@insectwarfare8681 Not necessarilly. There's never been a consensus on the definition of "low yield" in regards to tactical nukes. Going by current and past warheads which have been/are classified as such by those possessing them, it can range anywhere from a small fraction of a kiloton all the way up to 100 kilotons. In comparison, the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs were only 15 kt and 20 kt respectively. Edit: When it comes to the various nuclear disarmament agreements, few, if any significant restrictions were placed on "tactical" nuclear weapons. As a result, both the US and Russia exploited that loophole by classifying increasingly greater kiloton yielding warheads as "low yield" tactical nukes.

The fools here did it to themselves. We may be able to salvage things if the House is wise enough to block his most idiotic policies.

g h Shadow ban on Russian bots/trolls. Edit: The comments are kept but are disabled so that only the account who made them can see them.

The UK ship was not in Russian territorial waters or their exclusive economic zone. Anything more than a warning shot would have been a deliberate act of war.

They've sent humanitarian aid to the Ukraine... It's better all around if they just stay out of it beyond such aid. Also, History will ask why the US refused to honor their part of the Budapest Memorandum and essentially hung Ukraine out to dry. The answer will sadly be cowardice...

You've got to get out of your parents basement more often...you're becoming delusional.

Try harder bot.

It would have been an equally vulnerable target which, if hit as well, would have caused an even bigger mess.

@echero2449 Pfizer is pretty much the only company which did not accept funding from international governments for R&D and production. Opting instead to eat those costs in favor of government contracts to buy their vaccine at a set price. Were they to lose control of their proprietary information, competing companies could simply use such government funding to cover the expenses you mentioned and set their price per unit to whatever countries would be willing to pay with nearly all of that income being profit.

He's had a way out the whole time...simply withdraw the Russian military. The fact that Comrade Putin is so hellbent on continuing his invasion only supports the idea that one of his goals may be to destroy the Ukranian people. No one's backing Putin into a corner. He's painted himself into one.
1
When it comes to the Taiwan situation, China's position does need to be taken into consideration since the game is being played much closer to their back yard than ours. Assuming one wishes to avoid unnecessary hostilities that is.
1
@blammod Proof they don't have...they claimed thousands of votes were at stake in an Arizona case. It turned out to involve 128...and they didn't even win that case.
1
How do they know about ballots from dead people? Because they get caught during the validation process and thrown out without being counted. Go back and listen to those reporting on it and notice how they never use the word counted. If they aren't counted, then they have no effect on the election. If I were you, I would consider such deceptive journalism an insult to my intelligence.

@dougjohnson435 I'll take the others. Of all the methods, pipelines are the most vulnerable to cyber attacks/physical sabotage.
1
The least we can do considering we signed an agreement to defend Ukraine militarily should Russia ever invade in return for Ukraine giving up their nuclear weapons (their only real deterrent to such an invasion.) Russia has invaded them twice now and we have yet to honor that agreement.
1
@yehimstone5492 The Russian pipeline increases their competition with Iran when it comes to oil and thus makes any Russian support of Iran less desirable. Strategically, that benefits the US in their dealings with Iran.
1
Taiwan isn't an internationally recognized country.
1
@ajayreddy8732 As long as they aren't returned to the same government they had prior to the Chinese invasion.

It doesn't even happen in the US.

@dougwalls6266 No they weren't.

The substances contained in the vaccine are already known. What they're not revealing is the specifics of the process they use to make it.
1
Maybe if you got out of your parents basement more often you'd know how stupid you sound.
1
@echero2449 The contents of their vaccine are already known (even with emergency approval the FDA still requires that information.) How useful that information will be for you depends on how much you know about the mechanisms involved with the creation and function of mRNA vaccines in general. The only thing Pfizer aren't releasing is the specific process they use to make it. Edit: Also, I never said I agreed with Rand's views. I only mentioned it because Rearden Steel were forced by the government to allow their method to be used by other companies with no recompense and that's essentially what people want Pfizer to be forced to do.
1
@Homer Simpson There's more known than you might think. The mRNA method has been studied and used for protein therapies for awhile so issues related to that method in general have been documented. With many closely spaced doses over long periods of time, the lipid nanoparticles used to coat the mRNA can potentially build up quicker than the body can flush them out which can lead to some temporary mild inflamation of certain organs. Other than that and the usual tiny fraction of cases where someone is allergic to something or whose body doesn't deal with some part of it like the majority of others do, nothing of concern has been noted. If you want to fear the vaccines, that's your call, but don't be surprised if the majority of the claimed effects ultimately turn out to be psychosomatic or otherwise unrelated to the vaccines.

