently waiting.. eyeing Russian Manchuria and Mongolia...
2
They drink a lot of (fire)water too. All those hot tears carry the risk of drying-out a person.. :P
2
Apparently very large part of the Spetsnatz was wiped-out in the failed paratrooper assault on Kyiv in the beginning of the war. What was left, got wiped-out in later attacks. There's a reason that Wagner- and Chechen mercenaries are the only soldiers left with at the least sóme proper combat-qualifications.
2
And after that help Georgia reclaim its pre-2008 borders!
2
aww.. boohoo..
2
Fantastic, and really engaging war-reporting AND the econometric side in all of it. I knew jack-all about stock markets, interest, mortgages as economic metrics and all of that. I learned a lot agàin today. ...Wait.. minus 25? And no heating in the tents and no useful winter gear? They're dead... And the Ukes do not have to lift a finger..
2
I. myself, strongly believe that thát is indeed what they are aiming/hoping for.
2
AK's were quite probably plastic airsoft rifles. They looked too light and way too easy to handle by those kids. Wagner orcs are a tad pissed. their wages are often delayed. They're mercenaries. When not paid on-time, they get VERY cranky. Even the popes in the 14th and 15th century knew that paying thew Swiss mercenaries properly and on time, guaranteed that the flamberge's wouldn't be swinging towards their holiness's head and necks.. 😋 Putin, apparently, missed those lessons.
2
I see what You did there.. :P
2
Yeah, basically.. The Orcs were probably asleep at the 'Economy 101' lessons..
2
Absolutely fantastic. The insights of an actual (former) VERY high-ranking military man are truly valuable. Added to that, Gen. Hodges is a gifted educator that really can summarise comprehensibly, how things work ànd what it is all about, from the lowest soldier to the highest political powers, and each of their important roles.
2
Sorry, but a "Wir haben es nicht gewusst" won't go... Russians damn well know what's going-on. 115.000 fathers, brothers, husbands nòt returning, or in a casket, and many others returning with body-parts missing.... They knów, they bloody knów, but keep applauding Putin and his cronies.
2
Apparently, Ukraine gives them a choice if they want to be exchanged, or not. It's not often mentioned, but Ukraine, in some cases, even offers a new identity for some prisoners of war if can be proven they did not commit actual war crimes. Zelensky has openly stated as such, somewhere in the beginning of this invasion.
2
As with all great package holidays to vacation destinations, there ought to be fireworks for extra entertainment. Ukraine delivers!
2
@CarbonatedLithium Never been in actual firefights, haven't ya?? The Range =/= battlefield
2
When the mines are cleared from the fields, Ukraine will be one of the biggest agrarian industries in the world. They already were ‘The breadbasket’ of the sovjets, all those decennia ago, and it will only get better. It hasn’t gone innoticed how many countries/regions in the world depended on Ukraine’s grain, so I bet that investments in Ukrainian agro-biz wil explode like we have never seen vefore.
2
Cabbage and lentils, actually. When lentils suddenly rose in price, a bit of panic actually started in the big russian cities at the beginning of the war.
2
Spot. On! If Russia implodes (again) don't be surprised there 'suddenly' are Chinese troops in Russian Manchuria to "keep the peace between the government and separatists"
2
Worse even. When Russia lost a war against an adversary they thought 'inferior' (Japan) in 1905, losing most of the Tsarist navy in the process, it set the stage for the fall of the Tsar. It took about 10 years and another loss, for tsarist Russia to implode. Nowadays things move wáy faster. Putin knows damn-well that nó dictator, Tsar or King, èver, survived losing a war. Hence his desperate attempts to stop the (as it currently looks) inevitable by throwing endless amounts of dumb cannon-fodder at an adversary that is slowly, but surely becoming technologically- and strategically, superior.
2
@billhicks808 Mebbe he mixed-up Russian and Ukrainian casualties? Home-brewn Vodka does weird things to yer braincells.. 😋
2
And don’t forget the 50,000 pieces of specialized full winter gear they got donated from Canada… It’s almost asif the Canadiand knèw something..
2
Seems like it, yeah. What is it called "They're riding the tiger" or something? They got on it, but cannot dismount because the tiger would rip them to shreds. The 'tiger' not being the Ukes, for a change, but their own, ever angrier populace. Russia's media is already very angry that things are going south, given the insane outbursts of the commentators.. or loony-bin inhabitants, on their 'news' media...
2
They won't. Their way of waging war has been systematic, well thought-out and very measured. They're not stupid. Far from it.
2
That's the thing that àctually worries me. By now, it must be pretty clear to those annexed RF states that the 'feared Russian army' is a bit of a paper tiger, and that only the mercenaries exhibit something like "military prowess".. Many of those states house ICBM launch bases, and other nukes, ànd -thanks to Russia's Cold-War habit of trying to spread the risk of not being able to shoot back when Russia gets nuked, some of them àlso have their own launch keys.. And to add to the risk, many have blood-feuds running for centuries with their neighbours. The brutal power of the Russian army that kept them from going for each others' throat has fallen away to a large part. It only needs a spark for (nuclear) hell to break loose. Probably also one of the reasons that Putain is so cruel in ordering attacks on civilian targets: To make it look as if he's still a "Strong Man" to those states.
