I see you are losing a good number of Fortune 500s of late reportedly due to crime, heavy corporate and individual taxation, and (let’s face it) bad management. As I understand it the Chicago area generates 75% of the state’s revenue. I also read that government pensions are now sucking up like 25% of the state’s general fund. Sounds like the mismanagement goes way back. That’s a pickle and I see why Chicago is such a mess. I wonder if you could argue that the state be put into a sort of receivership until you all find some people to run it who can balance a checkbook, let alone a budget.

  9.  @BadTimes1776  I think what we are seeing here is the end of the viability of the capitalist model. We, the US, propelled the industrial revolution to amazing heights. But in our quest to make luxury accessible to the masses, we outsourced production to countries with few if any labor laws and ever cheaper means of production. It is now the non-urban areas that used to be about agriculture and manufacturing are now stagnating. I don’t have a clue how we fix this or if it can even be fixed. It doesn’t appear to be fixable. But I do know this way bigger than party politics. I also know that we, as a people, better still art having dialogue about how we’re going to deal with this going forward and that is not happening. Everyone is so busy trying to vilify the other side, they are not focusing on solutions, only bitching about problems to gain the perception advantage. It’s ridiculous. Very soon, e are going to have to decide what we are about. Our humanity and principles will be tested to the max in the coming days. I hope we are who we say we are or we hints are going to get very ugly for all.

Why do you think he is under indictment so far in 3 separate cases with another big one on the way?

Abbot in TX put barbed-wire coils along the Rio Grande and ordered border patrol to push them all back into the river, including children. Is that what you think America is about? Is that consistent with the principles on which this country was founded? Are you willing to advocate shooting illegal border crossers on sight? Because that is what it will take to stop them. Educate yourself god damn it, instead of listening to self-obsessed opportunists!
