What nice words Vanessa l feel the same way, but she was a big part of this country and she will be missed by so many. At the back of my mind l thought she would reach a 100 but she did look frail at the beginning of the week when she greeted Boris and Liz. God bless the queen may she rest in peace with her husband Philip.

What a marvellous vlog this week plenty of wildlife and a cruise full of sunshine, and the comforts of on board luxuries even if it was for ur washing. I wish u and ur family a wonderful Christmas and Zephyr too. πππ πΎπ€Άππ°πππ

Thank u both for a amazing vlog l felt for u on the tidal water with the rain pelting down but u did it like pro's , so much for u to take in with wrecks and islands and u even tried to get the wild life in as well as beautiful buildings. But what a difference when on calmer water and with the sun out every thing comes back to life, The daisy looks lovely now on Alice Grace u'ver done a great job much better than the monkey π , Hope u both and Zephyr have a relaxing weekend xxπ take care

What a emotional start with India off to Cambodia and memories of Francesca through her love of rainbows. What a great scenic vlog wit tmes gone by and lovely houses by the lock. Vanessa you must be the bird Whisperer with having the king Fisher so close to you, it was only a few years ago when the Robin fed from your hand. Nice to have you back have a great weekend ππββ¬π¦πππΈπ¨βοΈβοΈ

Good evening Vanessa what a lovely vlog tonight full of everythingπ Mr Mindful has done a great job with ur new roof garden a good space to grow a variety of things, Alice Grace will be full of colour hopefully this summer. What a good idea to refurbish the old narrowboat for homeless veterans every one deserves a place to call home. Take care and see u next week π¦π πΆπ₯¦π₯¬π

Evening Vanessa when l was a young boy many years ago we used to have inkwells on our desks at school, l can remember my dad making me a quill pen out of a Feather so when seeing u do it brought memories backπ. When u filmed the fish swimming the music sounded very Disney and thought how do u find such good music to acompany ur vlogs, now in ur vlogs teacher miss Mindful is opening up our eyes from history to basically every thing to be found along the canals . So thank u for a most enjoyable vlogπππππ₯π‘πͺΆ

What a great review of the the old mill with the history of grinding wheat into flour and their living quarters ππͺ£ is it me but does it seem there are less butterflies π¦ this year maybe it's all the rain we've having. Have a lovely weekend π₯ππΌπͺ²ππΎ

Well what a nice laid back vlog with array of different shots of wild life and colourful flowers, the slow motion shots of the fish nibbling away finished by yet another beautiful poem. To be very honest Vanessa ur vlogs are so well presented l sometimes think how can u improve but u do, a pure delight to watch ππ. I hope u all have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend, and hoping the weather's good for ur list πof jobsπ¦πΎπ

What a eventful week u have had but hopefully all's well nowπ. What a very obedient dog zephyr was whilst she was on the toll path, her constant glare looking at u has u were trying to get close for her. What a spring life vlog this week with flowers and buds appearing and of course the jumping lambs, it makes u realise winter is on its way out ( hopefully ). Ur shot of the Goosander was amazing with the rippled water in the background gave the clip a special effect. Thank u for a enjoyable watching till next week have a lovely weekend π¦π¦π¦πΌπ

How lovely this weeks vlog was how you showed the wild life and tried to capture the insects in slow motion, a good range of beauty to see and your knowledge of the insects and flowers is excellent. My first late mother in law was very keen on wild life and had loads of lady bird books for reference on different species , she like yourself used to keep a diary and draw details of birds insects while they where in there caravan in a farmers field in the 70s 80s. Seeing you complete this weeks diary page brought fond memories back of reading her wild life journals. Thank you Vanessa for a enjoyable vlog π¨πΈπ¦π€πͺ΄π¦ππ¦βπππ

Good evening Vanessa as l started watching the start of ur vlog tonight as usual ur name and Zephyr came up, l thought why don't u add "and the invisible Mr mindfull aswell lol π€£ and then did my eyes deceive me was that Mr M pulling on the rope? Nice to see ur family on board with u π . Another great vlog Alice Grace will look great when u have finished with her. Take care and have a great weekend πΈππ€

Evening all π thank u so much for a excellent vlog full of lovely yellow wag tails and young Robin, what kind walker's they were to help u save the duck from a possible sad ending π¦. I thought it was funny when u were filming the wag tail and a cockerel πcock a doed and it sounded like it was the wag tailπ€£π€£. Nice little stories tonight but sad about the swans how cruel people can be. Looking forward to the return journey, take care and enjoy the nice weather . βππ¨

