To avoid having employees shop for everyone they know, instead of an employee discount, Costco pays a bonus twice a year to employees who are at the top of the salary range.

There are a few restrictions with electronics. Glasses at Costco are much cheaper than anywhere else. That may be why your optometrist hates Costco.

  37.  @ramrv43  The Costco story began in 1976. Everything has gone up since then. Recently, Costco has resisted raising their membership fee. Costco execs went on record last September saying you didn’t have to worry about member prices going up anytime before January 2023. But now that we’re past that date, it’s “a question of when, not if” fees will go up, and that they’ll let us know as soon as they have a date. Historical increases have been $5 to $10.
