  2. I love Bwuans’ attitude, no reason to get angry or act tough. I grew up on the streets myself many years ago in another country, you do what you have to do to eat or get by. I’ve walked/rode around these areas around LA, these are humble respectful people living in a dystopian environment. You can go one way or the other, you make the choice. All those cameras watching piss me off, being profiled from remote brings mistrust of law enforcement. When all I see is a community sticking together to protect themselves, Bwuan is a perfect representation of working through the life sh#t and building you’re own future but not forgetting where you came from. This is real and it’s from the heart, thanks Peter for showing the humanity for some great people living in rough areas.😉🙂

  3. Pete , you just keep the wow factor coming for Vegas/Nevada !😉 These great people keeping it real, those young dudes working towards the future is heart warming. Maturity beyond their age. The brothel I’ll keep my mouth shut about, I grew up on the streets and know what the girls(and guys) deal with. I have a little trouble with the Johns, there are some f’d up people out there and I guess it’s safer to be organized. But Pete, you are so respectful and careful and shine a light on humanity just living. Cheers and be careful brother.😉👍

  6.  @petepenn1  we have some here(islands off BC Canada) that are 20 thousand years old. Some are under water and can only be seen when a extremely low tide happens. Edit- there are others that I grew up around on a small island and there was some that were up in the hills, not to sure who put them there? I’m speculating is was Māori that are part/connected to the Haida.

If you live there I understand your frustration but if your just looking in from the outside seeing negativity that has polluted the situation. These turf wars have been on for centuries around the world, I see the humanity here. And it makes me happy to see the real people and hear the stories, as hard core as it seems, there is always room for redemption!😉

We all just came up in fukd up family lives and ended up there, gotta make money you do sh#t, did a couple of terms for sh#t. Not something to be proud of and I sure don’t talk about it to my kids. So I guess I’m positive on seeing people getting out of that life, but hard to shake that life..even for me today.😁

  11. I had/ have relatives who lived on a island off Vancouver island. I’m in my 60’s and when I was a kid (from a baby) we would live on our plot of land and cabin, no electricity or running water. My grand parents and their brothers and sisters lived there all year round most in there 70 and 80’s. These are hardy people and resourceful, I have all respect for this man. He is a throw back to the way things used to be, his hippy crap is comical, but he has his beliefs. They did back then, but there was a large community and all generations living on our island and still do. I hope he gets more to join him and watch over him, he’s sharp as a tack, but one spill or accident can take them out. My great great aunt fell down on the rocks pulling up her boat and was hospitalized. She was in her 80’s, but family was near and found her. Great episode Peter, maybe this will get some young folk up there to help and go back to simplicity. Grow up as a kid around this was great. Side note there is no climate change, it is a lie and he is a fool to think that. He is believing globalists propaganda, we are better off now then we have ever been.

I grew up on a island and spent most of my summers and my grandparents, their brothers and sister my great aunts who lived there all year long. 70/80 year olds with no electricity, saved rain water or fetching water at the well, maybe 5 vehicles barged over to the island.. you needed a boat to get there. It’s remarkable that the greatest generation old as fuk lived their lives there all year round. They did own the properties they lived on, but everyone knew each other. I was so fortunate to have been around them, I miss talking and fishing with my grandad, chopping wood ,drinking tea and playing cards at night under candle light. It was some of the best times I ever had, us youngsters ran loose and free, and a commune was a rowing away to get some bud..erm..twigs and seeds!😂 This life style was life back in the 30/40’s, raising kids in tent and traveling to get temporary work….they had been through war and economic collapse with nothing…and they spent their golden years living on a island with no power, no nothing..they were ok with that. I love the greatest generation, young ones now should be taught about how life can/was so simple and hard back then. I tear up at their strength, these folks have the same strength and attitude.🙂 God bless them and you Peter for telling their story!😉

  18. I’m 62 and listen and play death metal, don’t be surprised us old coots are still modern thinking. I like having youth folks around me, and all respect to them…I was treated like sh#t when I was young by the baby boomers most of my life. I had more respect from my grandparents (the greatest generation) I respected them, loved them. I’m for bringing young folks into the trades and professions, fortunately I live in a big mix of all ages and ethnicity’s, we are growing fast and there are jobs at every corner!😊 Come to Langford BC Canada, safe , prosperous, and inclusive. It’s a walking city, kids rider bikes, lots of new schools and teens would love to party.. lots houses and apartments being built and places in the forest. I’m not talking out my azz, we need people here!😉

