Fat chance, with tat TV advert showing a soldier on exercises getting out his prayer mat.

Why is it mad? No sane person is now going to vote for Sunak. Once you hit rock bottom you can't go any lower.
17
Yesterday on TV I watched frightened selfish people who wanted to keep restrictions on OTHERS because they were at risk. These people make me so incredibly angry. They represent well under 1% of the population, but they expect the whole world to revolve around them, and everybody else's life to be ruined just for them. Instead of them expecting millions of others to make sacrifices for them, did it ever occur to them that THEY are the ones that need to make the sacrifices?

@captainbuggernut9565 Not a teacher who couldn't get any other job, are you, by any chance?
17
If the government let the pro-Hamas protests go ahead on Remembrance day I expect some very hard men WILL take action against these anti-Semites!
17
When I hear things like Royal Commentator, Royal Biographer, or Royal Historian, I think this is a really sad person who desperately needs to get a life.
17
Like me, anyone who has every worked for the Home Office will not be in the least surprised by this incredible incompetence.
17
Unfortunately, while the Tories don't have the guts to tackle illegal immigrants, Labour would welcome them with open arms!
17
The fact that two UK cases were found hours before the tightening of restrictions proves two things: 1. This has been deliberately stage managed. 2. To be able to find two cases so quickly means that there are already vastly more cases of this variant in the UK. It hasn't been noticed up to now for one very simple reason. It's no worse than thousands of other variants. The government has been gagging to reintroduce masks. And they would really like to have a Christmas lockdown. This variant is an incredibly feeble and transparent excuse, that only the quivering snowflakes will swallow. It's becoming very clear that if people are to have any hope of ever seeing their freedom again they are going to have to make a stand and not comply with restrictions.
17
Having an HONEST MP like Desmond Swayne as PM would do the job, but we will probably get another self-serving wide boy.
17
The jury should also be put on trial for perverting the course of justice!
17
As would most people. But YouTube will probably soon remove your post and my response.
17
As other comments suggest, John Lewis has lost a lot of business over that obscene and disgusting advert. A great many people found it highly offensive. If they have any sense they will sack whoever approved it.
17
We also need to SEVERELY punish police officers who were responsible for a blind eye being turned to the abuse and rape of young girls in Rochdale, and similar incidents!
17
Return those who wash up on our shore to where they came from, France. If the French won't allow them to be landed then put them back in their boats as close to the French coast as possible, BUT so far south that their only option is to head for France.
17
This Labour Party reminds me of Communist Party officials in the former Soviet Union. While large families couldn't swing a cat in the tiny apartments they were forced to live in, party members were enjoying their spacious dachas on the Black Sea.
17
You know I would really love to live in Hawaii, or maybe Salt Lake City, with all that wonderful hiking and skiing on my doorstep. However, despite being able to support myself, and be no burden whatsoever I'm not allowed to. My point is that lots of us have places we would really like to live, but we can't just go there.
17
My father was a very good landlord, who charged very moderate rents, when he could easily have got a lot more, because he was a Pole who had been thorough hell in the war and didn't want to rip off people less fortunate. Despite this he got a really bad tenant who obtained the room by deception. This was about 50 years ago, and even then it was incredibly difficult to evict the tenant, and you should have seen the vast amount of deliberate damage she left behind: things like "Polish Pig" painted large across a wall. This is why "no-fault" evictions are needed. Most of the time it isn't actually no fault, just a landlord that can't afford the time and money of taking a really bad tenant to court.
17
They are also in the wrong century, by at least 500 years.
17
Reviewing Plan B at the end of this month is going to be FAR TOO LATE for many businesses that depend on the foot fall of people going into work. And for what? A variant that most people don't even notice they have, and that leaves the rest feeling no worse than it they had a MILD cold. What gives Downing Street the right to wantonly destroy the businesses that people have often slaved many years to build up?
17
Caring, loving, parents send their girls to these schools because they want them to be safe with other girls, not exposed to perverts.
17
Maybe it's time for Charles to do a service to the country, by publicly closing his account with Coutts?
16
I don't know what amazes me more: that Blair thinks he has anything worth saying, or that anyone is prepared to listen to him. Why any foreign head of state would waste their time, or that of their officials, giving him an audience is beyond me.
16
Because Muslims are exempt from our laws, so they didn't do anything wrong.
16
The ONLY reason Starmer has done this is because of the immense pressure on him, and frankly it doesn't go far enough. This anti-Semitic MP should be kicked out of the Labour Party!
