The air power deployed for the Kosovo campaign would be enough to wreck Russia,never mind what was deployed in Vietnam and GW1. This type of campaign is what we train regular for,a target rich environment. With mechanised forces suported by an extensive logistical tail. Russia's struggling against an army with little numbers in both airpower,logistics and numbers of modern equipment,imagine what would happen going against a full NATO strike package,mechanised force supported by AH64s etc. The mind boggles that Russians think it would be the same result.

  3.  @louise_rose  actually its something we train for regular,hence why the west have far more flying hours & training budgets than their equivalent Russians. You should read some credible aviation sources in regards to this rather than getting your info from the hindustan times.
