Not the media's fault that your "peacemaker" President is a warmonger in disguise.
1
Because the moratorium didn't erase what one owes in unpaid rent. It merely prevented eviction. Each month she would have stayed would simply have compounded her debt. Why would she shaft her landlord in the short term and herself in the long term by staying without paying when she owns property she could live on?
1
It won't. The suicidal attack waves Russia is using in this battle are comprised of criminals and mercs. Fodder who won't be missed by many.
1
@joecancer6013 Enjoy your rubles while they're still worth something bot.
1
If Russia were to get too frisky with Western Ukraine, it could very well draw NATO into the conflict. Comrade Putin's army needs a lot of work before they'll be ready for their inevitable Polish invasion, so making them and/or other NATO countries in close proximity to Ukraine more nervous now would be a mistake.
1
Centrist and moderate independents also take Jan 6 seriously as well you know. It's just the far right who have permanently buried their heads in the sand over it.
1
The "push" is the green light to give up on getting bi-partisan support and just push it through via budget reconcilliation instead. That only requires a simple majority vote in the Senate as opposed to the 60 that would otherwise be needed. Had they taken this approach from the start, people would be condemning them for taking an end around to bypass the need for Republican support while claiming they want unity.
1
Considering what the Russian military did to those who surrendered in Crimea, they're better off fighting to the last.
1
Try harder troll.
1
With the VP present, they should have been there already.
1
Nah. Such a spike was bound to happen coming off of covid lockdown/restrictions combined with the stress of economic issues, Russia's unnecessary bullsh*t destabilizing Europe, our ridiculous political polarization, etc. The pressure of the constant dread all that has caused in the back of everyones' minds had to blow some gaskets eventually with each such shooting pushing the next shooter over the edge.
1
Because a suspect won't ever be wearing armor or using soft/hard cover and will immediately be incapacitated by "frag rounds." This isn't a video game kid. Officers can't carry a plethora of different weapons and ammo and quickly swap them out on the fly. They use the weapon/ammo that will be effective in the most situations possible and "frag rounds" do not fit that description.
1
Yeah, you'd probably have more friendly fire injuries/deaths and the suspect would likely still be at large. The average civilian carrier spends far less time at the range than officers do and aren't as mentally prepared to handle such violent situations. Thus both their aim and their judgement are not likely going to be as good.
1
Figurtaively the Palestinians are David (the weak underdog willing to abandon honor and fight dirty for the sake of defeating a much more powerful opponent) and Israel Goliath in this modern version of the tale. Israel would do well to recognize that and consider whether that's a role they're comfortable playing.

When MAGA came along...
1
There were multiple instances during his term where Trump accidentally leaked classified information during press conferences and on twitter. Thus it wouldn't exactly be good for national security to keep giving him such info.
1
That explains why your country is such a joke I guess.
1
Mike Dorman Assuming that for every confirmed US case of covid 19 there are nine others that didn't get diagnosed, the mortality rate of covid 19 would still be about ten times that of the swine flu during that particular outbreak. Also, the numbers put up by covid 19 in the US come while we are taking far more drastic safety measures to mitigate it's spread than we did with the previous swine flu. On top of that, we have a great deal of experience with the swine flu and understand it's risks and how to mitigate them far better than we do covid 19.
1
You can supply weapons but you can't really supply experience/training. As another comment said, Ukrainian pilots are trained on Russian made aircraft mostly and the US doesn't have those. In order to get an iron grip in the air, the US and others would have to send in their own air power. Which they should have long since done... It's probably too late now anyway. We could dominate the skies but Ukraine may not have enough soldiers left to really take advantage of it now. Were others to send in ground forces, they would have a pretty big hill to climb in order to turn things around.
1
@PowderedVoltage He doesn't understand anything beyond real estate scamming and pump and dump schemes... His policies will only benefit the wealthy at the expense of the average Joe.
1
There is no real answer to hypersonic missiles currently. Other than air power to take out the Russian jets that fire one type of Russia's hypersonics/launch sites of others. The same mostly goes for long range artillery as well. The only way to stop it is air strikes. Missiles and rockets might be useful in some situations but it's air power they really need and not in the form of jets for them to fly. The US or somebody is going to have to get directly involved if Ukraine is to have any real chance.
1
So far both Democrats and the majority of Independent registered voters support continuing the investigation.
1
Pale in comparrison to what the Middle East countries do to each other and to their own people. Remember that the vast majority of deaths in Iraq came well after the fight to remove Saddam was over and were due to the terrorists Iraq's neighbors sent in to prevent them from forming a stable democracy.
1
They only read them for the comic value to be found within...and perhaps some morbid curiosity at how so many people still fall for Donnie's bs. It's not often you get a chance to peer into the delusional minds of cultists on such a grand scale.
1
It would have been unconstitutional for him to preside. The Chief Justice only presides over the trial of a President. Trump wasn't the President...
1
There's some logic to it. Former Presidents often act as unofficial ambassadors and briefing them can help keep them up on who might not be someone they should have dealings with. Also, it keeps them in the loop on policy so that they'll know what not to say etc. I do agree though, it's a bit odd.
1
One more Putin bluff called...how much weaker does his hand need to be before his backers fold him I wonder...
