Thats a stupid statement, the new pistons have new stronger inliners with way better piston rings as well, the piston wear is not at all an issue as it used to be back in old 05-06 petrol turbos, but soot formation was an issue because most turbo petrol's were Di,but this new i3 is Di+PFi so its basically an almost perfect motor And I think this motor has a chance of rivaling the BMW 1.5l i3

  11. Even if the Focus RS was 1s ahead the gap was too much... The RS would have won by a car length... Se when manual R is put against manual R, the RS wins, the RS does 0-100 kmph in 4.9s dead, the Golf R manual does in 5.0-5.2 and its only by 400m the Golf R will start closing gap with RS

SPACE = the Focus MK III had even more worse legroom, boot space than a Skoda Fabia, how pathetic, compared to that their cross overs like Kuga/Escape had way better SPACE, the Mondeo again , it felt like even a VW Jetta/Skoda Octavia has more room inside than these stupid Fords

  20. Dont be too hasty the new Ford Escape is on the works, it wont be lame at all because its based on the Focus C2 platform with same 53 mm longer wheelbase and 11 mm wider chassis and same tech as Focus SO it will be a good cross over , probably as fun to drive as Mazda CX series as well

  23. ***** U r terribly wrong man See more than 90% of car buyers prefer space over aesthetics, proof is in Golf sales, Golf is Europes best selling car for decades for a reason, its not that its vastly better than Focus in how it drives and handles or even looks, its the sheer space and practicality it offers with a quality cabin that attracts people See if U want a fun machine, get a sports bike, can travel with 2 and yet be faster and 10x more fun than any car at a Fiesta or Focus price range, a CBR 650 etc will give U even better mileage than a Fiesta ecoboost and can stay with even an Audi R8 in a straight line... So what Ford has started doing is LOGICAL thinking, the KA+ will also get updated with new 1.1l engine by 2017 December with more tech and more gadgets as options to level the gap in price between KA+ and Fiesta, so as to keep car buyer focused to basic motoring 1st and FUN 2nd

  26. ***** I havr driven the RS at Slovakia Ring at the Ford press event, Loved it,but in my hands the RS did a 2:34.xx On thr same day a Type R easily did 2:32.xx so, I was thinking whats wrong The issue is post 100 mph or 160 kmph the RS has very weak accelaration, On shor tight tracks the RS is a blast,nothing can easily be as fast as RS, So I do love track and visits em whenever possible, some traxks demands joining some clubs which I dont do,but public track days are ma favourite and RS I think can make every track day feel different and special.

RDU kills some HP when put on road 3. The RS 2.3 engine itself has a dead spot at 5500 rpm where power dips off drastically post 5500 rpm Thats Y RS is not the quickest thing in straight line Regarding the actual power on wheels U r absolutely right

Well that was the MK III Focus, the most unsuccessful Focus in Fords Focus history, its achievements include just the worlds best selling car title in 2013 and the AWD in RS, rest everywhere it was junk, I too agree, but test drove the new one last week and I ve got to say, I am impressed, I too would pick it over a Golf, specially the ST Line, great value for money and rides and handles like a hot hatch and yet comfortable, also new Focus seems to have sorted the elephant in room with MK III Focus, SPACE , the rear seats specially felt as spacious or better than MK VII.5 Golf

  37. derbigpr500 I know this is Europe,and the difference in quality between Focus built in USA and Europe is only in base variants and engines used, rest all is same, in fact USA has a better SYNC 3 system than the ugly SYNC 2 in Europe Focus in Europe or USA is heavily flawed, European Ford engineers suck when it comes to packaging space inside cars The Fiesta,Focus,new Mondeo are clear examples, all 3 have some of the least legroom and head room in class, boot space too sucks big time for Fiesta and Focus despite both being longer and wheelbase too being longer than something like Golf/Astra Then comes fit finish, even in European Focus there are lots of grey shiny plastics used, and fit and finish is terrible compared to even Renaults, at least they could be using dark grey plastic like in Renaults dont bother whether its hard or not handling too is not upto mark nowadays in Focus compared to Mazdas Also I ve found most new Fords are over weights, new Mondeo Titanium Sport weighs a whopping 1790 kg, the new Passat which is far far far better in interior quality,fit finish, refinement,space,and can easily match Mondeos driving quality is just 1700 kg on highline trim,I dont know how cheap plastics weigh so much in Fords same is the case of new Golf/Octavia vs Focus, Focus 2.0 TDCi Sport weighs a whopping 1546 kg as opposed to 1511 kg of DSG MK 7 Golf Highline,I cant understand this as well So I think Ford is far far behind the competition, SPACE is LUXURY, Ford still dosent understand this, they make cars that are large outside but small inside