2
@daniellarson3068 Hence Ukraine leaving walking as a possibility to retreat. Orcs can walk back to relatively 'safe' places, defeated, without hardware. So, in retrospect, I don't think Ukraine wants to slaughter the 20.000 orcs. But if the orcs dón't take the chance offered to walk back home.. well... 😈
2
@patronspatron7681 Nytt sjømålsmissil or JSM (I believe) initially developed to be carried by the JSF, but with the modifications it can be slung under SU-25's and other Soviet-era fighters.
2
@hjf3022 I checked his YT account.. he is.. ehh "not exactly there" so to speak.. Minty fresh account too. Always a bit sus'
2
The same from Norway. Almost all personnel involved in guarding the northern border between Norway and Russia is gone. 2 whole brigades.
2
Orrrr…. ‘Took too many pills’ The kind of pills that makes you dance through the night, and then ‘see things’ that are not there…. 😋
2
@urkiddingme6254 Which was.. kind of spot-on, actually.. :P
2
RUSSIA would be deleted.. And the RF-Republics would rejoice.
2
@MrZenGuitarist Indeed. They'd die either way, so giving-up/surrendering would seem like taking at least a chance. However, the footage of drones dropping ordnance on Russians, huddled in foxholes, suffering from hypothermia it seems, hardly even moving when they see/hear a drone, makes me feel that they've already given-up, and lack even the energy to try and surrender. A very sad way to 'go'.
2
I believe the Orcs know damn well what hit them.. but having to admit your scary expensive AA systems don't work? At all? They just cannot do that. If they did, it would be an open invitation to anyone wanting to nix Orc targets "Look.. we cannot defend from airstrikes and missiles..have at it" .. :P Not that it is already pretty clear their SAM systems 'lack' some important abilities like, say, actually detecting, let alone hitting, deadly aerial toys... Though, admittedly, they sometimes seem to hit some targets.. probably by accident.. They seem to have got one of the volley of HIMARS that hit that bridge.. shame that the other 5 slammed into tthe bridge unhindered.. 😂
2
@Cato G That would work, indeed. There’s a lot in the support-packages from the US, and NATO in general, that isn’t mentioned. Millions of dollars and euro’s that are spent on weapons not actually mentioned. Jake has made that small calculation a couple of times. The things explicitly mentioned in the aid-packages, do not cover the actual amount of money spent. Sooo… there’s a significant bit of ‘black budget’ so to speak. Anti-radar missiles could be a big part of it, given the success of Ukraine in blowing-up ammo- and fuel storages relatively unhindered by Anti Air defences.
2
.. And when the camera stopped, added that he would personally shoot ànyone that even remotely contemplated surrender.. Apparently commanders got specific instructions to immediately shoot anyone that ran away from the 'enemy' Thing is.. a lot of commanders ran first.. after ordering the poor conscripts to "hold the line".
2
🤣🤣
2
Why am I not surprised. Afa I am concerned, she is a really good representative of the garbage people that are the Ultra Right Wing core of the GOP. She's vile. Evil, egotistic egocentrism incarnated. Living proof that women can àlso be full-on sociopaths. (though, it is more rare)
2
@leonieromanes7265 Heh, indeed.. and they then wait for the tow trucks…or tractors .. On a more serious note, witnesses have reported they actually saw orcs leave their tanks and apc’s, switch to civvies, and run for it. You’d almost think that not every Russian soldier is a big fan of this war, unlike the crazies on Russian TV.
2
@larkhill2119 Yeah.. Their TV channels are a bit like that dog sitting in a fire, sipping tea. But with more war-mongering loons.
2
China is already eyeing Russian Manchuria. China and Russia have been quarrelling about that region since 1945.. The war in Ukraine is slowly, but surely depleting Russia of good military hardware and properly trained soldiers..so "Do the math"
2
Interesting ànd enlightening. I was already reasonably well versed in the way US politics works -coming from a family where many studied in The States, however, the nitty-gritty and smaller details always eluded me. Things are much clearer now. Many Thanks for that!
2
@chrisbishop3687 Nope.. it's lazy. You got the whole of the bloody inter webs at yer fingertips. But I'll indulge ya: Russian anti-tank ordnance has been fired at Abrams, Leopards and Challengers in Iraq and Afghanistan in huge quantities.. grenade launchers, rockets and artillery. The worst that happened was that tracks got blown-off. immobilising the tank. IED's were much more of a problem, which was finally tackled by adding more spaced-armour. (It's those odd, thick blocks you see hanging off the skirts of f.i. Challengers) and adapting the armour on the underside of f.i. the Leopards used in Afghanistan.
2
I'd more like a slowly, but steady deflating tyre... Then again, economic collapses can happen in a flash.
2
Or generally 'disappear'
2
1 dead defender to 3 to 5 invaders. Bye now.
2
Putain has tried everything.. Maybe next go for "Poor defenceless Aliens kept prisoner in Ukraine under orders from the USA" Just a suggestion, though, it ìs a bit hard to out-batshit truly batshit insane people and their ideas..,.. Maybe he'll get some loony russian ufologists to fight for him? 🤣 On a more serious note: Palputin and his cronies must be really, rèally desperate by now... Their brains seem to be melting from fear and stress. That evacuation 'Exercise' is indeed, trying to tell us something, I'd say. Added to that, the Iranian drones seem to be about to suddenly dry-up.. "Someone" has started to blow-up assembly plants and parts manufacturers. First just in Syria, but now in Iran itself too. "koff".. Maglan.. "koff" *whistles innocently..
