Considering that Russia have been caught shipping civilians off to Russia against their will, closing evacuation routes when groups try to take them, and the high number of rapes committed by Russian troops etc. I doubt they were keeping them from leaving. The civilians have no reason to trust the Russians.
1
Civilians don't want to. Russia's been caught shipping civilians to Russia against their will, closing evacuation routes when people actually try to use them, and there've been so many rapes by Russian troops that refugee camps ran out of "plan b" pills quite awhile ago.

No evidence presented in court and properly vetted and no court testimony under oath offered that comes close to supporting the claims.

More like 50%.

It helps to read the Constitution as well. Nothing the four states did was unconstititional.

@hillerm I don't know... it's kinda cute that Xi thinks we care about his desperate attempts to make China appear relevant when their situation is magnitudes worse than ours thanks to his incompetent leadership.

Trump's decision to actively discourage mail in voting led to the two vote types being highly polarized. If you compare Trump's numbers from the in person vote you'll find it heavilly biased in his favor. (In PA for example Trump had over 80% of his total votes come from in person voting as opposed to Biden's ~41%. It was ~18% to ~58% in the mail in however.) The same decision also explains Biden's numbers. Trump missed out on the demographic of people who would vote for him if it didn't involve doing so in person. They heard their candidate telling people not to vote by mail so they didn't vote period. While Biden picked up the votes from the left leaning side of the demographic and likely moderates as well. The Libertarian candidate also syphoned off more votes from Trump than the Green Party did from Biden.

@issamood4177 15k is ~0.00045% of our total population...

Unfortunately, it would not have been strategically sound to attempt a rescue.
1
Russia has already lost the war. Like Hitler did when it was obvious Germany was going to lose, Comrade Putin is simply resorting to spiteful destruction of infrastructure and the intentional targeting of civilians because, with the ground war lost and his military utterly humiliated, it's all he can do.

@jenningsmills5398 Joe's are posted on his campaign's website. Hunter's are none of our business.

People have been easily climbing over/tunneling under it pretty much since they started building it. Completing it won't change that The border is simply too large to patrol for a reasonable cost. We're going to have to find a better approach.
1
Regardless. The people he's replacing them with aren't qualified and pose a risk to national security.
1
Not strategically sound unfortunately. If they ultimately lose the war it won't matter. If they win, they'll have their own "Alamo." To attempt a rescue in Mariupol would have been very costly and they still have Odesa and the Donbas region to deal with.
1
Good thing SCOTUS will be dismissing it soon then.
1
SCOTUS has actually had a few chances to address the constitutionality of some of those changes and didn't seem to find anything wrong. I seriously doubt that's going to change.
1
Doubtful. He's already lost one SCOTUS case pertaining to the matter.

Suicide rates would skyrocket...

The states have not broken any constitutional laws be it federal or their own. Pretty much any legal expert capable of pushing their political bias aside for a bit will tell you this is just a hopeless hail Mary attempt with no real chance of being taken seriously by the court. It will likely be in a SCOTUS trash can sometime tomorrow.
1
They're working on mail in ballots now which takes forever. It bumped up so noticeably because more Democratic voters chose to mail in their ballots (2:1 by some estimates.) There's a strong chance that anything currently within a few % of Trump's votes will overtake him by the time mail ins have all been processed.
1
A M Their state election laws allowed them to start counting before election day. The ones running behind like Pennsylvania and Wisconsin weren't allowed to start counting until election day. For example, Florida had 750k to process in 2 weeks. Pennsylvania had 350k that they started on election day.
1
Social media rumors and unvetted affidavits are not evidence. The only actual evidence that's been presented in court is of the usual petty frauds and irregularities found in every election.
1
There are various departments within the Executive Branch which have powers (under the existing laws governing said departments) related to the handling of public health/safety. There is actually a possibility that the methods used by those departments to enforce the President's directive are legitimate (Mandates like Executive Orders are simply directives from POTUS to various departments of the executive branch to use the powers granted them by law to acheive a particular goal.) The fact that SCOTUS is meeting to discuss it means they're doing their jobs.
1
Because a great deal of their most experienced staff got driven off / fired by Trump for refusing to support his handling of things. Much of the current staff essentially amounts to noobs. Hence the reason they have been in chaos the whole year.
1
Remind them to not let the door hit them in the ass on the way out...
1
Trump's executive order making social media liable for content posted by users didn't bother the stock much. I doubt changes to 230 will either. Though the tech bubble in general will pop eventually.
1
Russia's also been caught shipping civilians off to Russia, closing evacuation routes when people try to use them, and the number of rapes committed by Russian Troops is staggering. Combined with what went down in Crimea and the civilians have no reason to trust the Russians.
1
You're in for some major disappointment if you actually believe that.
1
Things like it doesn't matter how big the mob gets, no case is no case.
1
The PA suit included the same and SCOTUS essentially tossed it without tossing it (if they had plans to hear it while still relevant to the election outcome, they would have granted an injunction until doing so.) This just a shameless hail Mary with no hope of being seriously considered.
