Russia cares less about it's people than the US...and that's saying something. Their vax is probably 99% vodka and 1% effs given.

You'll lose.

Putin was the first to call for talks early on when he was "winning." In a situation that looks to be a stalemate, the side with any recent momentum behind them will often propose talks in hopes of using it to get a favorable deal.
1
I have complete psychotic break.
1
@randomdude189 This was about delivering a sucker punch to Xi's political power and it worked perfectly. It's about the only thing the current administration has done well.
1
Nope

It depends on why the heart stopped. If it's due to blood loss and there's not much you can do to slow the leak, then it's probably not going to help much. If it stopped due to shock, head wound, organ damage, or other reasons than just blood loss however, cpr can be effective. Either way, there's no reason not to at least try while waiting on the emt's.

Keep it up and in a few months you might have enough rubles to buy a cheap cup of coffee.

People like you are just sickening...

Unless pooh bear really is as dumb as he looks, there's no way China would try to take Taiwan by force any time soon. It's a poison pawn. China's bank's and economy are collapsing, there's a major water crisis in the making, and civil unrest is rapidly increasing. The last thing they need is another drain on their economy which is what Taiwan would be after all of the damage China would have to do to their infrastructure before they would surrender. Add to that, the significant injection of democratic ideals into mainland culture at a time when the communist party is full of incompetent sycophants who won't question pooh's inept leadership, and you have a recipe for an all out revolt. Taiwan should let pooh throw his hissy fit, respond with "how cute" and go about their business as usual.

@WOLFMAN1469 It's a federal crime to record a conversation without court approval unless one of the parties has given prior consent and It's only illegal to disclose information acquired from an illegal wiretap. Law Enforcement listening in on a conversation between two or more parties without prior consent from any of them is illegal without a warrant. In the case at hand however, the tapping was done by one of the parties in the conversation. Thus, it follows that they gave themselves prior consent to do so. As such the tap was legal making the release of the information from it legal as well. Edit: Interestingly, if Georgia were one of the states that requires consent from all parties, they would be fine under federal law but could potentially face charges at the state level.

@truthchannel7932 I've listened to the full thing and there is no context in which even making the call to begin with is acceptable under the Constitution. The founding fathers intentionally left the executive branch out of the loop when it comes to elections to prevent Presidents from directly using their position to influence the operation and/or outcome of elections in any way (especially when they're one of the candidates.) The courts are the method provided should a President wish to contest some aspect of an election. If they are unsuccessful there, then that's it as far as their direct involvement is concerned. If he weren't going to be out soon anyway, that call (even though not as overtly threatening as some of the media make it out to be) is definitely an impeachable offense. Far more so that the Ukraine call was and at least equal to Nixon's Watergate shenanigans. The Senate Republicans would have had an extremely difficult, if not impossible, time letting him off the hook on it were it to have been prosecuted.

Tell them to go eff themselves.
1
@CrossCynical That might be a bit too...cynical. The people in question are members of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. They own/co-own patents because of their work in the field as private citizens. You need people who know their field on the committee. The problem is, those people usually own patents and/or have ties to pharmaceutical companies as a result of their work in the field. I'm sure there's some government shenanigans involved as well but that's not necessarilly the main concern. Finding a way to keep qualified people involved without conflicts of interest is going to be difficult.
1
He's not going to mention something that didn't happen. The four states are legally sound in this. Texas's case will be dismissed tomorrow.
1
Only fortified structure left in the city pretty much. That combined with Russia sending civilians to Russia against their will, closing humanitarian evacuation routes whenever people tried to use them, and what went down in Crimea in the past, the civilians have no reason to trust the Russians. Might as well go where there's at least some defense left.
1
A trafficker of underage girls was obviously needed given the character of his administration. Plus, Gaetz is easily blackmailable into doing the master's bidding.
1
Avoidable cases means unnecessary opportunities for variants to occur and there's no guarantee that current vaccines will protect against new variants. Also, unlike colds and flues which originated long before we had the knowledge and technology to fight them (leading to too many variants existing by the time we did,) we have a chance to eradicate this one if we can keep the number of variants low long enough.
1
When the attempt makes it beyond the level of a 10yo...

