The Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland can do many things that the U.K. can’t because they are still in the EU. huginnn muninn does not appear to twigged the fact we are out or he would not be making the suggestion that private enterprise can do this that & the other because they can’t do those things. Unfortunately the U.K. is now beginning to suffer the results of voting leave. I and many others could see problems with Brexit. The majority disagreed even demonising us by calling Project Fear.

22nd October. Yesterday I watched our Nigel on stage at a Donald Trump rally. Nowhere near Clacton.

Anyone who may feel that part of the reason for the Luxembourg trip taking three days could had something to do with the France Luxembourg border may be interested to know. The border posts were closed decades ago. Luxembourg has good motorways & the fuel at the service stations is much cheaper than in the surrounding counties. The same goes for tobacco & booze. A detour through Luxembourg can save you money.

I am working class I don’t like Trump. His support for Putin is disgraceful.
11
@sammyjohn9353 I am a great grandad. I don’t have a problem with Starmer.

@malthusXIII-fo3ep What freeloading. The Brits left years ago.
7
@huginnmuninn2155 Unfortunately the great British public voted for this. I advised against it but became accused of promoting Project Fear. I feel no sense of satisfaction saying. I told you so. The U.K. electorate have made the bed all we can do is make the best of it. Some think the EU should do their best to help. Why should they ? The U.K. walked out of the relationship even though the EU wanted us to stay.
7
@julianshepherd2038 Thank those who voted for Brexit.
6
Apparently being in the EU did not stop us having the crown on the glass. It was & I understand still is a cost cutting measure. Even if it only costs 0.1p for each crown it equate to £10,000 per million glasses.
6
The U.K. population voted for this in 2016. Really confirming their choice at the last general election. It’s a bit of a cheek to complain.
5
Can his constituents have him recalled.Bit would they do that. After all they voted him in.
5
Do you still have a truly local newspaper. Our ‘local’ paper appears to be syndicated across the whole country with only half a page of what can be classed as local.
4
Donald doesn’t say much about Gaza.
4
@fjkelley4774 Yep. What did happen to NHS waiting lists that we’re supposed to melt away.
4
@johnparish5498 About the only way to become a prefect at our school was to be a bit of a trouble maker. The Head Boy had been knocked for what was then called. Taking & driving away.
3
The British electorate definitely got done. They perhaps should not have laughed at Project Fear.
3
Kim made Trump look weak over nuclear weapons.
3
@geoffpoole483 Our Nigel is bit naughty if that’s the way he rewards an organisation that had been giving him air and screen time.
3
You Brits seem to have forgotten. The electorate were given a democratic option. Cameron advised stay. The electorate ignored him & chose leave.
3
We voted for it. We were warned but people like me were labeled ‘Project Fear.’ Is it too late to be continually complaining. The country gave the Tories an even greater majority at the last General Election. Does all this moaning without any results just highlight just how powerless we little people are.
3
@paulpaisley5291 Do you mean fewer. Rather than less ?
3
Has Braverman taken a leaf out of the Donald Trump playbook ?
3
Isn’t our Nigel spending time in the US onstage with The Donald. Nowhere near Clacton.

If the Gray Inquiry has been left to it’s own devices it could have published it findings. Unfortunately some people pressed for the police to become involved. The police finally did which changes the whole dynamic. Gray can no long publish anything that might affect a future court case. Effectively throttling Gray. With the backlog it could be months before anything comes to court. The people who pressed for police involvement probably meant well. But they are the ones to blame for effectively shutting down Gray.
3
@SJG-nr8uj In that case why on earth is the U.K. moaning the increased small boat traffic. No way can can say you did not know. Your Nigel Farage was even a member of the European Parliament. Making him an expert.
3
Give it six months and Trump can be put out to golf. Leaving JD Vance in charge. Won’t that be fun.
3
She wasn’t allowed to get away with it. The BBC aired what she did. Allowed the world to see just what she is capable of.
3
Why would Elon be bothered about Tesla. He has the USA.
2
I will second that option.

