AIPAC and other national lobby groups should be disbanded and any person with dual citizenship should not be able to hold any higher federal office or position as a federal employee. Same rules as the intelligence and defense services. Until then, the US will be the dog wagged by its tail in Israel.

Spending time on Trump, TikTok and Kate Middleton. Ace reporting guys. Its not like there's plenty of evidence surfaced about the IDFs actions and lies on October 7th, the scandal about the alleged mass rapes and the actual literal campaign of famine and genocide your guy Biden is supporting and funding. But sure, where is Kate Middleton and I wonder what she's doing...
1
I remember Jon Lovett on a PSA episode proudly declaring himself a Zionist. Even your own guy is a declared ethonationalist when it comes to Israel...

After seeing your sewer systems, public toilets and general level of hygiene, India certainly doesn't need shit from anyone. You're the world champions of swimming in your own turds, my man.

There can be no two states if Israel - the only nation that can actualise it, refuses. Furthermore, does anyone think it realistic that Israel will simply ask 750.000 settlers to leave? Give up their plans for strangling every piece of Palestinian land and ineffect turn them into mini-Gazas? This is empty rhetoric. Lip service. The US is complicit in genocide and THAT should be the discussion. Not whether Bibi has said something or not (he's a fucking liar, FYI)

You're absolutely right. The attack on the US Embassy by Iran also gave the US cases Belli (cause for war). I don't put any faith in anything that comes out of the Israeli government. They've avoided every single burden of proof when it comes to their atrocities and war crimes up until now. I see no reason why any rational actor would consider their words anything beyond self-serving propaganda, much like we treat Iranian statements. But yes, I don't believe Iran has any interest in conflict over Gaza. It's in essence a PR stunt. The sad truth is that Iran and Israel benefit domestically by whipping up fear of their enemy when convenient. I'm no analyst, but I'd love for more media to be honest about the above instead of using hyperbole about "WW3" - which in any case it won't be. Just another war that the US allows themselves to be dragged into as usual...

I agree that it's completely unacceptable. But you really need to calm the f*** down with the puritanical language. This is a "sexual overstepping of boundaries" at best and there should be the appropriate consequences. What it isn't is an "assault", "micro-rape", or "mini violence". You diminish victims of actual sexual assault when you equate minor behavioural infractions (tasteless as they may be) to horrific experiences that takes years to overcome. And let the woman herself speak out. She's not a helpless little thing to be patronized by the collective Karen's of the world that feel the need to insert themselves into any and everything on behalf of others.
1
I'm sorry you feel that way. Yes, I'm male. And am I right in assuming you're a white lady with more privilege than 95% of women in the world? It's an interesting approach to, as we say in football, "go after the player instead of the ball" in this discussion. I have a partner and family who have suffered sexual assault. Not being forced to a gross kiss while getting a medal. Actual sexual assault. Don't diminish that s*** by using charged language that makes it all about you instead. You're an ally. I'm an ally. We get it. But this is a fucking storm in a cup of water when it comes to sexual violence, domestic abuse, trafficking. It's simply not the same.
1
@franjkav And some people don't. Accidentally getting pushed at a concert because people were drunk and a bit excited isn't "violence". See my point? Serious use of language requires serious thought behind it. The man is an idiot and probably a misogynist. If he gets fired, I won't cry a single tear. But he's not "a sexual offender" by any legal, criminal definition.
1
The whole kiss n hug at the world cup is a bit of a storm in a cup... The player spoke out against it. The offender apologized. And they've both agreed that it was probably a misunderstanding given the elevated state of their emotions. Spanish culture is different than Anglo culture (thank god!) when it comes to kisses and touching. There's really nothing more to that story. Let's focus our energy on things that matter.

