  1. Their station precedes them. If they are ahead of curve, it's because they were allowed to be. No one gets ahead of the curve, not without a turn from the cornerstone. They were handed a position, with the advent of their work, sure, I'd believe that. But they are not just 'leaders' by windfall. Technology has always been heading in this direction- under the direction of certain institutions. The "tutelage", you might say. With this 'positioning' they are "lashing out" because they feel so compelled by political forces undergoing the fostering of a revolutionary mind [again by those very same directing forces of tutelage] in the Fourth Estate.