16
Boris never listened to the real experts right from the start, and he is still NOT "listening to the science".
16
My understanding of the 55 letters is that if those 100 MPs who voted against Plan B had threatened to submit such letters then they could have force Bogus Boris to withdraw Plan B.
16
I hope the firm is told where to shove its jobs, and that it goes bust.
16
We didn't need Brexit to end cheap foreign labour. All we needed was legislation that sets minimum wages in different sectors that is fair and sensible. Expecting a one-size-fits-all minimum wage is stupid beyond credulity. Make companies pay appropriate wages and they will look to employ locally first.
16
Just as in Sweden, immigration is destroying Ireland. A little over 30 years ago I lived there for a few months. There were almost no immigrants, and I have very fond memories of a very safe country where most people were fairly happy. I could cry at what these immigrants have done to Ireland, and my Irish mother, uncle, and aunt must be turning in their graves with sorrow. All over Europe migrants who don't fit in, and don't want to, are destroying their host countries!
16
@williamthomson7820 What about the babies that Hamas beheaded?
16
Most of us don't want Boris replaced by another bent cabinet minister, or ex minister (that's Hunt with a C). We would like to see some honest back bencher, like Desmond Swayne, get the job.
16
This really is like dealing with obstinate and willful children, who have severe learning difficulties. From both the UK and abroad, we see abundant proof that lockdowns and restrictions do no bloody good. All they do is cause immense pain and suffering. Yet, like very disturbed children, some people seem intent on repeating these mistakes again and again. We are getting on for two years of failed strategy. Just how many more years does it have to fail for, and how much more damage has to be done, before these people get it through their thick skulls that covid-19 is here to stay and we have to live with it.
16
Like so many I've made a similar comment that YouTube has either shadow banned or is removing the likes from.
16
I'm in tears and inconsolable at that thought. How much sadder this is than somebody who has worked bloody hard all their life, and is now going to lose their £300,000 home that they have been struggling to pay the mortgage on for many years.
16
One day a year over a 4 year period is unbelievably generous. No wonder British fishermen feel that they have been sold down the river.
16
Would it really be too much trouble to just keep Geronimo away from cows and give him antibiotics to get rid of the infection? Isn't it also very strange how the government puts 100% faith in using a PCR test in regard to covid-19, but won't accept the test for tuberculosis? The science is exactly the same, so you can't have it both ways!
16
Too many who are meant to be handling this "working" from home?
16
Don't worry Ian, you will soon be part of the Irish Republic and the EU.🤣🤣🤣
16
A PM and ministers who break the rules that they have imposed on others is NEVER irrelevant!
16
Even an imbecile could have predicted this. Surely few idiots expected interest rates to remain at such absurdly low levels. And this was EASILY avoidable if the old rules about only lending 3 to 4 times income had been rigorously enforced. This would also have prevented house prices rising to unaffordable levels. Well, if people start being repossessed and/or throwing the keys back at lenders then maybe they will come back down to more realistic levels. Prepare to welcome back negative equity.
16
Didn't Hitler also claim to be fighting a "sacred war"?
16
For doctors and nurses the NHS is a truly shitty employer. What we should be asking ourselves is why the other 6 out of 10 junior doctors stay. Wouldn't it be worrying if this were because they weren't good enough to get out?
16
In almost all jobs we accept that experience in that job equips us to do it better. So I'm always extremely dubious about cabinet reshuffles. Am I the only one who thinks that they have vastly more to do with rewarding cronyism than putting the person who would best serve the country into that position?
16
For the good of the British people, and especially the poorest, Starmer should have opposed lockdowns and Covid restrictions. But it was vastly more important for him to help the government do things that would seriously damage its popularity, regardless of the harm done to the country and its people.
16
That will just postpone a lot of marriages. There needs to be a concerted effort to put an end to what is in effect a form of slavery. Anyone found guilty of coercing a young woman into marriage should be very severely punished, and if possible they should be deported. Oh, and lest we forget, FGM is still going on in this country, with government, courts and police turning a blind eye to this live changing torture.
16
Is anyone buying this act? I've seen crocodiles shed more sincere tears. The wickedness of this very evil woman has caught up with her, and the only thing she is upset about is the prospect of going to jail.
15
I've just read that Labour is spending about £45,000 per year on each illegal migrant. After the taxman has taken his cut that's more than double of what most honest, decent hardworking people take home!
15
It doesn't get much sicker and more revolting than this.
15
And YouTube is removing comments asking for it!