It'll be another puppet regime beholden to Turkey, Israel and the US. If they even manage to hold it together. There hasn't been a single US intervention that toppled a dictator with a positive outcome for the people. But plenty of US companies were happy, though.
1
@Theodor_Herzl Let me get this straight: A Western Atheist handle, yet claiming Middle Eastern Tribal heritage, is berating everyone about the lack of democracy while the very nation he represents is a racist apartheid, illegal occupier and committing genocide. The West has indeed worked against every single pro-democracy reform in the Middle East, not just for Arabs but in Turkey and Iran as well. Countries beholden to the will of the people cannot be manipulated or bought off like dictators, which is why the US so adamantly has supported authoritarian regimes that are far worse than Iran or Russia. Or did you forget how Saddam Hussein acquired his chemical weapons? How the UAE and Saudi spent 10 years starving Yemeni civilians? How Sisi was fully supported despite being the most brutal leader Egypt has ever had? The only reason the US dislikes Assad is because he's not "their son of a bitch".
1
@Vaeldarg Bullshit. The Palestinian people are occupied and subjugated. Israeli settlements are acts of war. The siege of Gaza is an act of war. The fact that our media has normalised it doesn't change that fact. Your comment is like saying "no one is interested in freedom" and talking about a slave and his malevolent slave master. Yes. The slave master is not interested in freedom because he isn't suffering and is in fact be directly benefiting from it.
1
@Vaeldarg Again. Bullshit. Palestinians are Christian and Muslim. Jews have been living in peace in Palestine and the entire Arab world since the last crusades (ie after the Christians stopped ruling them). The hate and violence started with the inception of Israel. Hell, even Hebrew was a dead academic language until they revived it. It's purely a matter of ethnonationalism.
1
China mediating between Saudi and Iran: The US isn't an honest broker. After years of negotiations the US reneged on the climate protocols and the nuclear proliferation deal. And then there's of course every single deal hammered out between Israel and Palestine, which have been repeatedly broken by Israel with no consequence whatsoever. A deal made with the US is not worth the paper it's written on. It's that simple, really. I don't say this as a proponent of any nation, I find Saudi, Iran and China all to be vile regimes. But the facts remain. Best regards A "real lefty" from Europe
1
Fuck Assad. Hopefully Benjamin Mileikowsky aka Netanyahu will be the next criminal in exile. He sure as hell won't be serving time for his crimes if it's up to Obama, Biden and Harris. Hypocrites.
1
Man, as a socialist (a proper one from Europe), it saddens me to see how both your parties are beholden to the same powers and offer no real alternative to the voter. You desperately need constitutional and electoral reform.
1
It wasn't "Isis" attacking in New Orleans. It was an unhinged lunatic akin to any mass shooting. It's funny how it's terrorism when the sick individual is brown, yet "merely" a shooting by a disturbed individual when it's someone else.
1
If you want to talk about corruption, how about we discuss AIPAC and the sheer influence it has on American politics? I couldn't give a shit about Saudi buying a few football teams, when the US is supporting and funding mass murder.
1
Everyone should be more like the French. They take shit from no one.
1
Don't hold your breath. Israel never allows observers or investigators. Their tweet that was deleted was the smoking gun. Everything else is obfuscation to give the US plausible deniability.
1
They wouldn't say anything if the proof didn't 100% point towards India being the culprit. It's the language of diplomacy. You'd know if your head wasn't so far up Modi's ass. Gtfoh, Bharati bigot.
1
An interesting discussion, but very biased towards Israel and the US, nonetheless. Israel is an occupying nation that actively treats groups of people differently based on ethnicity and deny them basic rights. That's not a democracy. Thats a Jewish ethnocracy.
1
Taiwan is China's Cuba. Everything that applies to the US can and will apply to Taiwan. There's no moral high ground to be had here, sadly.
1
Problematic? Yeah, because of all those teens that follow this show?
1
Nitrous Oxide causes considerable, measurable brain damage in young adult brains. Much more so than alcohol or marihuana.
1
The entire population of Gaza have been under siege for 18 years (an act of war), subject to collective Israeli punishment (a war crime).
1
In Israel it's called "A right to defend yourself" if you illegally occupy territory and deny the local population any basic rights. Russia is just doing the same thing, right? Or is it "Terrorists and WMDs" like in Iraq in 2003? Slava Ukraine. Free Palestine.
1
It's a shit hole.
1
It's quite hilarious to see the same people celebrating the fall of Assad (which they normally should) that are also adamantly supporting Netanyahu's genocidal regime. A genocide fully supported by Israelis, which according to the Israelis themselves makes them all legitimate targets, no?
1
Nothing on the Israeli violence committed against people at prayer during Ramadan? You spend spend a bit more time talking about subjects people should hear about, not whether or not it's a popular subject. Trump eg. is completely trivial, and frankly has nothing to do with global news.
1
It's funny how the talking points, arguments and rationale somehow applies exactly opposite when we're discussing Russia instead of Israel.
1
The UN since its inception has been used to further American interests and conveniently ignore or outright threaten it when it doesn't.
1
You're both normalising and defending the genocide in Palestine, which makes you hacks, not legitimate commentators. Obama was very polite when he droned those kids, and Biden was sooo nice during the murder of 20K+ CHILDREN in Gaza.
1
@goldskygregor What's your point, beside coming of as a bit of a c***? Anything productive to add or just wasting everyone's time, including your own? Instead of being glib, maybe address the fact that there are no realistic alternatives, fair election system or even anyone held to account for their failures or outright crimes. You should be outraged. "Keep calm and carry on" is bollocks, mate.
1
The UNs first major act was morally wrong and decidly illegitimate when the victors of WW2 decided to grant away land that wasn't theirs to create a Zionist colonial entity. The "zionist colonial" nomenclature is Herschls own words in his correspondence with the British government, by the way...
1
They don't have to. French lawyers have already started the process for Bibi and his government. But they'll still roll out the red carpet for him in the US, even if convicted. That's how far up the ass of Israel the average US politician is...
1
You mistreat, oppress and occupy a people for 3 generations theyre not going to simply lie down and die. You treat people like animals, they'll bite.
1
You mean like hospitals, schools or entire families erased when their homes have been bombed? Don't believe the mainstream US or European media.
1
@SecnarfWobneb It's black and white because US geopolitics is played as a zero sum game. They've effectively hobbled the European economy for a generation with Ukraine and the sabotage of Nordstream. Now they're looking to the solutions to wreck China before they overtake the US economically. The US will seemingly burn down anything and anyone to remain the geopolitical top dog. Never mind that the country is a shithole for the economic lower third of their population...
1
Maybe restore the US' reputation by not supporting genocide first? Until then, the US has absolutely no leg to stand on legally and morally on the world stage. You've already shown us that any agreement with the US is worthless.
1
Sure. And I'd counter with: Netanyahu. Not only has he not been diplomatically isolated and punished for his country's crimes, American media can barely bring themselves to say anything negative about this sociopath and his country's malevolent, racist ideology. You're hypocrites for making it out as if Trump would be any different with regards to supporting dictators and facilitating war crimes, if it means weapons sales and US corporate contracts... GTFO, man.
