@colinyoung3685 What's moral about forcing someone to carry a pregnancy to term?
51
@chrismarple Atrocities? What the hell are you talking about? You want to see atrocities you need to look at what the US Imperialists did in Korea and Vietnam. Carpet bombing, murder at will of civilians, orders to shoot civilian refugees, biological warfare, the use of Napalm, and threats to use nuclear weapons on Chinese cities. That's the real US "human rights" legacy not Jimmy "Human Rights" Carter building a few homes for the homeless. Carter and the UK backed Pol Pot in the UN with aid filtered through the Royal Dictatorship of Thailand. Just because the Imperialist felt that Vietnam had not been punished enough.
23
@t.s.c-guitar7058 Screw you and your so called free markets. One side owns everything and uses that economic power to maximise profits. A racist two party government is what you have and what we don't need. We are going to take that private property away from you and then you'll have to work for a living like everyone else or you can chose to move into the jungle like Orangutans swinging from tree to tree and eating the low hanging fruit.
11
@gracec1665 That's not what the stats collected by the US CIA says. Cuban healthcare puts the life expectancy right up their with the US. While US life expectancy keeps droping.
11
@gracec1665 Cuba's can say whatever they want. Just because you can find enemies of the revolution for your interviews on every street corner doesn't mean they are being supressed.
10
Ludd Zarko The leaders of the Cuban revolution were no puppets of Moscow. Neither was Albania, Yugoslavia, China, Korea or Vietnam. That is nothing but cold war propaganda. For you everything was a conspiracy launched from Moscow. Nixon was also a believer in such conspiracy demanding FBI director Hoover to find the links between anti war protesters and Moscow. The Sino Soviet split is was a pubic one. The only areas the post WW2 Soviet Union had control of beyond its borders were those countries taken by the Red Army on its way to Berlin. The Yugoslav air force bought US/UK fighter bombers starting in 1951. They were also the original leaders of the non aligned movement.
9
It was a propaganda source for bosses in the UK during the 1926 General Strike.
9
Republicans and Democrats both steal form the working class to keep their rotten system going. It a bipartisan shell game. Reagan signed the first immigrant amnesty bill. Clinton ended "Welfare as we know it." Because Reagan could only provide the necessary rhetoric. Jimmy "Human Rights" Carter voted to keep Pol Pot seated at the UN. Bush pretending to be a compassionate conservative signed the Medicare Part D bill.

@gracec1665 I find this kind of this kind of thing hard to believe because so many lies are told about Cuba. Like how Fidel Castro and Che Guevara were mass murderers. Somehow the people who make these claims can't find the name of just one person being unjustly executed. I should believe what you said because of what? General cynicism? That's the way countries like Canada and UK operate their healthcare systems pay more to get to the head of the line or see a Doctor in private practice.
7
Must be tough having to pay that higher price of 9 million for a years worth of sustainable aviation fuel (biodiesel for jets).. Gates is doing his part though coming up with new and innovative ways to take more for himself at the expense of others.
7
@245-TRIOXIN Come up with the name of just one person who was unjustly executed by Che Guevara. Not Ten, Not Fifty, not One hundred, but just ONE!!! Segregation ended in Cuba on Jan 1st, 1959. Juan Aledia a man as Black as coal was one of the original combatants in the assault on the moncada barracks. He was one of the twelve survivors to come back on the Granma. He was also one of the original Commandates of the Rebel Army. When he passed away he was not only a Cuban general but also a member of the council of state. Now who do you have? Carlos Moore who never participated in the revolution instead spending his youth in a New York high school. Sent there for better opportunities. He shows up in 1961 leaving two years latter. Since then he has been grinding an axe for use against Fidel Castro and the revolution. NOTE Juan Almeida not Juan Aledia
6
@t.s.c-guitar7058 Your not old enough to remember the secret police activities of the FBI's Cointelpro programs. The Attorney General's list of subversive organizations. The case of the Legless Veteran. Nixon's enemies list. J. Edgar Hoover's policy to prevent the rise of a Black Messiah. The Chicago Police assassination of Fred Hampton in his bed with an FBI paid spy providing the Chicago cops a layout of his home. The FBI showing up at your job making insinuations of criminal activity.
6
Slavic Soldier Ya and if your such a Martin Luther King why do you call yourself a soldier? What was done in Eastern Europe was never done in Cuba. Fidel Castro never had control of either Eastern Europe or the Soviet Union. The Cuban Communist Party was created after the revolution. Neither Fidel, Raul or Che were the hand picked stooges of Stalin like most of the Eastern European Communist party Leaders. Tito never got along with Stalin and sent him a message that if Stalin sent anymore assassins he send one to Moscow that wouldn't fail.
