@ummin3872 He was so sure of victory in that election that he burglarized his loyal opposition the Democrats.

@orangefield2308 This is how the capitalist have tried to solve their crisis of overproduction which causes depression. By deflating the value of the dollar you can issue continuous wage cuts without looking greedy. Workers fighting to keep up with inflation are accused of causing it. Machines replacing labor done to increase the profit margin that end up cutting the profit rate now appear to keep thing going. The capitalist have once again fooled themselves into thinking the are getting even richer until an even bigger crisis hits like 2008. Book value becomes red ink. Capital can not produce anything for the simple reason that machines can only save future labor time.

@carlos_herrera US Imperialist attack Cuba. US Imperialist say Monroe Doctrine makes Latin America property of US Imperialist. US Imperialist invade every Latin American country during 20 the Century at least once. US invade to protect bigger profits for US banks and US big companies investing in foreign counties. US Marines fight for bosses profits.
2
"The way to crush the bourgeoisie is to grind them between the millstones of taxation and inflation." Nice try but no evidence exists for that quote. "The goal of socialism is communism." In the historical sense yes but the Social Democrats (or Democratic Socialists) who vote for Imperialist war credits like Sanders were denounced as "..traitors to the working class." by Lenin Communism is a movement not a new doctrine with its holy priest. Its starts with facts. It is the modern class struggle going on before our eyes and one classes history of both victories and defeats. Inflation is created by the central bank as a means to cut wages by allowing bosses to raise prices while holding down wages.
2
@ILaunchNukes Che went to Africa to fight Imperialism in the Congo with an all Black group of Cuban revolutionaries. Segregation ended in Cuba with the revolution. Nelson Mandela went to Cuba first on his first trip after being freed from prison out of South Africa to thank Fidel and the Cuban people for all they did to help Africa free itself from colonialism. Cuban Troops defeated US Ronald Reagan supported South African and UNITA at Cuito Cunavale. Havana broadcast Radio Free Dixie heard from New York to LA by Black rights fighter Robert F. Williams. Actions speak louder than a few lies spoken by supporters of US Imperialism.
2
Off the gold standard and on to the paper standard. Cutting wages by inflation.
2
@darthvader5300 The human rights violator in Cuba is the US Gov't at Guantanamo Bay. They have prisoners who have never had a trial that the torture and hold fo life sentences. The Cuban people have demanded that the US Imperialist return the territory stolen by military force from Cuba at Guantanamo Bay.

@hennagaijin7856 All you prove is that your good at playing the capitalist casino game. I work hard I buy a lottery ticket i become millionaire see capitalism works. Did you drive your car on turnpikes only or did you drive it on government built highways?
2
@hennagaijin7856 Das Kapital is Marx's effort to explain exactly how capitalism works from what money is to things like the declining rate of return on investment as capital replaces labor in production. To really understand economics you need to understand that its a whole system in motion and different players have different interests. That some one running a small contracting business is just a small player in the realm of what is going on. Any Rand never gets beyond her love for the industrialist. She put him up on a pedestal as a modern god. Same with John Galt an engineer who leads a bosses strike. You realize Ayn Rand received her university education and advanced study in Bolshevik Russia as women were not allowed in the University before the Oct Revolution. Communism is a movement not a new doctrine with its holy priests. Its the history of one classes the proletariat victories and defeats with the.other most important class in the modern world the capitalist class. Since 1917 we've held state power at least somewhere in the world even if not under the best leadership or the most favorable conditions. As you can see the end of the Soviet Union did not create a stable Imperialist world. The working class is bigger as a percentage of the worlds population than at any time in past history and none of the advanced capitalist countries are under the boot of fascism. Both the Social Democrats and the Stalinists labor aristocracy are weaker also. The world's production levels have still not returned to those of 2008.

@thundertazzy4127 Twenty thousands died to get rid of Batista all the weapons used in the revolution came from the US. Including the tank Fidel rode into Havana on in the caravan of freedom. Are you going to make the US Imperialist pay for all the death they caused by the US armed dictator General Batista or do you just care about the armed criminals and the US collaborators? Go read the declassified State dept documents. 499. Memorandum From the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Inter-American Affairs (Mallory) to the Assistant Secretary of State for Inter-American Affairs (Rubottom)1 Washington, April 6, 1960. SUBJECT The Decline and Fall of Castro Salient considerations respecting the life of the present Government of Cuba are: 1. The majority of Cubans support Castro (the lowest estimate I have seen is 50 percent). 2. There is no effective political opposition. 3. Fidel Castro and other members of the Cuban Government espouse or condone communist influence. 4. Communist influence is pervading the Government and the body politic at an amazingly fast rate. 5. Militant opposition to Castro from without Cuba would only serve his and the communist cause. 6. The only foreseeable means of alienating internal support is through disenchantment and disaffection based on economic dissatisfaction and hardship. If the above are accepted or cannot be successfully countered, it follows that every possible means should be undertaken promptly to weaken the economic life of Cuba. If such a policy is adopted, it should be the result of a positive decision which would call forth a line of action which, while as adroit and inconspicuous as possible, makes the greatest inroads in denying money and supplies to Cuba, to decrease monetary and real wages, to bring about hunger, desperation and overthrow of government.