Good afternoon Vanessa what a interesting vlog with the failings of ur early narrowboat life, there's so much to learn but some times ur thrown into the deep end and impatience gets u trying to please others. I was only thinking last week and wondering if u would grow flowers on the fenders again π₯. As usual lovely shots of the canal side houses how the other half live ahaπ. How lovely the pigs were and those sad eyes looking at u very human like eyesπ. Thanks again πhave a smashing week endπ
4
Another excellent vlog Vanessa its nice to see the modern and past photographs , there's so much history that passes close by the canals. Spring is starting to make a appearance with the buds and wildlife but so much rainπ¦ wet coats and muddy paths , soon it will behind us and glorious weather will be here. Thanks again and hope u have a great weekend ππππ·

What a difference the canopy will made when u are moored up for a while, extra space for coal and wood saving u from going on the roof to top up the bucket and hopefully no more muddy paws and wet feet in the boat. 13 minutes was not too bad but how erecting it back up? What a very interesting vlog Vanessa besides the new canopy amazing nature shots π₯ and lovely autumn shots of the trees ππ. Keep safe and have a great weekend ππ

What a lovely vlog Vanessaπ Each week we are taken on a beautiful journey of canal life through ur eyes seeing amazing things from scenery to wildlife, watching ur vlogs releases us from the worries of life whether it's high fuel prices or the senseless war in Ukraine. Life is short anyway so enjoy the beauty of what life offers . Enjoy ur weekend and keep ur eyes open for more Moses or is it moss's? ππ¦ππΏπͺ΄π±π¦

What a great vlog with outstanding shots of the birds feeding from the feeder, I've never seen a woodpecker so lovely coloured π. U have had a busy week in ur boat garden l love to see a narrow boat with flowers on them, do u grow a few salad plants on ur boat for the summer months? Thanks Vanessa hope u have a safe forth coming week. Simon xxπ

What a beautiful different aspect of canal Cruising very well presented, you have a new follower now π

Evening Vanessa the following day after last weeks vlog l noticed a gorse bush while out with my dog, so l went to investigate the coconut smell u had mentioned but to a sudden reaction l pulled my hand away l hadn't known they were thorny lol π€£π€£. But u were right they do smell niceπ. Congratulations to John for winning last weeks competition π. What l good idea to show and let us hear the birds song most people like me only know the basic ones. Thank u for this weeks vlog l hope u have a safe and enjoyable week to comeπ xxπ
4
Good afternoon Vanessa lovely surprise to see u, great shots of the geese and swans with the cygnets π. What a lovely calm cruise with the water looking like glass, what a different contrast in the views as u float down the river. Over the years more and more wind turbines have appeared in the landscape, taking advantage of the blustery wind blowing across the fens. I hope u have a great week and take careπxxx

Good evening my dearest condolences to u and ur family on the passing of ur uncle Rogerπ, always a sad time when a loved one departs but memories stay with u. Thank u for a very peaceful vlog on the Chesterfield canal it looks lovely from the clips u have shown us, it's amazing how ur garden has come on its so full of colour who needs painted pots and buckets when Alice Grace is in full bloomβπ·πΌπͺ΄π·π¦ππ. All the best to u and Mr Mindful

Thank u Vanessa for a lovely well presented vlog full of great clips, it made me feel home sick even though l only lived there 10 years it brought back happy memories. I'm sorry u were unable to see the woolly mammoth tooth/boneπ. I thought the swan food wouldn't last long when the big family of swans π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’π¦’came lolπ, l really liked the close views of the caterpillars πand moths on the leaves in great detailπ. I hope u have a lovely up coming week cruising, thanks againππ xx

Evening Vanessa what another excellent vlog full of information π, fantastic beautiful shots of the swans with lovely colours radiating from them and the ruffle effect of the mushrooms π. Its nice to see buildings of the past still standing and still blending in2 2days sky line, around where l live they also have made nature parks on the disused mining sites. Have a lovely stay at this location and a enjoyable weekend πΉπ¦€π¦’π¦πΏπ

As the year comes to the near end what a difference the hedgerows become, various shades ofπππ brown taking a rest till spring comes. What a lovely abandoned church and such a large keyποΈ l wouldn't like to keep that in my trouser pocket π. That u Vanessa & crew for another great vlog so filled which wild plants and birds, makes a big difference watching it on the tv πΊrather than my tablet. Thank u for my friday treatπ. I hope u have a great week ππ¦π¦ππ
4
Thank u for a lovely vlog this week π Kinver is such a lovely place with spectacular views its been years since l last visited in my caravan years, l had forgotten about the rock houses its hard to imagine people living in them although there's lot left in Europe. The flowers on the bow look beautiful so nice to see colour on the boat it's a sign springs on the way. I hope u have a lovely weekend and nice walks ππ
4
What a beautiful put together vlog Vanessa so much to digest, king fishers bats and caterpillars and bridges tunnels. Your a delight to watch when u see something amazing great facial expressions of delight, week after week u put something great onto film πππ½πππ¨

