Orcs aren't complete idiots (though close.. :P ) A large scale Special Ops like blowing up 9+ aircraft PLUS the ammo bunkers and other stuff will only work once before security will be as tight as a steel noose. At least it was like that when I served, decennia ago, and we had break-ins in ammo storages. We also immediately got the 'shoot first, ask questions later if it still moves' command..

The payout to relatives is way cheaper if they call it ' an accident' Ergo: They prefer to save a buck, so recruiting old geezers that will then be blown-up in one of those "accidental, spontaneous combustions' of ammo-dumps is just good economics.. :P... Interesting side-note: When Nazi-Germany was about to implode, and the Allies were at the gates of Berlin, Hitler started to recruit old men and children in desperation. I wonder if we are seeing something similar here..

The Russian airforce already tried.. to be shot out of the air by - in our western eyes - rather antiquated Anti Air systems and bloody shoulder fired missile systems that were already in use in the Afghan war. And the ‘Republican Guard? Really? Their elite ‘Spetsnatz’ paratroopers got wiped-out in the first days of the siege of Kyiv. Still the inane idea that Russia ‘holds back’ their best troops and material… they didn’t. They’re now deploying tanks from the sixties and trying to get men above 45 in the military, even going as far as attempting to lure 50-year olds into service.. They’re going for old-fashioned WW2 tactics : Throw cannon fodder at the enemy untill they give-up, or run out of ammo.. However, enthousiasm to rnter the fray isn’t exactly high in Russia itself, and without actually declaring it ‘A War’ Putin can’t force a mobilization.. oosie..

  12. Apparently, Those tungsten buckshot missiles have already been deployed, with devastating effectiveness. Worse for the orcs: They work against moving targets too. The sudden rise of Orc deaths from about 450 every 1- to 2 days, to about 600 to 800 appears to point at that..

  13. Seems exactly what Ukraine is doing. No 'big push', just knawing away at the occupiers, bit by bit. First pummel the roads and bridges to a pulp, then Lobbing grenades and missiles at the Orcs from outside of the range of Russian Artillery. The advantage of having modern 30- to 40km range M777 Howitzers, some even with guided shells.. , against Russia's 25km range Artillery and their quickly dwindling stock of cruise-missiles, of which more & more are shot out of the sky. (I wonder if the German Gepard is already doing it's 'thing' )

  18. Indeed. It starts with a moist foot, then toes freeze, then the foot turns black. And doing exhausting things like running from shelling or drones makes one sweat. Insufficient clothing makes the sweat freeze, and hypothermia can no longer be prevented. Russians also have a booze-problem. What I learnt in the (admittedly meagre) low temperature training, was that booze makes you feel warm, but actually makes your body cool down even further, but you don't notice, or notice too late that you're cold. Ukraine is also a fair bit of relatively flat agricultural lands. If the wind picks-up, and You're already cold due to crappy gear, it gets even worse. So there's that.

I don't exactly know how much truth there is to it, but the rumour-mill also whispers that Ukraine already has the 300km range HIMARS missiles via Rumania and Poland.. "plausible deniability' for the US.. and it would explain some giant 'kabloois' in the Donbass and Crimea, that are technically WAY out of range of the 70km variation.. but that's HIGHLY speculative..