At the end of this flu season, look at the difference in numbers of cases and fatality rate from the flu's past averages. Increase the covid 19 numbers to account for that percentage difference and you'll have a decent idea of how bad it could have been.
1
He would remain Vice President. The 25th amendment doesn't actually remove the President from office. It just transfers all of their powers to the VP. The President remains President and can continue to reside in the White House until their term ends if they want to.
1
Statistically it's still at least five times deadlier than the flu and far more contagious even after you account for test accuracy. Also, that's compared to data from flu seasons where we didn't have drastic safety precautions in place. This season's flu numbers are likely to be far lower than usual.
1
@jerrygereden Your point? We'll survive. China's screwed.
1
Unemployment has increased. The administration has been fudging their job numbers by 20% each month and then quietly going back and changing them. Yet they never make the adjustment to the unemployment rate when they do. The real job number for May is likely more like 111,000.
1
As long as the mandates only apply to those who voluntarily choose to leave their homes and enter the public domain, SCOTUS will have a hard time finding a legitimate Constitutional argument against them. Any mandates that require everyone to be vaccinated regardless of their situation, could be defeated but so far the mandates don't have such requirements.
1
@Michael Langdon The southern states who were forced at gunpoint to remain in the agreement formed by the Constitution despite it clearly being detrimental to their best economic and political interests at the time might disagree with you on that...
1
@johngalt1967 The 10th amendment simply means that something is a state issue unless/until the federal Constitution assigns some aspect of involvement with it to the US Congress. In other words, things are a state issue unless/until Congress decides (via legislation) that some/all aspect(s) of it isn't.
1
The state legislatures made the changes. Also, the courts have always ruled very broadly when it comes to state election laws. For Texas' case to even remotely have a chance, the court would need to greatly tighten up their interpretations. I don't see it happening.
1
If he ends up having to accept anything other than full reparations from Russia for the damage they've done, NATO should be dissolved. It's apparent that it's members are not interested in doing anything of any use and thus should no longer be funded. It's good for Biden that he chose a less than competent VP. Otherwise he should go too. His handling of this has been a shame and a disgrace to the country.
1
SCOTUS just wanted the four states to have time to properly tell Texas et al to go eff themselves before dismissing it.
1
If we're not going to directly provide air defense in Ukraine where it's badly needed, why are we shooting down missiles for Israel. Netanyahu says they got this, let him got this...on his own.
1
As it currently stands, Biden has the 270. There's still a good bit to go though.
1
Nothing of the sort has been proven. That's just some of Patrick Lancaster's garbage propoganda. He's been on Moscow's payroll for years.
1
Civilians didn't want to go. Given Russia's track record when it comes to such things, many simply can't trust them.
1
There's no federal law prohibiting them and they're only banned in California, Massachusetts, New York, and Washington DC. He may have just looked at federal law without bothering to check Washington DC's "state" law.
1
It's shaky at best and old /outdated. I doubt SCOTUS will see this as being strongly supported enough to make it a modern test.
1
Enjoy your rubles.
1
@weldonyoung1013 Or they could just bring in some high pressure water hoses and firefighting tugs if available and erode away the sand that's holding the ship.
1
Good luck with that.
1
@TheUballe It was well written gramatically...weaksauce on the argument though.
1
@dmdeal7562 So the $8/hr will see their income increase by 87.5% while the $20/hr would only see a 35% increase.
1
That's fair. But you forfeit the right to cry/complain if you get fired from your job or prevented from entering public areas...
1
@E B TX, CA, and NY aren't even close to being done with their counting. TX is somewhere in the 80% reporting range. CA and NY haven't hit 70% yet. They have however (like many non swing states), done enough to mathematically rule out all but one candidate. Also, it depends on what method of voting is used. Computerized votes are easily countable. Mail in and other types can take forever to do manually. They probably started with the easy votes and are now having to do it by hand due to all the mail in ballots etc.
1
@monicas927 The precincts are not equally populated. Many states can rule out all but one candidate mathematically if they do the larger precincts first. Essentially you can reach a point that even if all the ballots from remaining precincts are for one person, they still couldn't take the lead.
1
You mean the bot ratio?
1
Just call his bluff... or better yet raise the pot. We can field an army three times larger than he can (and that's before you include help from NATO etc.) If he wants a guarantee, then guarantee him that if he continues his pathetic attention seeking behavior, he will be spanked.
1
@InnerSun777 Wow... I knew anti vaxxers were morons but you take the cake... Congratulations on somehow managing to not wonder out into oncoming traffic yet.
1
Neither faction has any reason to listen to the US regardless of who's in charge. Even less to listen to Trump since his party are the staunchest supporters of giving Israel anything they want, no questions asked.
1
Because he's almost broke.
1
Kind of hard to miss considering it was the only fortified structure still standing...
