@redcharm6173 Because Trump has shown, with his persecution and purging of the moderates and centrists of his own party, that he has no place for the center in his vision of America. Much less the left. Both are to be ridiculed and mocked like second class citizens...and have been for nearly eight years.

Trump and Vance did a co-interview...
1
Or Virginia could update their ancient law and simply cross reference the voter registration with the federal citizenship database rather than use years old dmv forms that may not have been updated properly when people became citizens...
1
Except many are legit citizens. Virginia's registration system is horribly out dated and inaccurate as a result. All they had to do was cross reference their registration with the federal citizenship database. Much better than relying on old dmv paperwork.
1
@eddyimplementredux If only those problems were so easy to solve...
1
Still better than voting for someone who has made it clear with his persecution and purging of the moderates and centrists of his own party that he has no place in his vision of America for the center, much less the left.

Who cares? For the majority of our history Presidential interviews weren't "live". All that matters is getting the platform out. Everything else is just a dog and pony show for candidates with more charisma than substance.
1
Trump has yet to give any actual plans. Just vague promises with no real thought behind them. There's not much to copy except maby finishing that useless wall.

@AAA-o4g begone bot
1
The military in general doesn't like Trump for many reasons. Fox and other right wing companies know that and will always shy away from such issues.
1
Completely unnecessary manufactured issue. The current state laws already do enough to prevent non-citizen votes from being cast and nearly none that are ever get counted. It's estimated from various studies that ~0.0001% of the total vote is comprised of non-citizen votes. Considering the percentage of the population who aren't citizens, that's nothing. Move on to a real issue.

Uneducated

Who cares? Let them present their platform. That's all that matters. The rest is just a dog and pony show for candidates with more charisma than substance.

Homelander maybe...

That would explain some of the crazy conspiracy stuff I've heard online conservatives spreading in comment sections lately... Are they going to do anything about the Russian pro-Trump bot campaign going on now?
1
Not really. Trump has spent eight years chasing off the moderates and centrists of his party. The center is quiet and easily overlooked, but they ultimately decide Presidential elections. As flawed as they are, the left does not attack the center and still has moderates and centrists among them. That makes them preferable to those who believe in working together to solve problems and compromise.
1
Many of the problems of the last four years could have been avoided or greatly lessened had Trump done his job properly during his term. He left a lot of time bombs sitting around for the next administration. He spent too much time crying about fake news and playing golf while many fuses were burning.
1
@VA_Hunter it's horribly outdated. They still check old dmv forms which don't always get properly updated when someone gains their citizenship...and robo mail notification doesn't always reach people (I've had experience with that problem myself.) If they would just update to cross referencing their registry with the federal citizenship database like other states have, it would be much more accurate, easier, and faster. They could then spend the time saved to actually put some effort into making sure those purged are properly notified. As for the 90 days. Fwderal laws change and state laws need to adapt. Laziness or political grandstanding opportunities are no excuse. They knew there was a conflict and did it anyway, thus forcing the judge's decision for political show.
1
@VA_Hunter It only got brought to attention now because Virginia chose to knowingly violate federal law and got called on it. Also, I would argue that Virginia's sheer incompetence in handling their own laws (they did somehow manage to register 1600 people who originally marked non citizen on their dmv form to begin with after all) is itself a violation of Constitutional rights of those purged and the rest of us. They clearly can't be trusted enough to accurately register or purge voters in their state.
1
Those on the list that they've been able to contact have been citizens. Virginia's method of checking is severely out dated and inaccurate. They still use old dmv forms instead of cross referencing the federal citizenship database. Would you rather have laws that prevent citizens from voting due to bureaucratic laziness or protect the right of legitimate citizens to vote?
1
@Peggy-h7m Few try and their votes are almost never counted. When caught they face jail time and/or deportation. Something like 0.0001% of the total vote is estimated to be comprised of such votes that slip through. Not a problem...bot.
1
They already can't vote in elections legally...please vote this disingenuous representative out of office. Your citizenship gets checked when you register. In states that let you vote without already being registered, your ballot goes into the provisional stack. It is then later checked to see if you were indeed qualified to register at the time. If not, it gets tossed. Something like 0.0001% of the total vote is comprised of non-citizen votes that slip through. It's not a problem, just a manufactured political issue being used by one party to hijack Congress for political reaaons.
1
No, the MAGA contingent needs to either go or form their own party. They are not Republicans.
1
The center is leaning to Harris and the center decides Presidential elections. Harris's lead is what happens when a candidate spends eight years persecuting and purging the moderates and centrists from their own party.
1
@cindyk.6462 He's spent eight years persecuting and purging the moderates and centrists from his own party. RFK is simply a convenient tool for him at the moment. As soon as he outlives his usefulness, Trump will discard him and never give him another thought...unless it's to resume ridiculing him. RFK was a desperate fool to bend the knee.
1
The fix is simple. Virginia needs to update their out dated election laws. There's a government citizenship database they can cross reference their voter registration with instead of relying on years old dmv forms which may not have gotten properly updated as people became citizens. Coming into compliance with federal voting rights laws would probably help as well.
1
Virginia's incompetence in handling their voter registration is indeed disgraceful. Maybe the people there should look into holding their state government accountable for it.
1
Wouldn't be surprised. She wants nothing to do with being first lady again. You could tell she was glad to be out after four years. Her husband pulled a Tom Brady on her.
1
Rasmussen is right biased with poor methodology. 538 even dropped them. They do automated "likely voter" polls that aren't exactly randomized. Pretty much all high sample registered voters polls have Harris ahead by at least 2% overall.
1
Trump and Vance did a co-interview after the RNC...
1
@NomiVou Grow up.
1
Just one upholding the law. Virginia knew in advance that they were violating federal law and chose to do it anyway for political reasons.
1
Your citizenship is confirmed when you register. In some states, they simply check your name and signature against the registry. Which is fine. I'm a natural born citizen who has voted at the same place my entire voting life and had to do a provisional ballot once because my signature changed in between elections (took a job where I had to sign it 50+ times a day.) The lady at the polls had even known me my entire life and still insisted. As long as the election officials enforce the existing laws, it's not a problem.
