There has always been a collusion between left-wing and right-wing parties in US politics, and hence, in that sense, it's never just been liberals who have conflagrated this propensity for a socialistic house of cards. And at that point, what is really the difference- some people want to retain their capital, so they socialize the lower-rungs of society.
