@austin6272 They'll continue to export them here because the demand will not change. They, however, do not necessarily need what we export to them as much...
1
Biden can't limit weapons thanks to the Republican led House, but he could threaten to declassify some of the juicier dirt we have on them. Congress can't block that...just saying. Play some real hardball for once.
1
Anything unredacted would not be classified and therefore would have little to no significance in the matter at hand.
1
Putin is bluffing.
1
What can we do? Can't limit offensive weapons because the House of Representatives won't allow it, and that's the only...legitimate bargaining chip we have. The only other thing that might get their attention would be reminders that certain info we have on their operations past and present might not be as safe as they would like...
1
@chancemayon4608 Our allies will turn on us if he follows through with any of his poor Putin impersonations and we will end up like Russia.
1
Ivy league is garbage legacy education.
1
She'll be surrounded by Greek studs and living on the national dime... this is just buying her silence.
1
His weak appeasement approach will help lead to WWIII. Just like Neville Chamberlains similar mindset helped lead to WWII. Standing strong against dictators like Putin is the only way to discourage them from going too far.
1
They probably both give good...............advice 😜
1
@cathylarkins9949 Noem is 10x worse. Thanks to her inaction during Covid, SD had one of the highest percentages of their population get game overed by it of all the states. And she bragged about doing nothing like it was a good thing.
1
Anyone would be useless when the House of Representatives refuses to allow the President to use the only effective bargaining chip available to him in these negotiations.
1
Probably nothing. They're just conscripts from NK camps that they slapped some uniforms on and sent to be fodder. Why would they bother feeding them?
1
We have a signed agreement to defend them from Russian invasion. If you don't like it, leave.
1
Not how you deal with a dictator if you truly want peace. Ask Neville Chamberlain's ghost.
1
The Budapest Memorandum obligates the US to defend them against Russian invasion. Other countries simply do so because they know what happens when you let a dictator get away with invasions like this.
1
You get judged by the company you keep.
1
So NK sent Russia defective ammo and now they're sending troops who will defect...
1
The concern for national security is a non-issue. The cover sheets for each document are not themselves classified and would provide all of the information necessary for purposes of the charges without anyone having to see the actual classified information contained within them.
1
Yes it is. We have a signed treaty to defend them from Russian invasion. Russia also signed the agreement promising not to invade Ukraine. Meaning Putin knew before he did it that he'd be up against us.
1
Thou shall not lie
1
@clobar70 Allegedly. The Israeli government and the IDF aren't exactly known for their honesty.
1
He'd have to be honest and honorable for that... not happening.
1
Seek mental help
1
They also blocked Trump from having a blank check to throw us further into debt.
1
@camlacasse3760 Called it quits after 4th grade I take it...
1
Still.better run than Trump's America will be...
1
Vote for a "man" who would violate a signed agreement we made to defend Ukraine against Russian invasion...an agreement in which Russia also signed on promising not to invade Ukraine under penalty of US involvement? I think not. Just because Trump is terrified of Putin, is no reason to break our word. At least Harris has the ⚾️⚾️ to stand up to such a dictator.
1
@BamaKuntryBoy Yes originally. That $70,000 nonsense was a social media myth that Musk helped spread because he never actually read any of the bills.
1
@D0NNY-JAMES We should have left more boots on the ground, at least until a better deal was made. One of the Trump administrations goals when they started their whole draw down was to leave the country in roughly the same political and social state it was in at the time. With us gone, the Taliban took over again and put them back into medieval times. They clearly never intended to keep up their bargain without overaight, but the Trump administration still fell for it. Biden can be blamed for how the withdrawal itself went down to some extent, but the previous administration pretty much forced his hand on withdrawal in general with their agreements. Trump was overly willing to trust the Taliban because he had a campaign promise to fulfill. Sometimes, a good ruler has to know when fulfilling a promise too soon simply for the sake of fulfilling it, is a mistake.
1
Worked wonders for Neville Chamberlain...
1
As an independent centrist American, I say allow it.
1
Why give his seat to someone who will never vote with the Dems when he at least does occasionally?
1
They're trying to work on it. I mean, sending all that free sunflower fertilizer to Ukraine is a start.
1
@Saaaahdoood You're aware that you're obviously a paid propaganda account, correct?
1
Head of the White House kitchen probably. If that. Notice that RFK Jr. has not actually been appointed anywhere either. Neither will likely serve important roles as both have now served their purposes.
1
Israel let some through (the iron dome is set to ignore anything on a trajectory to hit low income/predominantly Non-jewish areas.) It also cost them at least $12M for the missiles alone. I guess that's a win for Israel (if you're not poor or non-jewish.) One of these days one of Israel's enemies are going to have someone with more than just two brain cells to rub together and realize what the major weakneases of the "iron dome" are and then it will be a mess. (and yes, it has some critical weaknesses...you think the US would give them something they didn't know how to bypass should Israel finally go too far and become an enemy?)
1
Nothing he can really do about it. Ultimately, Congress decides who gets support and who doesn't. It's one of those odd situations where the President is not really relevant.
1
Keep an eye out for the leopard...
1
At least Trump is willing address the issue that really matters...Arnold Palmer's junk. We need a President with the strength of character to check out other men's junk in the showers and then discuss it years later at a political rally...after they're dead. The mark of a truly great leader.
1
It's being followed. The crazy costs being paid come from optional auctions where companies bid to cut in line. That's free market being free market and wouldn't change if the US took over.
1
Claim it was stolen and cry.
1
49.9% of the voters apparently haven't figured that out yet... they elected him.
1
Smoke and mirrors. Just like his first term. Keep the misdirection going and maybe people won't realize how little good you're doing for them.
1
And if they simply don't want to doom the people there to such a horrible fate?
1
You mean executive orders throwing the military into chaos, thus weakening its effectiveness...
1
Plexiglass manufacturing would see a boom...
1
@Spaceshipers The people elected a President for the next four years who wanted the cap on national debt removed entirely in his version of the bill. Apparently the masses don't care about our debt.
1
Tell that to the Republican led House. They can, have, and will block any attempt by any President to stop already approved weapons. It's kind of hard to negotiate a ceasefire when you don't have control over the only bargaining chip you could use. Personally, I see no problem with sending over the air defense we did recently. Defense shouldn't get in the way of a ceasefire. The offensive weapons need to stop though
1
How so? Trump is straight up pro Israel, while Biden's campaign isn't looking great at the moment, and Biden's the only one in DC who has even tried to tell Israel no...