6
Ludd Zarko Well what do you know? I am tired of listening to all this crap about mass murder in Cuba . How about the name instead of all these numerical claims of millions and thousands executed or murdered. How about the name of a single person unjustly executed since 1959?
6
@lazaroa7288 You're full of crap. No one was executed unjustly in Cuba because if that was true everyone would know their name. For the cops and their superior officers to say we were just following orders when they fired on unarmed protestors is unacceptable. Batista's thugs murdered with impunity, cut out eyeballs and left bodies on lamp posts. Is Comandante Victor Dreke Black enough for you? He was second in command to Che in the Congo. Nelson Mandela came first to Cuba to personally thank Fidel and the Cuban people for defeating Apartheid South African troops at Cuito Cuanavale in Angola.
5
@Team Ai No matter what happens Fidel Castro will go down in history as the first Latin American leader to stand up to the most powerful capitalist Empire in history and get away with it. The Cuban workers and farmers have shown the whole world that not only is revolution necessary but possible. The US Empire with all its soldiers and foreign bases has only become weaker since 1959. It flails about like a dying monster lashing out in its death throws.
5
@Team Ai Now that your operating under the completed AI algorithms necessary for complete control its time for lift off at Space X Boca Chica beech in Texas for Mars. By the way have you finished replacing the lead pipes in Flint Michigan and wherever else they are still in operation. The water was not good enough for GM but OK'd for Human consumption. Since dead workers don't cost GM anything while corroded engine parts can't be used and sold for a profit.
5
@beckyroque8950 Puerto Rico remains a colony of the United States. Some want Statehood, Some Independence and some the Status Quo. If there was no successful Cuban revolution and people trying to repeat its success in Latin America and elsewhere would the US have the same incentive to aid development in Latin America. Puerto Rico is in and out of crisis as can be seen in the Protests over issues like education and electric rates and service. The rest of Latin America has seen US engineered Military Dictatorships along with some refusing to follow the US Imperialist line on Cuba and other issues.
5
@blazednlovinit Such a question is immaterial. First there is no such thing as a "communist country' outside of the minds of the anti communists and some in the Stalinist movement like the now deceased Nikita Khrushchev. The peak of prestige and power for the Stalinists can be defined as some time during WW2 when the Democratic Imperialists Churchill and FDR needed him for the defeat of the Axis powers. When Stalin sat for pictures with Churchill and FDR it must have bothered the old anti communist Churchill no end since he lead the British Empire's call to "Strangle Bolshevism in its Cradle." German surrendered on May 7, 1945. On May 5, 1946 Churchill marked the beginning of the cold war with his speech famous Iron Curtain speech in Fulton, Missouri with President Harry Truman at his side. The American Stalinist who had been such loyal lapdogs breaking strikes for the good of the Soviet Union, touting the End of the Class Struggle looking forward to shaking the American monopolist hands now found themselves being routed into 5 year stretches at the US Penitentiary. The anti labor witch hunt had begun.
5
How difficult is it to understand that The Great Purge of 1935 was lead by Stalin and those who wanted an end to the revolutionary course charted by Lenin and Trotsky. How many old bolsheviks were executed after frame up charges of being agents of Hitler? If one is to believe the Soviet government of Stalin than Lenin surrounded himself with fascists who organized a revolution. Then to say we are to ignorant to understand a disciple of Stalin? A revolutionary party where all discussion is shut down with firing squads and replaced with patronage, legal and illegal corruption is nothing more than a protective shell to save cowards on a counter revolutionary course back to capitalism.
5
@gracec1665 The American communists have had a Party here since 1919. Before that we had a large socialist party. In the 1928 split between Trotskyist and Stalinist they said we were only three generals without an Amy. Today the Socialist Workers Party is a well organized communist movement. The Communist Party USA not so much. Starting with the Soap Boxes we have always been at the forefront of defending the Bill of Rights for all working people. Only last week we won a victory for the rights of prisoners in Florida to read our newspaper TheMilitant.com We also forced an end to secret police tactics by the FBI in Socialist Workers Party v Attorney General for the time being.
5
@gracec1665 I'm close to the Mexican border and medical tourism is just a few steps away from the US side of border for Dentistry of all kinds at a better price in Mexico. Park you car in the lot and walk across the bridge to get a good price on implants or dentures. Want an abortion drug because Texas has done everything possible to prevent you from getting an abortion. Park you car, walk across the the bridge to get the no prescription necessary abortion drug. As long as border patrol doesn't see it and confiscate based upon not having a script your home free.
5
@gracec1665 It's interesting that you pick stress levels because such levels are hard to quantify. People in Haiti and elsewhere in the neocolonial world are dying of treatable diseases not high stress levels. Now that around 38 million have the Obamacare "No healthcare layoff plan." do you predict a rise in life expectancy with the lower stress levels of a $600 week UI check?
