@wncwaterfalls The Democrats don't care. Or at least the leadership doesn't and the rank and file aren't gutsy enough to demand change.

It disgusts me that people are so OK with these campaigns completely ignoring most of the country to focus on a small number of states. And, it hurts the down ballot races when there isn't the opportunity for those candidates to appear along side the Presidential candidates.

Yes, which is why they do it. A universal policy would help more people and offer less of a distraction from the oligarchs that caused the problem in the first place.

Ever since they started worrying more about electability than policy, they've run worse and worse candidates. It's hard for me to imagine why I should vote for anybody the major parties are pushing because none of them are actually going to do things to improve my life. Both candidates could have given the American people health care during the pandemic via the provision in the ACA to do so during a pandemic, and they chose not to.

@Jerome-t9t9 Yes, people need to stop letting Obama and the Democrats off the hook. Obama could have whipped the necessary votes to include a public option, he just didn't really want to include something that would be that audacious. Meanwhile, the Democrats have done basically nothing to address the mistake in the years since.