  22. Yeah, I’m only in minutes and do NOT buy drugs from a bathroom if you are a tourist. The law(or fake law) are in cahoots, had it happen to me, walk a block and they will detain you take the drugs(weed for me) and extort money from you. Back to watching.😁

  24.  @tittiger  I worked and lived in Saskatchewan, and once a week the guys and girls would come into Saskatoon. The girls went shopping, all dressed in the same pattern of dress and bonnets and boys also dressed the same. All looking clean and sharp in the Sunday best, I was told the boys went to the strip bar, no idea if they drank. But they had money, and enjoyed a bit of guilty pleasures!😉

I’m not going to give upon the young ones coming up with negativity, I’ve been there 60 + years ago to present and I’m still here, not to sure if it’s propaganda or social media that’s causing you to think this way. But if your talking time left, I understand that. It’s a hard realization to know you maybe gone in less then 10 years.. there is time still left. The wisdom you hold is precious and Jesus saved you, it’s time to return the faith and love to the next generation.😉 All the best.

  29. Been there a few times and spent a month there on a escape bike trip, people who live there are awesome and were hurting from the crash that happened years ago. Property was cheap and I was thinking about moving there, but couldn’t escape Canada when the pandy hit. I love the city and the REAL people. Would move there tomorrow if I could!😉

What a joke, rich realtors lecturing people on being happy with nothing… money is just a concept, whilst they walk through 100 million home “ I came back from Europe and the world travels and asked my rich parent why are we coming back to our mansion in Miami? There’s nothing here…” Then in the next breath talk about people with nothing being happy in Asia…hinting that people here having troubles making ends meet should put a happy face on when the cost of everything has doubled and will never ever own a home even with two incomes. 50 to 100 million dollar homes in gated communities with property taxes as much as a middle incomes yearly wage. I thought Cali was bad with 5 to 10 million dollar properties but this is beyond opulent, and I bet the realtor/boutique contractor pull in seven-figure a year. Look I don’t hate on the extremely rich or the agents getting rich off them I just don’t want to hear some BS hipster go on about Buddhist minimalistic garbage to virtue signal to the plebs.

Just get some chickens and maybe a few goats and dogs for manure …to put nutrients back in the soil.. you don’t have to eat them but you get a good compost… sell the eggs from the chickens. And shouldn’t we be giving the 100’s of billions that go to wars (that we should have no involvement in) be going to rebuild this community?!🤨 Where the fuk is the navy to ship in big excavators, Backhoes, dump trucks, barges, temporary mobile homes … if you can blow 100’s of billions on over sea wars and let in millions of illegals and pay for them using billions and trillions in printed money to pay for it all… why cannot you pay for your own citizens who have had a tragedy, maybe that should be a presidential platform to run for the next election..something we can see and get behind , helping our own citizens.   47.  @hikesteepfishhigh  that’s the incredible part of this story, Polynesian/Māori have been traveling across the ocean Cook Islands, Hawaii, (west coast of Canada were I live, and Haida Gwaii) Rapa Nui connected to South America and Mayan culture…and Aztec on land going south, I also think this is connected to trading and migration.

  49. Lost a lot of friends to fentanyl in the last few years and they were not homeless and on the streets. Weekend warriors have been poisoned not knowing fentanyl was laced in their product. Great episode as always Peter, seeing and hearing from the cops and the people they have arrested brings this epidemic back to a human level. Like it was said, someone having their worst day and need help, thank god someone cares and can get them the help if they want it. After that it’s rock bottom, and a revolving door of arrests…or death.😔

  50. Hippy has a bad connotation in modern vernacular…negative. This is what true hippies where, self sufficient, non judgmental, resourceful..down to earth. Some of the best people I’ve ever met, I’m on an island that had/has communes from the 60’s. Most draft dodgers living in the forest. I have the most respect for these two, it’s what my grandparents taught me, everything has a purpose and a recycle when you’re living off the land. 🙂 Harvesting off the ocean/land and the sweat of your brow is how generations before we existed. Great episode Peter, no idea how you do it but thank you!😊 A shoutout to that couple on the island from Vancouver island, as my grandpa said we live on gods islands!😘
