@IK_MK You can't see it.

@IK_MK Next you will be saying the USA won WW2, despite not being there for much of the time.
1
@Stevelso Then he should review it against cars of 57 years ago.
1
Look at this to know about the CX: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJIikK432Rs

The Rover company was well established well before WW2. They made the most successful tank engine of WW2 - the Meteor.

@rainingkillah4471 There is nothing of the Jeep similar to the series 1 Land Rover. Steel was rationed in the UK after WW2. Luxury items were heavily taxed. Rover made upmarket cars. The owners had an old WW2 Jeep on his farm. When discussing the situation to save the company, they said let's make one of these for farmers. The body was lightweight aluminium giving a lower centre of gravity, a metal which was not rationed. Rover made a far better vehicle than the dated fuel thirty Jeep. The British Army assessed the farmers Land Rover then adopted it phasing out Jeeps. Long wheel based versions came along. It could be fixed using a basic tool kit in the middle of deserts and the jungles of Africa, it was so simple. The first vehicle sound heard by millions of people in Africa was a Land Rover. It was vastly more successful than the Jeep.

@rainingkillah4471 You must not make things up.
1
@rainingkillah4471 That is rich coming from a Hollywood induced Yank. I do history, and only history.
1
@rainingkillah4471 Tata was founded in India with British assistamce. If you know your history..............
1
@rainingkillah4471 nonsense
1
A 1985 French car was weird? That was a league away from the dross coming out of the USA.

I drove Chevy pickups and Suburbans in the Middle East deserts. The most unreliable vehicles I have ever drove. We also went in pairs with spare parts, as one breaking down was common. They were poorly made.

This guy has no idea of the history of the Bubble cars. They were to give cheap transportation is devastated post-war Europe. They worked. Look up the Heinkel Kabine. Much better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ke_sPTaaZkc

Who paid you to write that?

@jeepjoseph9036 Tripe.

@IK_MK Try a dictionary.

Unreliable? Complete nonsense. This guy should stick to city streets with air-con and silly trinkets. He hasn't a clue. If I was going off road across a desert, only two vehicles would be considered: Land Rover and Land Cruiser. I know what I am talking about as I spent two years going off road in deserts. The only US vehicles I would consider would be of military specification. But they are not available to the public. And they are as basic as a Land Rover, for obvious reasons. I would only prefer a Land Rover with a straight engine, not the V8. Simple Land Rovers can be fixed with a simple tool kit. They will get you there, while a air-conned Chevy will be stuck, unable to get you out.

ron jeremyjnr you said wrong.
1
He says it could not go up the hill, So why is it being towed on the flat? Do you think we are stupid?

Who paid you to write that?

@johngentile8561 I recognise a US auto Internet plant when I see one.

@johngentile8561 Outed.

Have you ever heard of paragraphs?

British have bad teeth? Nonsense. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/health/news/12054216/Americans-do-not-have-better-teeth-than-the-British-study-concludes.html

In 1976 the US was making cars like this? They were, no kidding: http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/2/4620/941/24047970001_large.jpg

This guy is talking from an American viewpoint. What Americans view as beautiful others do not. The Lagonda a very nice looking car and attractive for sure. In 1976 it must have been a Wow! car.
1
This guy is paid to make derogatory videos on a British car that is making an indent on US sales, in the US. Where I live is swarming with Range Rovers, and has been for most of my life. Yet I have never seen one on a trailer or broken on the side of the road. Is it the air in the USA? No, look at Internet plants.
1
You can't afford one.
1
@criptium £3,000 for a Range Rover? Wow. You can't afford one.
1
@criptium Johnson is an idiot. He asked for an extension.

The Citroen CX was first a British BMC. BMC used subframes, which would hold the engine, g/box and suspension all in the frame. The rear subframe held the suspension. This approach was easy to adept to new cars. Just restyle the body and bolt on the subframes. Farina designed a car for BMC using Austin 1800 subframes. The design was rejected by the useless BMC management. Citroen took it up. The BMC is the yellow car: https://citroenvie.com/tag/bmc-1800/

It is very cool.