1
What was the lie? If you know anything about the method used, then you'd know that the agonizing first ~2 minutes was the result of his desperate attempt to hold his breath as long as possible, not the method itself. You'd also know that, though the labored breathing and random twitches may have been unsettling for some to watch, he haf actually lost consciousness shortly after he could no longer hold his breath and had to start breathing the N2 and thus was never aware of any of it.
1
@Tokintopher444 They chose to begin the audit at a venue they knew would become temporarily unavailable to them well before the process would be completed and thus would force them to pack up and move everything into storage for a week or so then set it all back up to continue the process...They either weren't prepared or those managing it are complete dipsh*ts...or more likely both.
1
@mkedan6741 The vast majority of those deaths are on the hands of the insurgents Iraq's neighbors sent in to prevent them from becoming a successful democracy. The actual fight to remove Saddam from power saw surprisingly low casualties. Our biggest mistake was leaving the Iraqi people to the wolves by pulling out when we did.
1
Cowardice and complacency
1
For what? Anyone familiar with Nitrogen hypoxia will tell you that the agonizing first ~2 minutes were the result of the condemned desperately trying to hold his breath as long as possible, not the method itself. They'll also tell you that he lost consciousness shortly after he could no longer hold his breath and had to finally start breathing then N2. Once unconscious, he was not aware of the labored breathing and occassional twitches that occurred afterward. What may have been unsettling for some to watch, was actually a painless and "quick" (relative to his last conscious awareneas) way to go from his side of things. Well... except for the unnecessary self inflicted agony he caused himself by holding his breath that is. Something he was warned would happen if he chose to do so.
1
Nothing he can do to stop it as President. He's already tried once and the Republican led House overruled him. Learn how your Government works under the Constitution before you start throwing blame in the wrong direction.
1
The IDF's criminal misuse of the 2,000 lb. bombs we supplied them with is what killed those hostages and most likely those so far unaccounted for as well. Hamas never should have taken them in the first place but I doubt even they thought that Israel would so easily prioritize genocidal revenge and land grabbing over the wellbeing of the hostages like they did. We should have never supplied such munitions to a regime so devoid of morals and common decency... They've shown themselves to be no better than those they fight. Possibly even worse considering that Hamas at least doesn't put much effort into hiding the fact that they're terrorists. Israel on the other hand...
1
Quit spreading false information.
1
About the only thing that could be changed would be to quit using full metal jacketed rounds and/or make them use handguns only. The problem is, that could put officers at a big disadvantage in various situations and still wouldn't guarantee no ricochets/rounds penetrating through walls.
1
Not really. A fentanyl overdose causes low oxygen levels. He may have actually helped the defense a bit. They should have him point out the evidence found in the autopsy that would explain such low levels. The level of fentanyl in Floyd's system is all there is.
1
At least your bullsh*t is absurdly comical... The Russian military refuses to guarantee the safety of the civilians in the bunker. Just those from other areas of the city. Also, there are numerous reports of civilians seeking safety being rounded up and sent to Russia against their will (with some of those reports already being verified by humanitarian agencies.) Add that to what Russia did with civilians and surrendering soldiers in Crimea and there's no way any civilians can fully trust them. There needs to be a legitimate neutral third party involved to process the civilians and get them to safety before many will be willing to go.
1
They were originally hoping to do it with bi-partisan support (unity and all.) Since that went nowhere, his "push" is the green light to just use reconcilliation instead. They'll likely start the process within the next couple of days.
1
The Bernie is strong with this one.
1
Put on a badge and get out there yourself or stfu kid.
1
When the districts that the area is split between have to be responsible for everything Disney has seen to in the past, they are going to fall flat on their faces. Disney will sue the crap out of them and Florida and win most of those suits. DeSantis needs to learn that politics is only personal if you make it so. If he wants to be President, he's going to have to drop his childish ways and get some thicker skin or he'll fail just as hard as Trump did. Both have/had the potential to do some good but both kept/keep letting their tempers and other unpleasant personality traits get in the way of their better judgement.
1
You really should cover the effect that counter tariffs will have. Farmers are going to get wrecked, and the spike in our trade deficit will lead to many layoffs. Good times.
1
Likely none. They have once again chosen the path of cowardice. They'll continue to make token gestures of support but don't expect them to grow a pair anytime soon.
1
@sapphire605 When they don't have nukes probably...
1
The Potter trial was a farce and even if it weren't, that incident did not involve protecting a wounded civilian and Potter was not told that the suspect had a gun. Also, the weaponry used here was appropriate. A suspect might be wearing armor, use soft/hard cover, and if gunfire is needed, it should be of a type most likely to incapacitate said suspect quickly. It's not a video game and officers can't quickly swap load outs on the fly. They use what will be effective in the most situations possible.
1
Anyone with enough sense to take into account the mechanics of our elections along with all of the unique aspects involved with this one knows that the results make sense without the need for the "conspiracy" cop out.
1
They would if prosecutors would quit choosing gun charges as one of the first to drop/reduce when it comes to plea bargain arrangements. Seeking the maximum sentence for those that do make it to trial and lead to conviction wouldn't hurt either.
1
So pretty much 98% of American manufacturers will be affected...
1
There are members of his first election campaign who were convicted of such collusion. That fact alone legitimizes those claims far more than any evidence offered in court by Trump's oompa loompa legal team concerning widescale election fraud.
