  3. U never fail to amaze us with great sun sets reflecting onto the canal and great shots of elephant caterpillars, the excitement in ur voice says it all. Great footage of the Danny steam boat without the volunteers the history of the waterways would vanish. 🐕🐛🚟⛴️

Good evening Vanessa a little trip down memory lane tonight its been 43 years since l was in Market Harborough, l forgot how nice some of the buildings were so I've just googled old pictures of MH l remember it well £40 speeding fine in a place near Oundle. Yet again a beautiful produced vlog great shots of the kites and hawks, you must have eyes of a hawk to spot that newt among the ground foliage you must be constantly looking for the unknown hiding.   8. What a great vlog Vanessa 😊 I've just managed to catch up as I've been a bit low on battery power, they don't seen to hold there charge for long. Evening Vanessa what a difference cruising on the inner city canals lots more graffiti, from a half submerged shopping trolley and floating soda bottles yet you still manage to capture the wild life in its glory. You are right if ur going to publish ur journals they should be as u have done them, who knows in future years that people might follow in the wash of the mindful narrowboat in their Pursuit of the wonders of the canals as seen by ur eyes.   10. Evening Vanessa what a great vlog again so full of interesting facts, to me a woodlouse is a just a insect l never knew there were so many varieties. Lots of lovely houses and buildings on ur travels this week. What a good idea to start collecting wood for ur fire it will save money, smokeless coal has jumped up in price as well nothing is safe in price I've nearly got all my wood and coal for this winter its a case of planning ahead. I have a big thermo flask which l top up with the kettle water that's left over from drinks by the end of the day there is enough to do the washing up. I cook on my wood stove as well but l find u have to raise the pan up due to too much heat making the food sick to the bottom. Have a great week end and l look forward to next week's vlog 🪓🪵🐛🦠🍁🌾🍂

Good evening Vanessa u were sadly missed last week but now l understand why, I'm so sorry for this great loss in ur life u have mentioned her in a few vlogs when u have been visiting family and friends. May l say what a lovely poem it was this week it was a fine tribute to ur child hood friend Jenny, I'm leaving my normal commenting this week but I'm thinking of u in this sad time. 🙏

  12. What a lovely peaceful vlog Vanessa 😊 its nice to do a comparison between house and boat , boat wins hands down less dusting house work a flick of a duster and its done. One down side is hot water on demand 99.9 of the time its fine, but tonight my dog decides to wander off into a farmers field and roll in cow muck🐂🐄. Um teen buckets of canal water and my shampoo later a less smelly dog, now he's regulated to his own bed tonight 😂😂. Its nice to see what u find on ur walks I've just downloaded a couple apps that recognise plants and mushrooms. Hope u have a great weekend

  14. What amazing vlog with great golden shades of colour giving the view a oil painting look, l know l wish l could look onto such beauty as u do day in day out. Its nice to see the daffs making their way out of the earth for this year's bloom but tell a lie l did see a tree creeper the other day. People have no consideration when driving in puddles when it comes to pedestrians walking their dogs, l hope u didn't get to wet? Thanks Vanessa another work of art. 🐕☔️🎥📸🚽🌊🚘

  15. Evening Vanessa what a few days we had of bad storms, but how well organised and perpared u were but as always something goes wrong. I spent some time back home and even though l thought lwas ready my water pipe froze and broke the shower thermostat causing a gush of water when it was turned on, but that's boat life 😂😂. So nice to see new life pushing up through the ground and buds appearing on the bushes and trees. It's nice when past employees of Wedgewood leave messages of memories of their work years a sign of good employers. I hope u have a lovely weekend.🐕🌳🌧

  17.  @themindfulnarrowboat  Good evening Vanessa I've just been able to catch up with this weeks vlog, as usual its be a enjoyable 20 minutes especially when zephyr decided to pop her head through the side hatch and how u responded feeling Zephyrs eyes👀 looking at u 😂. Lovely cruising in Evesham it looks like a lovely place. I now can see what u have been seeing for years on ur boat and the scenery is amazing best thing l have done is buy my boat. Good evening Vanessa that cold spell reminded me of last weekend 😂, yes it was a beautiful sight of frosty mornings frozen canal and then 4 to 5 inches of snow my first experience of cold weather on my narrowboat . Is it cold on a narrowboat only when u let the fire run down 😂😂, l noticed u had a fan on ur flue pipe and a reflective shield behind it some thing l will have to look into. Great vlog again and poor Zephyrs face when she couldn't go swimming but what a spot of luck that u spotted the goldeneye such a beautiful bird., l have seen so e boats with a garden water butt on their bow deck as a emergency water supply. Thank u ever so much that was great viewing again👍 hope u have a nice weekend 🥶🐕🍁🌨⛄️

