  2. This is one of the cons with nationalism (among the pros), people tend to focus on the collective, as opposed to factions within a nation. It's just too easy to label some problem as "American" and have that be the broadstrokes opinion of every American, when not every American is a part of said 'problem'. In this way problems can just invented.