I'd say It was a pretty big step... backwards. The autopsy evidence only directly supported fentanyl overdose as the cause of death. Nothing was found that exclusively supported the official cause of death. Under Minnesota state law, the second degree manslaughter conviction may have been legitimate due to how long he waited before checking Floyd's condition after he became unresponsive. With no physical evidence that the cops actions directly led to his death, the two murder convictions were unjust. If we make a habit of allowing verdicts to be based on mob rule rather than rule of law, that dream you speak of will become a nightmare.

The incident occurred in what is internationally recognized as Ukraine territory at least 150 km away from Russia's recognized territory. (Russia's annexation of Crimea is not internationally recognized and the area is considered to still be part of Ukraine.)
1
Nah. He may try to destroy it out of spite, but it would be counterproductive to actually invade in order to bring them back into the fold. The destruction caused by such an assault would leave them an economic liability rather than a benefit and the conquered people would only inject democratic thought and ideals into the populous which he definitely does not want to do. His eyes are set on potential gains further south.

The flu is the only one you mentioned with a significant change. Which was expected since it doesn't spread well to begin with and is vulnerable to the same precautions as covid 19 (flu vaccinations increased as well.) Provisional data for 2020 US Deaths is available with a little searching. Heart disease (includes CHF): ~691k deaths (prior ~659k) Cancer: ~599k deaths (prior ~599k) Covid: ~345k deaths (NA) Unintentional injury: ~192k deaths (prior ~173k) COPD: ~152k deaths (prior ~157k)

There would be no need. Russia will become a complete pariah state world wide (even China would bail on him and begin taking steps to replace him with a less delusional puppet of their choosing.) They'd be sanctioned into oblivion and once Europe finds other sources and wean themselves off of Russian energy, Russia will go from being a glorified gas station with nukes to being a third world sh*t hole...with nukes within a decade or so.
1
There's a slight flaw in your logic. Almost all pipeline systems (including Keystone if it were finished) rely heavily on remote operation and are thus equally if not more, vulnerable to such attacks. Backup lines would have just given the hackers more targets and caused a much larger mess if hit as well. Edit: Of all the methods for transporting oil, pipelines are the most vulnerable to cyber attacks/physical sabotage. They're only used because they're generally the cheapest.

The middle east being the middle east... The vast majority of the deaths were the result of the insurgents sent in by their neighbors to prevent them from forming a successful democracy. Prior to that, the deaths and infrastructure damage caused in the fight to remove Saddam were quite low.

So many pathetic trolls in the comment section... It's understandable I guess. People who would piss themselves if they were to ever leave their parents' basement are bound to resent someone who's actually useful.

No one cares what Russia's National Propoganda Management Center has to say...The last time Russia's government released true information, they still had a Tsar.

@RedPillSurvival What's in it is already known... It's the specifics of the process they use to create it (which would be considered proprietary information were it any other product) that they don't want to reveal.
1
@ne14lov22002 Nah, It's about money or more accurately, protecting what they consider to be proprietary information (in this case, the specific process they use to create the vaccine.) If you've read "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand, Pfizer's situation is similar to that of the Rearden Steel company concerning their method of creating Rearden Metal.

Sanctions haven't stopped them. The have strategic dollar reserves that are not affected by the sanctions and could be used if they wanted to. They're just choosing not to.

Russia is only internationally recognized to control ~14% of the Black Sea. The UK ship was not in their territorial waters or their economic exclusion zone.