Aren't buzzards a beautiful bird, the way they fly through the air gliding on the thermals with their little screech. As usual a lovely well filmed vlog👌😊. This year has flown by quickly and now ur harvesting ur crop, autumn is on its way and l bet the temperature on Alice Grace is dropping and soon the fire will be lit🔥.   20. What a lovely vlog Vanessa 🙂The 2 swans lying still on the ice reminded me of curling stones, waiting for another one to join them. The canal looks so peaceful in its wintery setting but the wild life carries on as usual. Tringford pumping Station was built in 1817 not 1918 has u stated on the screen, when the date came up l knew it was wrong has l live in Telford and its full of Thomas Telford history. When l googled it it told me all about the pumping station and its 3 pumps, so its been a very educational vlog in many ways. When u made those bird cakes l thought they look to good for the birds 😄 Why has a continuous cruiser are u not allowed to have a bird feeder on ur boat, surely when the weather is bad any food is a bonus for them. Well thanks again for a great vlog l truly enjoyed it and my essay proves it 🤣🤣. Have a safe week and a enjoyable one aswell 💜👍xx

  23. 25 minutes of pure bliss a nice relaxing way to spend the evening 😊. I never thought of survival on a narrowboat before but u made it sound sense, breaking down the necessities to live and exist and organise the priorities for a life a float. Mooring in darkness but still leaving room incase another boat needed water was considerate, maybe he also had a moan at the other boat aswell the one u thought had broke down sounds like a right Victor Meldrew " l don't believe it"😅. What a nice bit of filming with Zephyr and her ball so natural Great shots of the wildlife which is so nice to see and those orchids flagged as not to be cut, no chance of that were l am crt cuts are already happening but then u get lovely wild flowers growing on the bank side. I love the hand made decorations and the lights on the boat, will u be attempting to made a wreath from the canal hedge row? Also have u thought of putting some fine elastic in the beanie hat to make it gather In and become a little tighter?   27.  @themindfulnarrowboat  My first wife was very crafty and altered a few things also artistic. I have only ever seen red kites once as where l live is not really there habitat, but they are beautiful birds with a loud screech and l think they look a bit prehistoric.

Morning Vanessa another great vlog explaining ur yearly costs there's a few things l never though of, regarding ur batteries u can Google state of charge for acid and lithium batteries and it shows u what percentage the battery is by the volts and it is colour coded to show u if its damaging it. I did write a review last night and could not have pressed send, so this short vision No2 😂. Have a great weekend and l hope ur parts arrive soon so u can travel again.🐿🍁🍂

As a young boy in the early 60s those furry caterpillars 🐛were every where you looked, and those black and yellowish ones as well but I've not seen any for years too much development 😒. The area around Peterborough is flat and the further u go towards the fens the wind does blow, but it is a beautiful area with loads of wild life. Hello Vanessa I'm not surprised the pounds were full of water we have had lots of heavy down pours heavier than normal, it doesn't help with all the autumn leaves and branches blocking the drains. I thought hey up ur coming up the Shropshire as l saw u turn on to it, the shropy is a lovely canal of pure delight. Any way well done on getting to the boat yard soon Alice Grace will fixed and ur journey continues 😊. As usual a great vlog to watch and of course fried green tomatoes, as l writing ur review l can hear the owls not too far away from my boat hooting 😊 and its only 5pm.   36. Well what a difference it makes watching u on a large tv, it was like l was with u all the way this week lol😂. What a completey different view of the canal when its frozen with the wildlife carrying on searching for food. How lucky u were many months ago when the robin came to u, not so much luck for the gentleman on the bench. Thanks Vanessa for a great insight of what u do in the harsh weather.