5
@Team Ai Sure and I'm free to work for the low wages any boss pays in the US. Other companies outside of the US have the free choice of selling in the US market of 328 million or the Cuban market of 11 million. If was such a failure the US wouldn't have needed to pass the Cuban democracy act. if what you say is true why keep up an ineffective blockade and take all political heat at the UN? The US capitalist can't forgive them for making a revolution throwing them and the mafia out of Cuba and proceeding from there. Cuba troops defeated the US ally Apartheid South Africa at Cuito Cunavale, Radio Free Dixie by Robert F. Williams was broadcast to US listeners from Cuba, Cuban Doctors halted Ebola, Cuba is training 10,000 foreign doctors at no direct cost to the student. Cuba sent medical and military aid to Vietnam in its struggle to throw out the US Imperialists. Cuba takes in Haitian boat people. Assita Shaker escaped the racist US justice system to Cuba and they will never give her back to the American Imperialist. In Cuba the fight for principles and a real freedom in the US they fight bigger tax cuts for the rich and an a American Dream where everyone can be a billionaire and US President. US Life expectancy is beginning to drop below that in Cuba. A US healthcare system already in crisis is becoming even worse since the pandemic. Tens of millions have lost their jobs and their meager heath insurances promises. The US State Department Propaganda from Mike Pompano and Trump is now winding up to blame China for everything to do with the pandemic and accusing Cuba of training Doctors as slave labor. This from a rich country which feeds Alabama prisoners two meals a day and uses them as free labor. A country of constant scandal where black people are murdered by the police. A country of empty hotel rooms and people living our doors under tarps.
4
@Team Ai The auto bosses pulled out of Michigan and reduced jobs with robots. The same with other industries. The bosses know the value of cheap labor which is why they sent so many jobs to Mexico and China. Neither of those countries have majority caucasian populations. The bosses also fear Chinese engineering. That's the true source of the decline of the industrial cities not people with a different skin color. It was meetings at the highest levels of American Capitalism who decided cheap labor in Mexico and China would increase their accounting ledger profits.
4
Ludd Zarko Got any names of "Dissidents" Like say El Sexto. He left for Miami and last I herd he was in the Miami lockup with no bail for stalking and making death threats. He however was one your great dissident activists with a medal from the Norwegian parliament. He also has an immigration detainer set for deportation back to Cuba maybe the Norwegians will save his rotten skin. If Trump wants dissidents in Cuban jails all he needs to do is ask by name and they will be on the next flight to Miami.
4
Ludd Zarko You should rename the Cuban American Foundation to the Cuban American Statehood Foundation.
4
@lazaroa7288 Like I said earlier you a bull shit artist since you can't come up with a single name of anyone unjustly executed. Research? What happened to that Cuban "Quilt of Genocide" have you been using it in bed with Bob Menendez on cold Jersey winters?
4
Ludd Zarko Can you provide not the number but just the name of a single person unjustly executed in Cuba since the 1959 revolution?
3
There homeless because capitalism produce a reserve army of the unemployed.
3
@FCBanes I don't care if you like it or not. Nor am I interested in the usual everyone has a gun pointed at their back theories. All that is just self serving bullshit.
3
@FCBanes They're still smarter than you because they understand the US isn't going to give them anything for groveling on their bellies.
3
@FCBanes No people like you grovel before the US government and vote Demopublican. Just like every gusano at the end of the day you're condemning the Cuba people for not rushing over for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow like yourself.
3
@t.s.c-guitar7058 Socialist Workers Party v. Attorney General forced out a lot of the secret police activity into the daylight. It resulted in a permanent injunction ending the FBI's open ended investigation of the Party for the time being.
3
@Team Ai Their is nothing hidden by communists politics. On occasion tactics are hidden just as the bourgeois hides their military and police moves. The Cuban workers and peasant farmers made a successful revolution that is why the USA can not forgive them. That's why they have been labeled with all kinds of names like terrorists. the enemy, a dictatorship, a violator of human rights, violator of the Diplomatic Conventions and so on. The great majority do not want a return to the status of a US colony run by the American Ambassador. Those who are looking to "...I know how you want to get ahead..." like Hillary Clinton supporters make their way to the US were no longer are they granted automatic green cards. They now must take the same chances as any other immigrant to the US "maybe legal or maybe not."
