Socialism is a stop-gap for when a country is on it's down swing- a temporary measure, at best- but given the nature of government, it's not nearly possible to have enactments that are as temporarily assumed as needs be for them to be effective. This is why making your own shit is the best way to go, because regardless of down-ticks in the economy, you can still work for yourself; as it should be...and still isn't. The way things are even now are not viable.
