The laptop's a dead issue. None of the emails the various audits have been able to verify contain any real useful evidence. Combine that with all the evidence of tampering occurring when it was no longer in Hunter's possession and it's overall shady chain of custody and no prosecutor in their right mind would ever consider using it as evidence.

Someone has to keep the wealthy wealthy...

@loris3595 Because there was no embezzlement...
4
She (like Jordan and Nunes) is just another dishonest politician with little integrity and an apparently low (but sadly accurate) opinion of her constituents intelligence.
4
Yes they can...The number of SCOTUS Justices isn't set or addressed by the Constitution. That leaves it up to legislation passed by Congress. There's no such legislation which requires all three branches to agree.
4
That's because she's written numerous articles for legal publications supporting using her religious beliefs to make legal decisions and has been a member of some less than reputable political based groups in the past.
4
Play stupid games...win stupid prizes applies to politicians too.
4
For once, she has a point here. This is one of the most disingenuous decisions to come out of SCOTUS in a while and it's becoming increasingly difficult to defend them against such accusations given all of the other issues some of them have gotten themselves into...
4
@mikefowler301 She's pretty much right. The reason such affidavits aren't unsealed prior to an indictment is because the information they contain can potentially allow the person being investigated's legal team to compromise the effectiveness of the investigation.

They allowed him more total speaking time and both candidates were cut off numerous times. His opponent simply had the decency to stop talking and he didn't. Quit making excuses and just admit he did a bad job, was clearly unprepared and got trounced as a result. Don't worry, Fox's moderators will likely allow him to turn it into one of his rallies rather than a debate like he tried and failed to do on ABC.
4
It's not just the Dems. Moderates, Centrists, and many Independents see through this ruling as well, and aren't happy. The argument made by SCOTUS is about as disingenuous as it could possibly be and they know it. SCOTUS was never intended to be a rubber stamp for any particular ideology and that's what they appear to have become these days.

@johnlamas5880 There's not always a right way...

Read the bill. It only allowed abortion beyond viability (20 to 22 weeks depending on the doctor) if the doctor in good faith determines that carrying to term would pose a risk to the mother's life...
4
He did the same thing last time too. I don't think he's capable of shutting his mouth.

The warrant was specific and was shown to his lawyer along with an inventory of what was taken and it was executed well within the legal timeframe after it was signed. In other words, the warrant was legitimately obtained and executed. Conservatives should start looking for another Presidential candidate to back as former President Trump has allowed his arrogance to ruin any chance he had of being a legitimate candidate in 2024. He'll only avoid prison due to the complications putting a former President in prison would cause.
4
The truth hurts sometimes kid.
4
I'd rather Zelenskyy replace Trump. Far more respectable leader.
4
The Abrahamic God comes across as a bit of a bloodthirsty psychopath in the bible. Not quite up to my standards when it comes to potential allies.
4
Choosing to rule based on law rather than public opinion does not make them derelict of duty.
4
That would require the kids at DOGE to actually know how to audit. Don't hold your breath.
4
Honesty would be much more attractive...
4
Grown adults don't need pep rallies to motivate them to vote and strong candidates don't need their ego's constantly stroked by a personality cult to be confident.
4
Any judge would have done it. You don't do purges right in the middle of an election or run off. You do them during the offseason.
4
Women yes. The mixing of church and state...not so much.
4
Mixing religious beliefs with the law has done wonders for Iran...

