@dylanwhite3383 It has nothing to do with NATO. The fact that you love to throw trillions in spending to repeatedly fuck with poor brown and asian people has nothing to do with the security of the alliance. The 2% agreement is, politely put, a social welfare program for predominantly US weapons manufacturers. Maybe you should spend a little less on the military and a bit more on public education ?

@christophersalazarbonilla6362 Yeah, he's Russia's bitch

Doesn't change the fact that Ukraine is among the poorest and most corrupt countries in Europe. Even a shithole like Belarus ranks higher in every international study. Thats says it all, really.

The Headline is very confusing. "PEARL HARBOUR" was a surprise attack. By its very definition you can't prepare for it. That's like saying that we should foresee the unforeseeable...
1
You are very wrong on Cuba. From cloak and dagger operations to destabilise the country, to attempting assassinations on Castro to arming Cuban Americans to the blockade that is currently still starving the country (!). America has engaged in every thinkable type of aggression against a neighbour that was allied with their enemy.

It's a good thing that Poland showed commitment and solidarity with Ukraine. Too bad the current government doesn't give a fuck about anyone just slightly unlike them be it culture, religion, sexuality, hell, even gender and opinion at this point... The EU doesn't need more integration, it simply needs economic and political reform. Which coincidentally will be blocked by the likes of Poland.

Some of the worst American presidents have served, and some of the best didn't. What's your point?

You couldn't have chosen a worse video to mis-pronounce "nuclear" in

@googledoxxdmebruh6283 You're right. I'll amend my statement.

Taiwan doesn't need to be able to do anything except hold out. The inevitable maritime blockade on China will devastate their economy and prestige more than any military campaign possibly could.

You'll see that no one has replied to your post. The usual Zionist apologists are always suddenly at a loss for words when they're faced with the history and current policies of their fascist country.
1
Just a personal opinion, but the EU already has plenty of problems with authoritarian fifth columns within, be they pro- or anti-Russian (Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia etc...). Countries like Moldova, Serbia and yes, Ukraine can join when they have a proven record for rule of law and liberal democratic values. I'm tired of former destitute members now being the loudest critics of the EU, despite being the biggest beneficiaries.

It's a bit ironic, however, that zelenskyy is such an ardent supporter of Israel, considering that was Israel is doing to the Palestinians is exactly the same that Russia is trying to do to the Ukrainians. It's hypocrisy at it's best, not just by Zelenskyy, almost every other leader that stands for democracy, human rights and freedom.

I mostly agree, but the reliance on Russian gas was never a problem. The return to coal is. The entire Ukraine conflict could have been solved diplomatically in 2014-2022 if the US wanted to. Either way, the US made sure that Germany is now instead reliant on American LNG instead at triple the rate. Germany is still using gas, they're just hurting their economy while the Americans are counting their profits. We've all been had and Germany is still fully backing the US like a battered housewife. The US has managed to gaslight us into believing that we should hate the Russians, although there is really no reason to, while promoting weapons sales through fear and energy exports at a premium rate after they destroyed NordStream. And they did destroy NordStream. Not the Russians, not Ukraine. I'll make the argument for it if you're interested. PS: I think that Putin is a piece of shit murderer, but he's not an irrational actor.