Another view of canal life rubbish floating wheelie bin and shopping trolleys, l was amazed to see how run down this canal was l thought that the trolleys in the water was a thing of the past. But then beautiful autumn colours with lovely reflections makes it worth it. Hope you have a great weekend and enjoy the extra hour in bed ππππ¦

What a very relaxing journey on the brown coloured water with those beautiful shots of the sun shining through the trees, how a drop in temperature can change the plants to give them a sugar icing covering look. So much to see and observe when life is at a snails pace wild life pops out to say hello as ur no threat to them, l really envy your life watching the four seasons come and go while floating along.on Alice Grace π. Thank u Vanessa ππ¦π¦’ππΈππͺ΄πͺ΄π βπ¬ l hope u have a lovely weekend andcoming week.

Good morning Vanessa thank u for a lovely vlog especially with the morning sunrise with the frost and the mist, what a nice way to cheer me up after a miserable and depressing week π. I think u have the best of both worlds during lockdown a beautiful narrowboat home and a wonderful back garden with wild life galore to watch. π. I used to live in Cambridgeshire where there was loads of muntjac deer such a beautiful coloured deer, l would offen see them whilst out walking the dogs over the fields. Have a safe coming week and thanks again Simon xxπ

Good evening Vanessa what a lovely vlog it brought back memories of my late 1st mother in law, she worked in Bournville hand decorating the chocolates by hand up until she got married. In those days only single women were allowed to work married ones had to stay at home to be the home maker, if she was a live today she would be in her110 plus year. Bournville was owned by quakers and only recently have they been allowed to sell alcohol. On the Mayday weekend they had a big carnival on the green with morris men and fun and games. When my mother in law was in her late 80s she was treated to a day at cadburys world, when they showed the crowd of on lookers how it was done in the old days , my M. I. L said excuse me dear but u are doing that all wrong and was invited to show them and she still was able to remember to decorate the chocolates with a piping bag. I hope that frozen ice hasn't done to much damage to the bitumen hull. Thanks for a enjoyable vlog take care and have a great family weekend πππ«β©οΈ

What a absolutely brilliant vlog tonight so interesting and full of amazing scenery where countryside meets town, beautiful autumn colours and the wildlife wondering what u were doing invading their Solitude. l was expecting the the heron to say all right in a Brummie accent as it followed u along the tow path, l know they can't talk but it's my funny sense of humour π . But what a shame these canals aren't used as much l saw another YouTube Narrowboater say the same a few months ago, maybe it's because its isolated with the lack of other boats that put people off but u surely did this stretch of canal justice. Have a great weekend and thanks again β€ππ¦π¦πππβοΈπ¦Ίπ

Evening Vanessa hope ur all well? What a great vlog Vanessa full of beautiful shots of the wild life, very David Bellamy with the low shots of the grass and descriptive commentary. What a nice man farmer Jason was to show u his historic artefacts and it was very interesting to watchππ. Thanks again and have a nice weekend and coming week ππ¦ π¦’π¦xx

I was told in my apprenticeship years to always give a blast of gas out of the bottle before you threaded the adaptor on, as to clear any dust and dirt particles to get a leak free seal but also check with soapy water os just spit on thread.

Good evening Vanessa what a great interesting vlog and full of fellow vlogers to greet and help u, beautiful evening scenes as u rowed down the river for the otter spotting cruise but I'm glad u did manage to see one even if it was the next day. After taking a turn for the worst and 5 days in bed l almost 4got it was Friday and nearly missed uπ, I've got the sensitive scalp nerves and bad headaches still but some things don't heal that fast so I've been told. Thanks again to u all and enjoy the good weatherπ£ββοΈπ¦ππΊβοΈπ§π π

What a interesting nature vlog Vanessa most people would just walk by without noticing they were thereπ·πͺ³ππ¦’π¦, did the mushy pea cause any problems with the weed hatch? Alice Grace looks lovely with her aray of flowers and veg on her roof. Just think of the creepy crawlers ear wigs silver fish and wood lice that would made their way into our homes if we had grass roofs, not for me thanks lol. Have a great weekend and stay safeβοΈβοΈπ©

Β @themindfulnarrowboatΒ lolπ at the end of ur vlog this week l did think ah no moss this week, but u proved me wrong π

