Psychic reaction [hallucination, whether by audition or visual image] would lend to interactive/symbolic environment [language] which one then reacts to. If believed as "ghosts" or "demons", this "reaction" remains as a reposit of constancy that contracts the experience as a certain type, which then feeds a certain "current" of belief, which then needs be either resisted or accepted [which then leads to further "analysis" of the subject in question].