3
@Team Ai It's well known since the days of Lenin that he decried death to "Great Russian Chauvinism". We will gladly confess to aiding the struggle against segregation and racial discrimination. We could care less as to how many glass ceilings are broken or Black policeman you hire. You still represent a tiny minority of the super rich and tear gas smells the same dispute the race of the policeman. Why would we need a bunch of professional SJW's as our leaders? We will produce our own leaders as the class struggle unfolds. It's the Ford Foundation, the Alfred P Sloan Foundation and all the other foundations used to help maintain capitalism who need them not us. We want a university that upholds free speech not one which produces just so many fools for the capitalists foundations.
3
Ludd Zarko Okay so you don't want to be the 51st State. How about making Little Havana the capital of Cuba with full sovereignty. Trump could give you the rights of an Native American tribe. An independent little Havana could open casinos at will. The dollars would be rolling in. Trump could then campaign for his true Cuban government like Juan Guido of Venezuela elected by US puppets like the UK, Brazil, The EU countries and Canada at the UN. You could call yourself North Cuba.
3
Ludd Zarko Sitting around in Little Havana drinking Cuba Libres until closing time is the main political occupation. You are waiting for a US Invasion that will never come. You have nothing to offer. Lots of meaningless rhetoric that no one but the followers of conspiracy theories like Alex Jones believe. If Fidel said the sun rises in the East you'd say it rises in the West. I assume the reason for calling Fidel bibel is meant to connect him with the Democrats like Biden or maybe its got some meaning connected with the bible. The invasion is on hold by ever President since Kennedy (D) because the Joint Chiefs and the CIA estimate a long war and 50,000 American dead. Washington insiders may actually be smart enough not to enter another Vietnam or Iraq over for ideological reasons. As far as all you Cuban contras are concerned only a Cuba under a capitalist policeman's knee is acceptable.
3
@beckyroque8950 In the US right up to at least into the 1970's you had to sign an oath swearing you weren't a member of the Communist Party or any subversive organization as determined by the Attorney General of the United States if you wanted a student National Defense Education Loan. We forced back the unconstitutional acts of the US government with the ground breaking lawsuit Socialist Workers Party v. Attorney General. We forced open the files of the American Gestapo the Federal Bureau of Investigation obtaining a 1/4 million Dollars in damages, a contempt citation by a federal judge for the US Attorney General and a permanent injunction ending the unconstitutional ongoing investigation. .
3
@dredre8103 ."..White people hate him..." Not true the Algarains were clearly caucasian. Cuba and Algeria were very close at one time. Even Malcolm X changed his thinking about caucasians after his trip to Mecca and his meeting with white revolutionaries in Algeria. The only thing you do by making that kind of statement is to give the supports of capitalism a wedge to drive between people of different colors.
3
Ludd Zarko There is no significant opposition in Cuba. If you don't want the criminals in Cuban prisons than don't ask for the "dissident" criminals in prisons like Jimmy "Human Rights" Carter. If you like American capitalist government so much why not campaign to become the 51st State than you can be like Texas getting US Statehood by treaty? Trump can go down to Little Havana and sign the treaty with Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and Jose Basulto making Cuba the 51st state.
3
He just continued Stalin's counterrevolution to its conclusion with the final betrayal.
3
@colinyoung3685 Hosea 13:16 Samaria will bear her guilt because she has rebelled against her God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to pieces, and their pregnant women ripped open. That's straight from the Christian bible your true guide to moral leadership.
3
@pankaja7974 Have you seen the pictures of Korean war refugees hit by American bombers napalm or the skin of those who survived the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Let me ask you this when will those politicians who promise a right to life for a fetus give it to the 18 year olds who are expected to fight the next Imperialist war?
3
@Ashleycorrie8494 He's out for himself and protecting his billion dollar investments.
3
Ludd Zarko Still waiting for the name of that single person unjustly executed after 1959.
3
Ludd Zarko Owen Delgado Temprana along with 20 adults broke into the Ecuadorian Embassy taking the ambassador and other diplomats hostage with firearms demanding asylum is a serious crime.
3
Ludd Zarko Multiple American media accounts not well known for telling the truth about anything concern Cuba say it was an ARMED takeover. I would not doubt in the least that this plot was hatched in the den of spies at the US Interests section. Sure assault the guards take it over hold the Ambassador and others Hostage. Then give up your arms and play the role of a nonviolent Martin Luther King simply wanting asylum. The committed their first crime when broke past the Embassy guards. Maybe we should call it expedited extradition of criminals. https://www.upi.com/Archives/1981/02/21/Cubans-raid-Ecuador-Embassy-arrest-dissidents/2662351579600/
3
The Russian Revolution died in the murder cells of Lubyanka prison during Joe Stalin's reign of terror and consolidation of corrupt bureaucratic power. The only thing that Gorbachev and Yeltsin did was complete the final betrayal.
3
Ludd Zarko How about you provide the name of not one thousand, not one hundred, not ten but just one person unjustly executed in Cuba since 1959?