Hello Vanessa thank u again for a wonderful vlog this week π u did look a bit wind swept at the beginning of ur cruise thankfully u were able to shelter inside the pram cover for most of the cruise. I can't believe how long it's been since u painted the daisy, but the butterfly π¦ will make a nice additional piece of art work on Alice Grace π. U definitely looked the part of a artist with ur glasses and ur assistant Zephyr π l can't wait to see the final result. Have a lovely weekend or shall l say take ur bolly with u at all times π take care.ππͺ³

Β @themindfulnarrowboatΒ I've got 1 πΎbottle left. The last time l drankπ· it in the early 2000's the wine had gone in2 a smooth liqueur wine and was divine, so the last bottle might be like rocketπ fuel now aha its a shame l had to give up drink for health reasons.π

π l thoroughly enjoyed this week's episode with the old and new images, and the classic portrait of the children in their Sunday best having their photograph taken on the boat. Great scenery and wild life how we take things for granted, l saw my first Brood of ducklings swimming passed my window this afternoon such a delight to see and baby lambs bouncing and kicking nature at its best. I'm glad luck was on ur side and u weren't there when the tree blew over. Hope u have a wonderful weekend Vanessa ππͺπͺβοΈπ

Evening Vanessa what a fantastic vlog so much information and history and of course Neil the seal, l had forgotten how lovely and scenic the fens where and also windy. Years ago the Fens were known for there ice skating circuit racing as the area froze really bad in winter, but since the warming of the climate they now race on roller boots on tarmac tracks to keep the tradition going. Sorry I'm doing a history lesson my self. As usual great wild life footage l thank my lucky stars that l wasn't born one of those insects and only lived a few daysπ¦ lol, this world is full of so much beauty and each week u show us a little more. Have a lovely coming week and till next week take care, πxxπ»

Thanks Vanessa for a enjoyable vlog π. What a interesting pocket garden with so much content in it πͺ²ππΈππͺ°to see, a lot of hard work has gone into making it. Alice Grace looks great with the new pram cover on l bet u have noticed the difference with having it? What a brave person u are facing ur fear of the locks l too would fear the locks but I've got gammy knees lol π€£ so climbing the ladders would be my biggest fears I would be like Douglas Bader climbing thoseπ And as usual the poem at the end was the icing on the cake to finish this weeks vlog. Till next week take care and try not to hit Mr M with the rope againπ€ ππ

Evening Vanessa and naughty Zephyr lol if any ones naughty it's my dog Earl, running around the bed like he's possessed and disturbing me while watching ur vlog π . Another 3 moss's well done ππ , great content and lovely wild life shots with a beautiful poem to end with . I bet u found it hard for u both to part with ur belongings to start a new life, and still had to part company with some more once u had moved onto Alice Grace? Have a great weekend and enjoy the forecast of lovely weather till next week take care ππ¦ππ¦

Evening Vanessa what a very enjoyable vlog so much to take in beauty wise, from the lovely mosaic church to the close ups of insects what a pleasure to go with u on ur journeysπ. 2day has been amazing day for me , why u are saying well 2day l put down a deposit on my own narrowboatππ your inspiration has made me decide to have a quiet life on the water and enjoy the beauty tooππ. ππ₯π¦’π¦ππ¦πΌ

What a energetic person you are Vanessa and not forgetting Zephyr walking up the Malvern Hills and then into Worcester, there both lovely places to explore and so much history to be told. This weeks vlog was like a episode of Springwatch with the Peregrine Falcons up the Steeple and the nest cam, u have definitely spoilt us this week ππ¦’π . Have a enjoyable weekend and coming week ππ
3
All the best Vanessa for 2021and thank u for all the great vlogs u have produced this last year.π₯ Simonxxπ

A Happy new year Vanessa and what a excellent vlog to start 2024 off with π, so many memories/high lights of last year how did u dwindle it down with so many to choose from? Let's hope this year brings u the same pleasure and excitement as last year. ππππ¦ π¦

The tunnel to hell and the ghost boat that vanished what a interesting cruise. I never realised that there were so many off chutes from the canal in Birmingham, did u pop to the boat show while u were so close? How nice that u were able to have cheap mooring for a week a height of luxury for u both π. Have a lovely stay and a nice weekend ππ
3
Β @themindfulnarrowboatΒ l can't wait till u cruise the river ouse around the Cambridge area as l once lived in the St Neots area very beautiful π

Evening Vanessa, a nice relaxing vlog but it definitely shows the ups and down of winter cruising, how the water levels can change so quick. I too have noticed how many Robins have appeared on the tow path, and there's me saying morning Mr & Mrs Robin as l walk past them l bet people think I'm mad π. Well what a week the weather has been its thrown a few challenges, but l wouldn't swap boat life it's in my blood now. I hope you have a safe weekend and a warm one .π₯Άπ¬βοΈβοΈβοΈ
