A-train takes about 30 minutes to get to DIA from Union Station for only $6?... trains every 15 minutes too?... 20 hours per day operation?... no brainer!
106
Ask an average American city to do this... "that money could be put towards something relevant"
83
@AfrikanTribesman Just like History Channel. It became a reality TV network about various nonsense
42
Having no worker unions at the time would help ya
32
@abdulazizhashim2945 Give a contradicting reply... doesn't elaborate... walks away 😅
20
@PROVOCATEURSK Can't save everyone from depression nor oppression. Some put themselves in those situations, and many prefer not to seek help & assistance
16
@Nudnik1 Yeah, let me create a steel & concrete road and plow through disenfranchised communities then call it 'a new wave of the future' and proclaim myself as a genius 🤤
13
"Well, SURELY, we wouldn't have a building be demolished because of our calculations proving wrong. That would mean we were wrong..." 🥴
12
A lot of progress is being made quickly in the planning stages, but... like many things here in Maryland, I'll believe it once it's finished.
12
Seems far fetch now since the A-train now links to/from Denver & DIA in only 30 minutes and every 15 minutes
11
A feat of engineering on this magnitude is only the tip of the iceberg for how much of a challenge maintaining it would be. Kudos to Turkey for fulfilling an obligation.
11
@Tim--- Especially overnight. I drive alongside or past hazmats routinely through the Harbor Tunnel (895)
10
At least they're putting their oil money to good use like rail infrastructure to link each Arab nation, unlike *cough* AMERICA!
9
Just keep it with ONE World Trade Center. No need to build a bunch more towers on such a mournful site. Keep it the "ONE"
8
Both O'Hare and the smaller domestic Midway airport have metro lines running directly into downtown Chicago. That's one priority cleared by both for 50 years now.

@tylerdurden4006 Provide a link and stop liking your own comment ✋🏾

Problem is... Its too good to be true. Nothing is ever too good in New York
5
@FHDOnTheStreet By that logic: Have war > profit > go into debt = repeat
5
@donquique1 Houston is on a marshy swamp just like Corpus Christi. The "geniuse" at work
4
Unionization

@jameshanson3759 Detroit has the Q-Line streetcar doing that today but only to the Amtrak station. I think a proposal to extend it to The Fairgrounds or even 8 Mile would triple the ridership it current is struggling to reach -- which could alleviate crowding on the articulated buses along the Line 4
3
@robert7567 Doesn't New York get enough attention as it is? Its the first thing that comes to mind for a foreigner whenever describing America
3
@floopybits8037 Yeah, I think this guy missed a lot of key reasons for the bridge's purpose while he was commenting his statement
3
Even after 21 years, I can't necessarily bring myself to seeing the live coverage w/o my heart racing. I was 8 years old and even then, everyone were at a lost of words
3
@robert7567 I get that but the Freedom Tower should remain as the standalone on that site. Don't ruin it by stacking a bunch of glass over a mournful site
3
@M21655 A genius would leave the site alone and keep it just ONE WTC
3
Need a "ONE Bellend" tower with a grassy base below

Politicians' logic
2
Funny enough, we rarely pay attention to anything outside our borders. Not sure why this statement was made because it seem Europeans want to set a golden standard for us gun-slinging cowboys to abide by.
2
As big as DIA is, the entire population of west coast elites could fit within the land area. Crazy thing is, they can build it as big as they like cos there is nothing but desolate plains surrounding the airport
2
Nah. It'd be too saturated and cluttered like Manhattan
2
Cutting deals and also the union labor laws aren't as strict. People tend to forget that US labor unions drive up costs to extravagant costs
2
Have flown to Denver twice but the first time flying in to DIA in 2014, I swore I saw a black orb floating about two miles out over a horizon in broad daylight. What can I say?...
2
You mean the apocalypse bunker?... The building was designed to house essential supplies and important figures on the west coast in the event of a possible disaster
2
Or a useless highway for BMW to breakdown left & right
2
Yeah, that decision still baffles me. How is that helping out the Lex Avenue subway when a lot of ped traffic is stemming from Bronx... NY is weird & lacking man
2
Connections. Denver carries a lot of air traffic as well as military. Also, keep in mind, DIA is in the middle of nowhere in flat plains so building runways pointing in every direction was easier to accommodate various flight patterns in a straight line without congesting the airspace with irregular turn patterns
2
@saramia1738 Not really, they may have more interchangeable flights but not many are flying there directly.
2
@ajkleipass Honolulu's HART heavy rail line in a nutshell. 17 years to complete a 20 mile passenger line that'll end up costing nearly $10 billion
2
The benefit of roadways in the south & west are the lack of bends. Just straight. Different ballgame hear along the NEC
2
@manu.yt25 Yeah. It's all BS and just a tax write-off. The best reduction of a carbon footprint is NOT building it all
1
Not gonna lie, they could have built a tunnel and it would have had less issues than this 😂
1
Hey, at least you're building something Stuttgart. Try getting the state of Maryland to layout the foundation for railway.
1
This upload is a telltale of what every major city is dealing with regarding housing affordability; availability and opportunities for growth. It's a shame for London cos some Arabian -- not be prejudice -- with oil 💰 can buy 10 of these flats but your native Englishmen (black or white) is kicked to the curb. These privateers only needs to showcase a bunch of money & a "pinky" promise and these municipalities would bend over with their arse wide-open.
1
Denver International Airport could shelter the entire city of Denver itself if Yellowstone ever erupts. The airport's footprint is ridiculous on a basic scale
1
@rawacademy5450 Welp, this explains why Saudis treat Indian & Bangladesh labourers like sh*t
1
@mfaizsyahmi Yup! Also, with a collab with RoadGuyRob 👍🏾
1
Only difference lawnmowers doesn't complain when they have to cut grass
1
Pump more money into it
1
@johnsamuel1999 That's a fundamental mistake then. So, they are basically telling the developer: "Now on this dotted line, you promise?... pretty PRETTY PROMISE not to segregate communities once this project is made available?" 🥺 These councils are a joke. Privateers are in for " private" profitability NOT for the public. Councils spend 40-48 hours sitting on their hands to do what, exactly?
