He'll get his blank check through a reconciliation bill once he takes office.

Way to go Do Nothing Noem...

@HHH-ye1ro She did absolutely nothing during Covid and as a result her state was one of the hardest hit by population. Many unnecessary deaths and many unnecessary crushing medical debts. She even had the gall to go around bragging about doing nothing. That's all I need to know. Had SD not been so rural, they would have been the hardest hit state. She's a waste of space. Edit: and a murderer.

That's what a great deal of this bill is targeted at...

@mikedaugherty5501 You sign an employment agreement and get paid at a job. You're also free to quit (though there may be some penalties if you break the agreement you signed, they can't force you to work.) Husbands/wives/parents choose to take on those roles. In the matter of abortion bans, those who wish not to carry to term aren't given the choice. The state is essentially forcing them to do labor against their will and with nothing in return. That's when it becomes involuntary servitude.

@caribbeantigress He doesn't have to say anything. Just sign the order. Until someone gets around to successfully 25th amendmenting him, he's still the President and his signature counts.

There are tens of thousands of Springfield citizens who say otherwise. Any population is going to have rumormongers and attention seekers who will say anything if you stick a mic and camera on them.

Speak for yourself.

Quit spreading false information.

There's little to no money going to foreign countries that doesn't benefit us as much or more than it would whoever else was involved. Even then, it makes up less than 0.6% of the bill's cost at most. Edit: The direct payout is a band-aid that ultimately does nothing to fix things. This bill focuses heavily on long term recovery and reopening in addition to the payouts. All of which is in the interest of the American people.

That's rich...The vast majority of the so called "separatists" comprising those make believe "republics" are nothing but mercs themselves (Russian fighters Comrade Putin sent in over the years with no legitimate ties to the area.) Mercs murdering mercs for being mercs... If the scum actually murder a single one of them, I hope the UK sends SAS into that make believe "republic" to assassinate everyone involved with that kangaroo court. Ukraine should consider executing some of Comrade Putin's mercs they've captured as well (and they have a lot). A 10:1 ratio would get the message accross clearly.
1
Wagner group, the pro-Russian neck beards from Chechnya, and the majority of pro-Russian "separatists" also count as mercs (with the remainder of the "separatists" being traitors) if that's how they want to play it.
1
@timby2383 It's not the Russians. Not even Comrade Putin would be dumb enough to add summary execution to the list of war crimes he's committed. That would be a guaranteed swing from a rope. He's letting the terrorists he sent into the Donbas region over the years hang themselves instead. Their "republic" doesn't exist, thus neither does their "court." If they kill these men it will be murder and the SAS/MI6 will have fun hunting them down and bringing them to justice.

And yes to a major outbreak...

How so? Contrary to the false information being spread about this bill, it's actually quite good. The people against it seem to think that simply giving out money as a band-aid is all that should be included. That alone does nothing to fix things. This bill focuses heavily on long term recovery and reopening along with direct payouts. There's very little of what might classify as pork or foreign aid in it (despite claims otherwise that never seem to be able to show any examples which cost enough to be significant.) Had the other bills bothered to properly address the long term aspects and reopening, we would likely be much better off than we currently are.

Enjoy your rubles kid

@Abigail Stockwell That will be remembered. It will also be one more nail in their party's coffin.

@bytesizedwisdomcs List this pork you speak of or gtfo.

More like your personal information will be sold to hackers...

@tnp_slay5814 If you would read the bill, you'd know that there's almost nothing even resembling foreign aid in it... The closest it comes would be the $750M (0.04% of the total cost) for the food for peace program, the $800M (a little over 0.04% of the total cost) to fund foreign operations of the CDC, and the standard $10B (0.5% of the total cost) for a foreign affairs contingency fund you'd expect to find in a bill concerning something that might include interacting with foreign governments (the "pan" part of pandemic pretty much making such interaction inevitable.) Most of that likely won't get spent as it's always better to overfund something and have leftovers than to underfund something. Personally, I don't consider any of that to be foreign aid as we benefit from it just as much as whoever else would be involved but, even if it you do consider it foreign aid, it makes up less than 0.6% of the bill's total cost at most.

I thought I was cynical...

@ChristisKing117 seek mental help
1
Mercs (and even spies) are protected from summary execution.... The "court" handling this is not legitimate as the "republic" behind it doesn't exist (the area is still internationally recognized as part of Ukraine.) If they kill these men, it will be the equivalent of summary execution making all involved in their murder war criminals.

You should get out of your parents' basement more often.

So does Trump and all other Presidential candidates for quite awhile now.

He's going to need over $1T for his mass deportations, hundreds of billions (at least) to bailout multiple sectors as a result of his disastrous economic policies, and he'll need to make up for the lost revenue from his tax cuts for the wealthy. Just like his first term, he's going to jack the debt up astronomically... if allowed to.

@ItsMillerTime.23 He wants to demolish the FDA. Poorly regulated food means more parasites etc.

Go read it...

This doesn't make sense. The full video evidence is out and it's clear that the officer did nothing wrong. Why are these fools charging him? Stupidity like this makes me wonder if Sherman had the right idea all along...the place would be better off as a pile of ash.

That was dropped from the bill.
