  3. He's saying that solar is better than wind, so might as well use that instead of wind, in Vermont- what is the issue? are you saying he should be against both? He's stated in the past that coal and/or nuclear is the only efficient means to power such countries- but he's making an argument against the "substandard wind" energy, in favor of the "solar alternative" in the "green crazed Vermont". Do you see what i'm getting at? He's not saying one thing or the other is "the best", not above the standard coal, or nuclear.

  4. Right, but Styx is just "leveling" with them..."them" being the people who insist on using green energy. I think he's talked about the wont for better alternatives but that the notion of switching off of coal and nuclear is insufficient at this time.

  6. Solar Isolation. So what? Places can still GENERATE solar energy- even if it's not as a effective as it could be- and in places where there is less isolation, they could sell that energy- so what's the problem?

  7. Give me a break. It's a minor decision. No one is talking about 'shifting' into Solar, just that it should be available and efficacious in it's availability, it's an economical argument that Styx seems to be making, and he isn't deferring that solar 'replace' anything, or even much more than, something like, "free market solution to green energy...solar panels are a good alternative to wind'. Can you just suss the problem with that statement? if you really want to teach me something- I don't think an econ book is going to explain the problem with Styx's apparent logic here. I could be wrong, but hey....