They offered factory space only. Finding the workers needed to retool and then operate the plant would be Cuomo's responsibility were he to accept. He does not have the power to conscript labor and would have to rely on volunteers (many of whom would need to be skilled.) The President however could simply order Remington Arms to retool and do it themselves. The latter would be a far more productive approach.
3
Much less than if they had greenlighted Trump's blank check version of the bill.
3
The SCOTUS justices have already demonstrated such. The cases they've been presented with and dismissed have been complete garbage. Despite knowing how mentally unhinged many Trump supporters have become, they still chose to rule appropriately and not placate the mob by legitimizing such frivolous suits.
3
Reining in the unnecessary corporate price gouging would go a lot farther than tax cuts would.
3
If you want election laws changed, take it up with the individual states. The Constitution intended there to be very little Federal involvement with elections. With the majority of that little bit belonging to Congress. SCOTUS was meant, and has always tried, to remain as far out of it as possible. Especially with cases as pathetic as those they were presented with concerning the recent election.
3
I'm curious. Have you read any of the articles she's written for legal publications, looked up interviews, etc.? He's definitely exaggerating a bit but there is reason for concern if she gets put on SCOTUS.
3
Extrordinary claims require extrordinary proof, and Musk has offered none... just saying. His history with honesty isn't exactly the greatest either.
3
Supply isn't the issue. It's artificial price increases hiding behind cost increases that leveled off quite awhile ago. All the grocery stores I know have plenty coming in yet corporate keeps raising prices almost weekly to boost their stock prices. It will level off when they find the sweet spot of how much they can charge without sales going down. In other words, how much blood they can suck without killing the victim.
3
An impeachment inquiry is the equivalent of a grand jury. Grand juries are not open to the public. If something is deemed worthy of going to trial, the trial is public. You only fight a grand jury/impeachment inquiry if you want to prevent things from going public. You are being played for a fool by these representatives and their childish little publicty stunt. and these representatives should be ashamed of themselves and resign in disgrace.
3
@donnastokes-manning6175 Gramatically perhaps. Legally, it's laughable.
3
All Trump's team has ever needed to do was to present a lawsuit that had actual evidence backing it. They chose to spam unsupported garbage instead hoping something might stick. So far, SCOTUS has ruled appropriately in their dismissals. What they're being presented with now is no more legitimate than the others and will likely be dismissed accordingly. Were they to placate the mob and legitimize such garbage by hearing it, it would set a precedent allowing future elections to be ground to a halt simply by spamming lawsuits with no need for any factual basis supporting them.
3
She's not that competent. South Dakota has some of the worst covid numbers in the country relative to their population. Despite being 6th lowest in population density, they are 8th in covid deaths/100k. They account for ~0.37% of the total US covid deaths but only ~0.27% of the total population. That's ~37% more than their fair share of covid deaths (at least ~600 potentially unnecessary dead.) What's worse is that she touts her inaction when it comes to precautions as a great accomplishment.
3
She didn't need to. He did more for her campaign with his bizarre answers and behavior than anything she could have accomplished there. Wise move on her part.
3
@ltdc426 You can read it as the initial count in Florida being inconclusive due to the margin of victory (~500 votes) being less than the margin of error for such counts and thus the winner cannot be determined legitimately without a recount. Even if flipping Florida would not have changed the outcome of the overall election, a recount was still necessary to legitimately determine who actually won the state. Also, Gore's challenge occurred before the vote had been officially verified and he bowed out honorably once "safe harbor" day came along essentially making it official. Had he been trying to overturn the election, he would have continued his challenge beyond that point because prior to that it had yet to be officially determined and thus there was nothing to overturn.

Wealthy people create the illusion of the American Dream by offering you indentured servitude in the guise of a job. Edit: You'd be surprised at how many working people are living in their cars these days thanks to corporate price gouging and the crap wages those same corporations pay those who actually do the work they profit from.

Read some history logical thinker
3
Nah, bill's decent. Making Donnie wait for a reconciliation bill to get his blank check to skyrocket our debt again was the right thing to do.
3
Why did the President elect who campaigned on cutting spending demand a blank check provision? Who knows why politicians suck?
3
And that is why we fail...

The relevant law is unenforceable unless the individual steps foot on the Justice's property or impedes travel to or from it. It's prohibitions are tied to being "in or near" the property but no specific distance is provided to define "near." A first year law student could get charges based on being "near" the property dropped easily. That's all assuming that the law itself isn't unconstitutional to begin with. Which it likely is as certain elements do appear to violate the 1st amendment. If the Justices can't handle the heat, no one's forcing them to remain in the kitchen...
3
@randallhughes5687 He put his retirement paperwork in months before the deployment order came down... That's not abandonment.
3
Probably not. Trump however could If anyone wanted to bother looking into his various market manipulation schemes while he was in office.
3
They're just trying to stay in the will...It's pretty pointless though. After his fines for tax fraud are dealt with and all his creditors paid, there won't be anything left for them to inherit...well, maybe a few MAGA hats...
3
The one that lied about everything having been turned over is going to get more recognition than they want and will definitely need financial support once they get disbarred...
3
Kool-Aid...it's a hell of a drug.