You can hardly blame migrants for exploiting an opportunity to seek a better life. We don't know how many might be actual refugees fleeing persecution. And since Poland has never helped any of their European brothers during their refugee crises, I'd understand if Poland also deserved NO SYMPATHY.
1
@paulsz6194 That's a bullshit straw man argument and you know it. My little country took in 40.000 Syrian refugees. And I worked as an MD in Greece for 9 months to do my part. How many refugees did Poland take during the height of the refugee crisis when Spain, Italy and Greece were begging the rest of Europe for help while trying to recover from an economic crisis? 0 That's not an emoji gone wrong. That's ZERO. Essentially a giant "fuck you, we don't care" to the entire European community. Did you help in any way, my good man? And how has the Polish government generally acted towards the EU the last few years? I'm just showing you the hypocrisy of Poland. Only seeking the benefits and never sharing the burdens...
1
@paulsz6194 Triggered much? I did practice what I preached. You'd know if you read my comment in its entirety. I am no way arguing against Polish right to sovereignty. I am arguing that since you have no sympathy for migrants, which is a valid, albeit not very humane, opinion, you could argue that Poland, deserves no sympathy based on its lack of support to its European brothers in their time of need, and recently seeking to undermine the very institutions that have only strengthened and enriched Poland. Now answer me this: Out of all the EU countries, which one has the largest amount of expat migrants compared to its population? Hhmmm. Moving to another country only for economic benefit.... Hypocrisy.
1
@paulsz6194 I agree with you completely in that regard. Neighbouring (rich) countries should be the first to receive migrants, especially if they are UN refugees. That's a failing of all our politicians, not applying pressure on these autocratic states. But that's not the situation at hand, unfortunately. It's really several issues that are somewhat intertwined. 1) EU policy and actions with regards to migrants - which will only increase (Afghanistan, Ethiopia) 2) Hybrid warfare from the likes of Putin, Lukasjenko and Erdogan, and how we will all meet this threat. 3) European solidarity. And how Poland has been a bad faith actor since the initial migrant crisis, and more recently, using nationalistic populism to consolidate party political power in clear violation of the EU charter.
1
@redforman2999 I think you need to look up actual statistics, facts and possibly an atlas too. And maybe remember that Poles are the single largest migrant group within the EU and are so "because of economic reasons". Oh, and they collect benefits too in their country of residence. Look it all up, my friend, and then we can have a conversation about the facts (and yes, very real problems) and not something you're pulling out of your ass after what you saw on Facebook...

@aroace7913 The narrative about Russia is extremely biased when you consider they went to war with the single two most expansive empires. One of them whitch went to war so they could continue to sell drugs against the wishes of the country (Opium wars). No one got hurt from nuance and a bit of context, mate.
1
The German economy will be destroyed because of the US' policies: 1) No more cheap energy from Russia - the US made sure of that when they blew up Nordstream 2) Trade- and Cold war with China which is ruining the largest market for German machinery and manufacture. And we all know it's not exactly peachy when the far right is surging and we're on the verge of economic crisis in Germany.
1
@danfriedman2556 Just saw the news. Hundreds of people at Ramadan prayer beaten up in Al Aqsa Mosque and arrested without any prospect of a court trial. I'd love your take on that. Dan Friedman, hell, even your name sounds like something appropriated from another culture...

I'm a European, what is considered a Socialist in the US and I'm not a fan of Biden. However laying the burden of economic woes caused by COVID, Inflation, Gas prices, Ukraine etc on Bidens administration alone is dishonest. He has only been in office 1 1/2 years.... Same thing happened with Obama after the 2008 global financial crisis. Some factors are global and even the US President, even backed by a united US Congress (which will never happen), can't be solved in a year or two. Your report is disingenuous and omitting factually important factors.

Vietnam managed to kick out the French and humiliate the US and China consecutively. Vietnamese defending their homeland will pretty much ruin anyone's day.

Isn't "disputable information" the bread and butter of economics?
1
Well, growth is easy if you're willing to give up on social responsibility & bargaining rights and instead whore yourself out to corporate interests. As long as you get to keep the scraps from the table, eh? I'm sure your children (and ours) will be grateful for the trillions in missing tax payments that have gone poof from our schools, hospitals or even pockets, if you're so inclined. Ireland, Malta, Luxembourg and The Netherlands are hurting us all, but they're happy as long as they're seemingly hurting themselves less than the rest of the EU.
1
Yes, both led by ethno-nationalists that seek to increase their own power at the cost of freedoms for their people. Also both openly racist with their agenda.
1
The Ukrainians were given (but mostly promised) equipment and training for a NATO style maneuver warfare campaign. In short, they tried to conduct a combined arms operation without an air force or enough artillery ie without the combined arms. The poor bastards never stood a chance against entrenched russian positions and superior artillery.
1
@GamerFromJump I am well aware of that. But we're Irish migrants in the 1850's doing worse than blacks? The Italian migration in the 1890. Again, was it worse than being a Native American or Asian? I would argue that Italians, Irish and German descendants are doing better on average than descendants of Africans, Natives or Hispanics. You see? That's why people are marching. Not for special privileges. Just to be seen and heard and have equal opportunity if you work hard. You know, the so-called American Dream?
1
@mottyk8491 If by acknowledging historical injustice, exploitation, cruelty and misinformation I'm playing "The victim card", then you're absolutely correct. I'm a Muslim refugee living in Europe. I'm doing very well now, because I was afforded an education and free healthcare during a severe illness. But it isnt always easy. Being white would have certainly helped. Racism isn't over. Anywhere. We have to remain vigilant towards people that actively try to subvert our rights as citizens. Always.
