  5. My 9 year old granddaughter has been glued to me doing yardwork, planting and always up for anything. Lately it is more of a challenge to distract her from social media. She does a grandpa sleepover night once a week. I still do a lot of stuff and things that are not ordinary with her. We can't expect kids or grandkids to grow up and want to spend their time with the elderly. I expected it a lot earlier based on kids and older grandkids, so I am enjoying what time we have. I know I am imprinted in my kids and grandkids heart, but just like I did as a kid, we move on and grow up. These days, just viewing your wife as a best friend is doomed. If you have no life beyond them, that's the way it will be. Learn to be happy on your own. Most of my close friends I grew up around got into drugs and alcohol or died. I drifted away from that and now living across the country, my animals, farm and gardening is my life. Fixing cars and whatever projects I get into. Occasionally, as money is available I will travel some, but can't afford to do that very often. This guy's relationship falling apart with his wife is a good precursor to other relations failing. Kids either take sides or drift away to get out of the drama. He should focus on his wife and if that is not going anywhere, get a road map on how to get out, it won't get better.

Realizing this and that they could not designate it for drug loss, the company reformulated it, basically increasing the level of the drug and renamed it and then sold it for weight loss. Forget about all the side effects that someone is subject too. Granted that if a diabetic needs it to lose weight and improve health, the risk might be worth it. But now everyone that feels like they need to lose weight are jumping on the reformulated drug and also beginning to suffer complications. But the company is making big, big bucks from the new drug and having redesigned and reclassified the drug.

There are many other countries that might have a lot to offer, but it seems its only a matter of time before the infection spreads. I've tracked the expat Philippines movement for over a year and slowly watched that degrade, maybe not everywhere, but the signs are there that its spreading. Watching young province type girls that were the ideal of a good relationship, slowly get into social media and buying into wanting money and stuck on being pretty to flaunt themselves online. It seems that social media for all it potential to be a good thing, is taking people to a bad place. With tiktok leading the way. By design? Maybe.

America has places, towns, rural communities that have good values and it's usually when the younger generations get changed by media and social media, that they shift and maybe years or decades later, they look back and see how good it was, but in most cases, it's too late to go back. Same with rural women in other countries. If they go to the cities, they usually lose their upbringing values.

  25. My concerns are if you base out of a home place that is really expensive to live in, it gets really hard and draining to earn the money extra to travel. Growing up in Hawaii, I was mostly trapped all my life due to the cost to get off the island, not to mention to fly to the mainland or anywhere else and then pay for all the costs that go into traveling. I now live in Virginia and while it's doable in my income, I have a house, property and farm animals, but even then, it's hard to afford just a road trip within the state. The idea of basing where it's cheap and then being able to quickly save money to travel is what appeals to me.

Many have their language and English is a second language, so they may not be able to express themselves in the English language, but it is not because they are not intelligent. So many have college and other business knowledge. So for all these western women that put them down, how about listening to yourselves? How educated are you? Do you talk in all slang and like trailer trash or direct from the streets? There are cultural differences with anybody, even in the west, not everyone is the same culture. But it takes some effort to understand the other person's culture and belief system.

  37. I'm a grandfather retired boomer. With three kids, six grankids and two ex-wives, I went through early retirement due to a disability, which led to bankruptcy and foreclosure. Now 10 years later, I have good credit, a new home and land in Virginia. Most of the last 18 years since my last divorce, I've helped at least one of my three kids at various times. Now my eldest grandson just finished aircraft mechanic school and has a job working on small planes and earning a halfway good income, the same as fast food workers in California. He's getting good experience, but will need to move to a bigger company before long to double or even triple his income. A 21 year old man that knows the whole dilemma that is dating, he will enjoy life single and having toys. I basically am providing his home and some expenses, as he doesn't make enough to be entirely on his own yet. He is doing his best to help me pay my bills and money I have put out for him, but until he can move to a higher paying job, he is stuck living with me. I would love to just enjoy retirement and have plenty of income and few expenses, but that day is not yet, soon though. As a father and grandfather, I enjoy my ability to help my family, but the economy in this country is making it harder and harder for young people to get out on their own.
