  2. Roland, you need to put the reality of issues into language that conveys the complexities of any issue without going over anyone’s head. The republicans have gotten a lot of traction using lofty platitude talking points spread among black communities. This idea that a candidate “hasn’t done enough EXCLUSIVELY for black people.” had to have been planted by republicans strategists. You need to break down the realities of our political system to them so they understand HOW things get done in this country. Take the Chicago migrant crisis, for example. Republicans have South Chicago blaming the mayor of Chicago for it! You need to simplify and explain that immigration falls exclusively under federal jurisdiction. Explain what that means along with where money for immigration matters comes from and how and to whom money for immigration issues is allocated. Then you can show them that while republicans bitch and lay blame on democrats for the migrant crises in cities like Chicago, they are simultaneously not only blocking the funding of ANY possible solutions by blocking the passage of the FEDERAL budget, but are demanding massive cuts for the agencies responsible for dealing with immigration. In essence, republicans have CREATED (see slimeball Gov Abbott’s bussing policy) the migrant crisis in Chicago et al, and are now PREVENTING anything from being done about it. Yet they have convinced many Chicagoans to not only blame local politicians for it, but have positioned themselves as the communities’ saviors. They’ve got a good percentage of the population actually believing the irrelevant designation of being a “sanctuary city” is the reason the immigrants are there. ALL americans need to pull the wool from over their eyes and understand that NO issue exists in a vacuum and that they must be understood in a broader sense. Black Americans need to understand that the republicans are but wolves in sheep’s clothing who neither want nor need the black vote. They just don’t want them voting democrat. Trickery, cheating, and deceit is the name of the republican game these days. DON’T BE FOOLED!

  16. Exercise a little empathy and put yourself in a cop’s shoes. You are the cop assigned to an anti-drug trafficking task force. It comes down from headquarters that there’s been an upswing of traffickers using buses to traffic up and down the Atlantic corridor. Thus, you are told to be suspicious of all buses and to perform random checks if a traffic violation occurs. There is a protocol established for such stops and it is taught to you as a member of the task force. You see the bus in this story driving in the left lane (probably at about 50-55 mph as it’s a school bus) impeding faster traffic. That’s why there’s a law prohibiting trucks from driving in the fast lane. You stop the bus. Now when you approach that bus, which is your job to do, you expect 1 of 2 things; either it’s a school bus full of kids traveling thru the state in a bus with out-of-state plates, OR the bus is a beard for a cartel and is carrying 100 kilos of cocaine for distribution, in which case it is reasonable to believe there could be heavily armed people in that bus facing huge mandatory minimums if they get caught; In other words, people who have nothing to lose. If the latter is even remotely possible, wouldn’t you approach with caution? Also, as a cop, you are well aware that “jails are full of innocent people,” meaning criminals never admit wrong doing. You’ve learned NOT to trust what people say, but to remain objective and investigate for yourself. Now you do your investigation and it turns up nothing, as I’m sure many such stops do. You realize apologize for the delay and, recognizing the driver is out of state, let the driver slide on the citation. I guarantee you those guys conducted the stop as they were trained to do. What would you have done differently in their shoes?
