  1. True. This whole argument is ridiculous. I don't see how I could compare LoTR with Harry Potter. The one is the saga of the end of the Third Age in Middle Earth, the other is the story of a young wizard. The one's main villain is like a gathering storm, the other's like a lurking wolf. The one is told with distance to all characters, the other follows his protagonist closely. Just because both are considered "fantasy" they don't have to have the same purpose.

  6. Didn't realize any change in Spongebob; the Simpsons mostly got better in my opinion and Two and A Half Men was unbearable after a few episodes (I get it - they're asses to one another). One show that really lost me was The Walking Dead. After this time leap from Season 2 to Season 3 the characters had become unlikable cold blooded killers. Also the guy with the caravan was dead and the woman with the Samurai sword and two Zombie servants, who was teasered in such a great manner, became dull very soon.

  9. More real?! You can clearly see his skipping movements due to the stop motion. The computer animation is so much more elaborate and realistic... Also the most important point is, that computer animated characters can be played by actors, can support proper mimics.

"one of two" Melkor thrust his spear into both of them and Ungoliant drained the light of Telperion and Laurelin, poisened them and killed them. Well there's very little shown of Gandalf's fight with the Balrog, whereas Dumbledore vs Voldemort is described in detail in the books and almost fully shown in the movie.

All of our technology is the fruits of a society that has defied the clergy, that has defied bigotry.   46. Martijn van Beurden The Silmarillion was never written to appeal to an audience. It was Tolkien's personal approach to myth which his son edited into a small book. This said I didn't find it all that hard to follow, when you keep looking up the names and places while reading.
