Asked her out. She's already with a guy twice my size. I'm waiting for the heat death of the universe now, I guess.

@viperblitz11 M'deity.
50
Oh no! Who would want to live in a world without aids!
42
If so, you are praying wrong. Praying means exchanging attention for blessings. Gods crave attention even more than women do.
30
It's not the "politicians", but the voters.
24
Just because you can look up how it works within minutes doesn't mean you can build it.
18
Total bullshit. Firstly bureaucracy is precisely what makes sure that votes count and things are determined by the "will of the citizens". Secondly all democracies in Europe are representative, not just the EU. Thirldy Article 13 is extremely harmful to many big corporations.
11
Reduced productivity is a kind of emergence. The total is less productive than it's parts.
9
>we can't even handle when someone has another skin color, or comes from another country Well speak for yourself. People have traded with others continents apart for over ten thousand years.
9
Bureaucracy and democracy go hand in hand. Without bureaucracy there is only corruption and dictatorship.
8
Physical symmetries have nothing to do with symmetries in animals or plants. Even using the same word for it can be confusing.
8
Science not that high quality imo. The universe could be finite without curvature, light could arrive at different times without it being a torus, the big bang doesn't imply a finite past and so on. But yeah, they're definitely on the level or better of most information that you find when quickly looking up a topic.
7
Bureaucracy is what distinguishes a modern liberal democracy from a corrupt dictatorship.
7
The romantic credo: 1. The past is better than the future. 2. Everything is a zerso sum game. 3. Problems are only solved with violence.
6
I think you are confusing evolution with god. Neither does what you say make any sense in the first place.
6
>in fact, it is outside the Moon's sphere of influence. This means that any satellites deployed from it would immediately go into Earth orbit. Where do you get that from?
6
That makes no sense.
5
@lastsamurai3662 You guys are so cringe, it's unbearable.
5
No. A law is a mathematical description of a single dependence in nature. A theory is much more awesome than that, since it explains multiple dependencies and phenomena and may include many laws.
5
The problem with solar and wind is that you need to most energy when there is the least wind and sun.
4
There is no risk if you only do it properly. This was quite a lazy video,
4
How Is This a Name What you are doing is called projection. Because you have no idea how fracking works, you accuse others of having no idea how it works. If you had spent as much as five minutes informing yourself, you would have found out what exactly the potential dangers in fracking are and why it CANNOT poison drinking water when done properly.
4
Those people are called cruel cowards. If you can help, but refuse to, that's equivalent to creating the calamity yourself. Not preventing disease when you could is equivalent to creating disease intentionally.
4
An alien species forcing their offspring through millennia of suffering is not a nice thing. And the belief that victims are ultimately responsible for their own suffering is wicked in the highest degree. You have left Christianity behind so why fall into another pit of victim blaming.
4
Yeah that's complete bullshit.
4
Yes, it would be deeply unethical to have an unhealthy child unnecessarily. And there should be laws against it.
3
MrAlexkyra Oh excuse me for actually caring about other people.
3
@abcd abcd True. It's kind of a shit stain on their library.
3
>>According to evolutionary theory, humans stopped evolving several thousand years ago.<< Saying something idiotic like that only shows that you know nothing about evolution at all.
3
What the fuck are you rambling about, you fool? You missed the entire point of the video and in your blissful ignorance, you feel like the smart one. XD
3
@hr2x >We kill eachother because we simply dont like eachother. No. I don't understand how you can grow up and have such an absolutely idiotic understanding of conflict.
3
Firstly they were noticed. Secondly politicians are supposed to represent their voters, not who is currently on the streets. Thirdly "politicans" are not just one homogenous mass, but they disagreed with each other and many voted against Article 13. So you and those 2000 people are completely full of shit.
3
You already failed to surpass your intellectual limits... Think about what "limit" means.
3
Your puny deity didn't stop us from making smartphones. But perhaps it will punish you for using the web. What a pitiful envious god.
3
Less disease = less choice? What were you thinking when you wrote that, Jason?
3
In a representative democracy, the members of the parliament are not obligated to follow the loudest party on the streets. Otherwise there would be no point in representative democracy, don't you think?
3
This video is about cognitive functions, not consciousness. It completely misses the point. The question is not why, for example, an inner representation of the world is useful, but why it is experienced. Consciousness doesn't cause anything, it just is. Every explanation that makes it useful for something is fundamentally wrongheaded. By it's nature consciousness must have developed accidentally as a byproduct of something else.
3
Firstly that's false. Secondly without those "pointless wars" there would be no possibility of research anyways.
3
There shouldn't be a "food chain". Our proximal goal should be to deinstall the "food chain" here, not to extend the suffering to other planets.
3
Bingo. The video missed the point entirely.
3
I'm no longer a smoker, that never smokes, I'm a non-smoker, who smokes every day.
3
@dassimplefolk Why not just use weights instead? No need for scifi technology and vast ammounts of energy just to get a little heavier.
3
True. Diseases that only affect humans are also much less harmful, because their own lethality would have eradicated them.
2
That makes no sense whatsoever. It makes me sad that 600 people upvoted this. I wear glasses, but I'm not at war with people with good eyesight, nor have I seen anyone with bad eyesight reject glasses.
2
Perfect denial of reality.
2
@Galvan >> he kind of did << I don't think "kind of" is enough in this case. Even the mythological Jesus never claimed to want a new religion. He saw himself as a Jew all the way. Further this mythological Jesus is not a historical person. If Jesus of Nazareth is based on an actual person, we still don't know how he would have liked his teachings to be separated from Judaism. If any one person could be called the "founder" of Christianity, it would be Paul.
2
Gratefulness journaling was the worst thing I ever did. Made me feel miserable even when I felt great before. Only do it if your life is actually objectively better than those of others. I think a discontent journal is better.
2
Just Some Guy with a Mustache There is no "out of it".
2
The black holes, too, will eventually decay. And so will all matter.
2
In all scenarios there could be another big bang. More precisely: in our future there could be a time-reversed big bang. So there is the big bang in our past, expansion, heat death, random organization, pulling together, big bang. The direction of time is only defined relatively. So our past is the future of those living "after" the heat death.