@007kingifrit American Imperialism is a failed capitalist system. A ruling class that can not house, feed and cloth its slaves deserves to die.
2
@007kingifrit Capitalism created the new kind of slave the man works like a dog for the boss who owns the means of production. The workers create everything and the capitalist claim ownership of everything. He profits from the unpaid labor of the workers and the uses to profits to further exploit the workers and widen the gap between the rich and poor. The bosses system of profits must always go into decline as he must use machines to replace labor to drive profits his way but this results in less labor to exploit but more capital value inevitable causing the rate of profit by which he measures all his successes to go into decline. So even if capitalism didn't have the problem of the workers being unable to buy back all we can produce and the collapsing of ficticios capital value it would still come to an end as profits inevitably go to zero. It's built right into the profits systems accounting system itself.
2
@aakkoin Hitler was never elected to any post including dog catcher. He was backed by German Big Business like I. G. Farben and Krupp steel. He organized big business for war to retake Germany's position before the Treaty of Versailles. He had an organized goon squad in uniform which he used for strikebreaking and to break up political and union meetings. He was handed power as Chancellor of Germany by President General Hindenburg.
2
@andresrodriguez252 That is nothing but a bold face lie. The US CIA agent who was at the scene attributes the decision to murder him to the highest levels of the Bolivian government at the time General Barrientos a brutal dictator who murdered striking miners who could not act without US CIA approval.
2
@beldiman5870 Hatred of the CEO by the workers is not the same as CEO's hatred of his workers.
2
And all those executed were guilty of serous crimes as charged.
2
You have 11 hours a day to pray outside of public school.
2
@Lucas Lombardo If he was the murderous pysco claimed why didn't they put him on trial like the NAZI's instead of having him murdered in a make shift school house prison by a drunken Bolivian Army Sargent?
2
@SaltyMinorcan Hows that free world working out for you?
2
And soon you will be locked up for murder or assault if you go to far.

