Plus creating more more welfare moms and kids will only further strain the safety net and add to welfare costs. In one form or another this continued right up to the 1960's as the Braceros program. The program ended when Congress and the President couldn't agree and many farmers feared that without Mexican's their crops would rot on the ground.   6. Anyone who thinks the same people who closed plants for cheaper labor elsewhere are now going to bring back jobs and prosperity are either sadly deluded or out right liars. The price of Chinese labor is rising because of strikes and protests. They and not some politician or capitalist are our real allies along with other workers regardless of nationality or immigration status. Trump wants to build a wall and Nancy Pelosi wants a 'smart' electronic wall. That has nothing to do with jobs. It is just a process of building a state more responsive to the needs of the capitalists with their show us ID where ever you go. The Trump administration is already adding more temporary visas to replace those not coming across 'illegally'.

You can find pictures of him and FDR sitting next to Stalin during WW2. Hitler only wanted what Churchill had an Empire. Instead the US ended up with the Imperialist Empire after WW2.

Cuba doesn't promise free stuff instead the revolution can delver free education and medical care because the working people are in power and unlike with capitalism where healthcare and education for the working people are overhead expenses that need to be minimized to maximize profits. Healthcare and education for all are recognized as the first need in building a socialist society. The profit drive means skilled labor is replaced with machines and unskilled labor and as the capital value of firms rises the labor needed declines mean these two tendencies work to lower the rate of profit for which the capitalist have no solution but to keep demanding a free lunch for investors who own too big to fail companies.

  50.  @carlosramos5256  I read about it in one of the books about the revolution.The earlier student plot (Revolutionary Directorate) to assassinate Batista failed and they were killed. Once Batista's armored train was derailed and the soldiers refused to fight Batista "got out of dodge" as we say in the US. Fidel then began the caravan of freedom to Havana.