Not been over since the start of the pandemic but. Returning from Calais you could see people getting out of coaches. Before walking through French emigration, followed by U.K. immigration & rejoining the coach. This happened while security checked the coach. Maybe it will be much the same when leaving through Dover. Only difference being your passport will be checked by a machine & not a person. How long would it take if a person needed to check your passport & fingerprint. It may be much quicker to have AI carry out the checks. As others have pointed out we would be stuck with this check system even if we had voted stay. We perhaps aught to be great full that the U.K. Gov are allowing Europe to do the checks before vehicles go to the the holding areas to wait for their ferry to dock. The option is carrying out the the check before being allowed to leave the port at Calais. May I ask. What percentage of people reading this would prefer the check be carried out in Calais ?
2
Yep. I keep coming across that. I just mention it may have been a mistake. That has brought the sharp edge of a few tongues.
2
Lorry parks did exist before Brexit the one at Stop 24 on the M20 has to my knowledge been there for a couple of decades.
2
Not sure I want to be closer to the USA. Not after shops have been emptied of US drink, confectionery, biscuits etc because they contain potentially cancer promoting ingredients.
2
@caterthun4853 I voted stay but found myself up against other who said. I don’t care what it costs I am voting leave to get the U.K. sovereignty back. A democratic election, their side came out on top.
2
@arthurpewtey The US has a presidential election every four years. Unfortunately we don’t get an another in or out of the EU vote until who knows when. I could see trouble ahead and voted stay. But now I have come to the conclusion that it’s no good taking up time moaning. Perhaps we best follow the lead of business & aim to turn a problem into a positive.
2
Anything you or publish could be held to prejudice a police enquiry or subsequent court case. A perps solicitor will likely come up with my client cannot get a fair trial because this that or the other has been published. If the judge or magistrate agrees the case closes. This effectively shuts Gray down to being able to say very little.
2
@stephanguitar9778 Unfortunately the BBC Charter & the fact that he is the leader of a UK political party obligates them to give him air time.
2
Quite David Cameron. It’s a pity the electorate listened to the ERG rather than him.
2
@judewarner1536 Sorry to say some of those books could be out of date. Things move on at a great rate. A scientific book more than ten years old could be inaccurate. Tectonic plates were discovered during my lifetime. A set of encyclopaedia purchased in the 1960s is going to provide facts that have been since been proved incorrect.
2
Putin reached his limit until he changed the rules.
2
@grumpystranger6377 Putin didn’t either when he started. Trump already directs a large proportion of the Supreme Court.
2
@eyes wide shut This is just what I am saying. The majority listened to the European Research Group & voted to leave so we best stop moaning & get on with it. As far as Global Britten goes we no longer have any more than the BBC & perhaps the RAF Red Arrows. We have reduced ourselves to a little island off the coast of mainland Europe. Even MG Cars a long established U.K. brand are built in China.
2
@michaeleccleshare691 I agree with you about voting remain. My wife & I are in our 70s know the benefits that came with the EU as apposed to pre EU. We both voted remain. We know a couple of pensioners who did not vote. Thought they did not need to because. 'No one would be daft enough to vote leave.'
2
The U.K. public voted for Brexit. MP’s respected the public view. That is why we have Brexit. Only ourselves to blame.
2
@OghamTheBold Is it not right that Nissan told the workers in the northeast that the company thought Brexit a bad idea. Did the northeast then go on to vote leave. Brexit is not all down to southerners. London is not in Kent.
2
@The1trueDave At the very least the dinghy crossings will cut the number applying
2
Sorry lorry parks did exist in 2016 the one at Stop 24 is definitely older than that. The same with many secure parks that the general public may not be aware of.
2
@ecaeas4439 I see Cameron as a competent person. Pity the electorate listened to the ERG.
2
@ You could be correct.
2
@dazjackson1972 Not for closing his account. They stand by that.