No socialists understand how capitalism works and what leads it to the contradiction of destruction of capital in war. The main things capitalist design around is maximising profit as measured by profit divided by investment capital pre quarter year.
1
John Grit Posting more idiocy. Your big grip is about paying social security tax and medicare tax. Reagan was the 20 mule team Boraxo president with an endorsement from the Alzheimer association.
1
Meaningful work should not be a privilege that is doled out with eye droppers with continual efforts to discipline the working class. Seventy hour weeks and forced overtime should be replaced with forty hour weeks with no cut in pay. We should be able to spend time with our families instead of living on the job.
1
John Grit No the best way to make money in a "free" market is to do what ever makes a profit. Take the example of Pharma Bro. He raised the price of necessary medicine because he claimed a free market right to do it. Holding medicine just out of reach so you can get the highest price is another example of how capitalist greed affects society. The supreme court signed off on Social Security and Medicare. No one put a gun to their heads.
1
John Grit Your two parties are only for democracy among themselves. Government taxes are voluntary for big corporations many of whom also receive government subsidies. You don't need to please customers when your the only game in town. The utility companies are the clearest examples of that. Capitalism always moves towards monopoly in any new market. The insurance companies took you on as a bad risk if you didn't pay a million dollars in premiums. Lets say you only paid one hundred thousand dollars in premiums than some one else paid in the nine hundred thousand extra. You don't get something for nothing as you imply.
1
John Grit I don't tell the tax man to rob my neighbors. I'm smart enough not to give them any credibility by voting for them like you do. FDR could legally add seats to the court if Congress rewrote the Judiciary act. Its been done before by Lincoln. So it wasn't a gun to the head threat. You have to keep calling FDR the Democrat a Socialist as a way to smear people like me. FDR had his lackey at the Justice department charged 18 members of the Socialist Workers Party with sedition under the Smith 'gag' Act as a way to stop us from opposing the Imperailist war drive. We of course ignored that and turned the trial testimony into a pamphlet called "Socialism on Trial".
1
I don't know what kind of store you operated and I don't really care. Anyone who has to go shopping because they don't live in a tropical jungle eating low hanging fruit knows that the number of choices for shopping has gone down. Its the natural workings of capitalism that produce recession and drive small business out of business not those receiving a Social Security check. It easy for those who dream of being another Amazon or WalMart who then go along with the ruling classes policy because they fear an even worse crisis which could wipe out all their savings not saved in a mattress.
1
You cry about taxes and the tax man putting a gun to your head on one day and the next your writing books extolling cop and military violence. DA!!!
1
John Grit The only one making a fool of themselves is you!!!
1
John Grit Capitalist hide behind all these capitalist front organizations like GE and GM. I bough a battery at Sears a few weeks ago so no they didn't go under. Some libertarian CEO nutcase came close to driving it under though. Luckily it was to big to fail. When you get rid of the private property system you no longer need to have taxes. Their has to be taxes with capitalism because not all necessary activities can turn a profit from investment. Plus the working people want their children educated not child labor being used to pick slate out of coal.
1
John Grit We should get rid of all taxes but the income tax. The capitalist would rather have all these other taxes because a graduated income tax makes them pay more. They want to get rid of the Social Security and Medicare Tax because they see that as an excuse to end the social security and medicare programs meaning that could be money in their pockets.
1
John Grit Don't you want to write a letter to the Florida DOC protesting censorship? What is it that corner boys, bank robbers and Hitler said?
1
John Grit There are basically three kind of taxes property tax, sales tax and income tax. If you can't pay property tax you can't rent or own a home. Sales tax does not cover capital gains and only hits buyers. Theoretically Henry Ford could run his vertical monopoly without ever having to pay a sales tax. Income tax hits those with income this hits anyone with income and capital gains. So the rich favor reducing income tax and the poor want relief from property tax. The federal government collects mostly income taxes and sales taxes on motor fuel and sin taxes on tobacco an alcohol. That's the reason for such a big noise on income taxes and almost none about property taxes. Medicare tax and Social Security tax fund the needs of the disabled and elderly workers so naturally the capitalist do like them because that could be money in their pockets.
1
"Socialism creates nothing. Its promotes mediocrity and laziness (look at the current crop of Bernie Sanders supporters for reference)" If that was true than the Stalin's Soviet Union would have not created such fear in the US ruling class requiring a cold war. The Soviet Union was the first to put up an artificial satellite and a man in orbit. Hardly the product of laziness and mediocrity.
1
How about I remind you of the deaths caused by world war one and the twenty million Soviet Citizens killed during WW2 and the total of 80 million people killed world wide in WW2. Oh that's right German Fascism wasn't real capitalism. Stalin's purges were directed against his loyal party opposition both Left and Right in defense of the secret privileges taken by him and his 'socialist' bureaucrats.
1
@josephwheeler1 The problem develops that as bosses use machines to replaces labor to drive profit in their way the value of the capital rises but the source of the profits is our labor so what happens is the overall rate of profit keeps declining. So the bosses use to issue wage cuts. But now with a fiat currency they can cut wages with inflation by printing more money.
1
Some markets require huge investments as a barrier to entry. Like Power plants and Health Care insurance. Even then permits and regulation is required to keep out frauds and other wrong social acts that might be taken to increase profits. For those business that require lower barriers to entry. Permits and licenses are required to limit entry and prevent market chaos. Taxicabs and small construction contractors fall into this category.
1
The most Important inventor of the 19th Century was not Thomas Edison but an ex employee Nicola Tesla. Tesla's inventions make modern life possible in the form of creation and distribution of electric power and the induction motor that drives factory production. His death as a penniless immigrant in a hotel room doesn't make American capitalism with the Horacio Alger concept of rags to riches myth look good. In fact were he to arrive today on a H1B visa and quit his job he would be an illegal immigrant subject to deportation.
1
John Grit One of the Greatest scientists of all time Albert Einstein was a socialist. Rudolf Diesel the inventor of the Diesel engine was a Utopian socialist. When capitalism first began you could argue that all the scientist and engineers came from the feudal system so feudalism should be preserved.
1
John Grit FDR and Hitler socialist? Well they are actually very similar in that the prepared their ruling classes respectively for an "American Century" and a "Thousand Year Reich". The question to be decided by war. You in fact show that with the facts that you point out that most liberals leave out as inconvenient facts. The big difference was the class struggle was much sharper in Germany than in the US. Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany having smashed the trade unions on the road to dictatorship and given control of the cops who now wore the SS and SA thug NAZI armbands. FDR was the result of bourgeois democracy with support from the reformist social democrats and a cheering squad of little wanabe stalins. Both Hitler and Roosevelt maintained the underlying structure of private property. Their interference in the free market was justified in the same way Bush had interfered in the free market to save the free market.
1
Einstein was a socialist in the same way many working people are in a general opinion that we need control in how we spend our lives at work and a government that represents us. Einstein was enough of a socialist to generate an FBI file. The reason for "innovating" in the capitalist mode of production is to increase profits by reducing labor time. Those companies or branches of industries that are best at innovating will see profits flowing in their direction. However innovations that create a rise in profits also require some additional investment. Here is where a general problem for capitalism lies. Increased investment may increase the overall profit but it may also lower the rate of return on investment. No capitalist wants a lower return on investment so they begin investing in fictitious capital. Paper values like stocks, bonds and derivatives. By biding up the paper values they set the stage for a collapse in the paper values.
1
John Grit If anyone is headed down the fascist road it is you with your American military nationalism and support of the capitalist police force not Einstein.
1
John Grit FDR Killed Jews by sending refugees back to Hitler. Any progressive role played by the Republicans ended with the Hayes Tilden compromise of 1876. The anti war party in 1917 was the Socialist Party. The anti war Party in 1941 was the Socialist Workers Party. For every war since the anti war Party has always been the Socialist Workers Party. Since the Spanish American war the Republican and Democratic Parties have always been the twin Imperialist war parties.
1
John Grit Certainly the class struggle was sharper in Germany because they were going through all kinds of economic crisis and pre revolutionary battles since the end of WW1. Inflation was such that people carried Reich marks around in wheelbarrows. The German capitalist saw no other way to maintain their power other than through a totalitarian state. Once the enabling act was passed their was no need for the trappings of bourgeois democracy. Hitler ruled by decree not with any kind of consent of the governed through a parliamentary debate or with a Supreme court placing any checks on executive power.
1
John Grit You created your own job. How really creative of you! Does your job also include printing the book? Or manufacturing the paper and cutting down the trees? It would be worth much without others printing it on paper would it now? Maybe you could be another Gutenberg creating a press with movable type and using papyrus for paper. Most things are made in factories using machines and labor with a general level of culture instead of individual craftsmen. Now if you want to really individualistic you'd copy those Japanese soldiers who didn't surrender for about fifty years hiding in the Philippine jungle. You'd move to a jungle and live off of long hanging fruit.
1
John Grit With the advent of monopoly capitalism unions are continually pushed into the state apparatus of capitalism. A fight against gangsterism in the unions and making them independent of the state is possible. Tony Boyle being removed as head of the Coal Miners union came about as a result of the successful battle for Black Lung benefits paid for by the operators and guaranteed by the capitalist government.

