  29. At 64 I make very little use of the hospitality industry, but I appreciate how important it is to younger people. I also appreciate how vital it is for the employment of many of the poorest in our society. It makes me incredibly angry when the cowardly snowflakes bang on about being cautious, because this "caution" comes at terrible cost to so many. And, looking at the way parliament has rubber stamped a lot of corona virus related legislation, even this safeguard doesn't inspire too much confidence. One thing is certain at the present time. Sars-cov-2 is now fairly well understood, and events are not occurring so rapidly as to make shortcutting the parliamentary process even remotely acceptable.