The capitalist and his ideological supporters love to talk about Free Trade which along with Private Property are the only freedoms and rights the capitalist needs. Does the capitalist have to forgo consumption in order to for his business to prosper? If he actually starts as a business with just himself and a few workers that may be true but once he gets to a certain point his necessary consumption is no longer a significant part of his profits if his business is expandable. He then begins to use his profits to expand and compete. If anyone is expected to tighten their belts it's his workers because that is where his profits have their origin and is the easiest cost to control. Does the capitalist live to serve his customers? Yet he also works hard to manipulate his customers and to create new needs that allow him to profit with advertising to show his product as best and that you need things like cosmetics and 225 TV channels while you can only watch just one at a time. While the capitalist smiles at his customer at the checkout line he curses them for being finicky, difficult to please and wanting to much. Do the capitalists spend money on innovation? They prefer innovation by basic scientific research development be done at universities and paid for by government funds. While large firms hire armies of engineers to continually develop and reduce costs in production and services they provide.
1
@addiesalt NAZI Germany was capitalist. Hitler's support came form the big German companies. Henry Ford was the only American mentioned favorable in Mein Kanpf. Ford received the NAZI award of the German Eagle from the German ambassador just before war broke out. Joe Kennedy JFK's father told Roosevelt that Hitler was someone you could do business with. One of Hitlers first acts was to expel the German Communist Party Deputies from the Reichstag. The NAZI's had the support of all the Conservative capitalist Parties when the Enabling act was passed. All of the Social Democratic Party Deputies voted no. The passage of the Enabling act allowed Hitler to rule by decree.
1
A libertarian world where property rights were the only guaranteed human rights would be a complete tyranny of property owners to the detriment of all other peoples human rights.
1
Exactly. Getting rid of slavery with the civil was a great step forward despite all the pork barrel corruption of the Lincoln administration and after the war the Union Pacific and Central Pacific railroad building agreements pushed through Congress. Today all the agreements made for tax breaks for companies to locate and sports team subsidies are a forms of legal capitalist corruption.
