What a kind, intelligent, generous and forward thinking couple! I would have liked to have been their friend. And their beautiful home truly reflected their attitudes as well.

Very interesting and educational video! I learned a lot today about the Vanderbilt family and their houses! Biltmore Mansion is still standing, and still visited by many tourists today. It would have been one of the places I would have liked to see.

This kind of child slavery still continues today in India, Asia, and the Middle East. What an awful way to treat the workers at these woolen mills. Thank you for this most interesting and educational video.

My father would have liked these homes because of the top quality woodwork, and masonry. However I don't think he would have liked the over decorating in terms of the furniture, and potted plants, which he considered to be too ostentatious and fussy. Both he and I love books, so the library would be our favorite place. Thank you again for your excellent work.

What an amazing woman! Nothing like determination, patience and hard work to make a decent life. Beautiful house

Very interesting house! One would never get bored looking at all the extensive antique pieces that are placed so well within the different styles of rooms. I like it!
13
My favorite home. I'm sorry about the sad part of the descendants losing their money because of poor money management and education. I hope this house will get saved for future people to enjoy.
12
What an amazing house! And also what an amazing lady Daisy was!!! 😍
11
Now this is my kind of man, and also the same for his beautiful house. His integrity, innovative mind, generosity and kindness, and also very good taste is the sort of things that truly appeal to me. Thank you again 💓 💖 💗

I was left absolutely gobsmacked by the sheer size of this particular mansion 😮!!! Thank you again for yet another great video!

The Frick house was my favorite, and also the Hewlett house. I am very pleased that they have been preserved for the future generations. I couldn't help being reminded of the song from "Annie, Get Your Gun," the one that says "Anything you can do, I can do better......" I hope you understand. Thank you again.

My late father would be been absolutely delighted by this house. He loved medieval houses, and was very good working with wood, copper and wrought iron. Personally I thought this house was a very interesting and quirky place, in a beautiful place. 😍
10
Quite frankly, the love of money is the root cause of all kinds of evil. My parents taught me to manage my money very carefully, I am very grateful for that. Thank you.
10
I preferred the Beechwood mansion, restrained, and classic design.
10
I loved the woodwork and the stained glass windows, just so very beautiful and stunning! And also the rooms were beautiful in their own way 😍 ❤️ 💕 😊 💖

My favorite mansion of the USA so far. I thought this particular house was actually very beautiful, and well thought out and designed to eventually allow the public to enjoy the gobsmackedly amazing art collection. This video, and also other videos, allow me to see the USA, and it's best features, from my home in Auckland City, New Zealand. Thank you for your excellent work 👏 👍 😀

And the grand staircase! Wonderful piece of woodwork.

I'm deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Leland and his wife's only son from typhoid, and also the suspicious death of his wife many years later. No amount of money is enough to protect one from the realities of living and dying.

Another fascinating history lesson on the great houses of the USA 🇺🇸 👍 😀
7
This particular house is the victim of so called progress in the US of America!!! Really?! Thank you for this most interesting and educational video!
7
I am gobsmacked by this story!!! I love the beautiful stained glass overhead window!!! Thank you again. 😊
6
One of the better houses in the United States, and very pleasant to see, both inside and outside too.
6
I totally agree with you regarding having one's wife declared insane just so you can marry your mistress. Not kind or nice. I'd have been devastated if something like that happened to me.
6
A very beautiful and palatial house and gardens. Mr Ringling and his wife Mabel had very good taste in interior design for that particular time. I am pleased that the public saw fit to save this house and gardens 😀
6
Complete and utter tragedy 😢 😔 💔

Beautiful house

Thank you for this most interesting and educational video about this man behind the Pulitzer Prize. I now completely understand how this Prize came into existence. Thank you again, and also well done indeed to you for your excellent work 👏

It's called being capricious and petty.

What can I say? Marion was a woman who was used and abused by Randolph Hearst, and then fell into alcoholism, and ended up being used and abused by her second husband. Poor woman!!!

My father who was very interested in architecture, art, design etc, liked Frank Lloyd Wright's house designs, especially the Falling Water house in Pennsylvania. I found his houses on Pinterest and I was very interested, and I have been collecting as many photos as possible on my Pinterest account. He was a very good architect, but he was also very difficult to work with. But his houses, and buildings were designed to last many years, if not centuries.
5
One of my most favorite places ever!!! I have always been fascinated by this particular house for a very long time!!! You have educated me more than I expected regarding this house!!! Well done indeed!!! Thank you 😊 💓 ☺️
5
I much prefer this house, modest and designed to be people and pet friendly. Nothing wrong with being humble and loving towards God and your fellow man. I do not like it when people show off their wealth and power. I much prefer that people help others quietly and with unconditional love ❤️.
4
I am so pleased that a good number of these houses were able to be reused for other purposes!
4
Brilliantly designed and decorated house, and not too big either. I am very pleased that this house has been preserved so well. 😀
4
This particular video talks about the Farnsworth House, which has been one of few modern houses that I have actually liked enough to take more than a passing interest in. I personally think it's beautiful in its own way, but I also think it has been badly located, but I understand that it would be too difficult and expensive to relocate. Thank you again for your excellent work again 👏
4
This particular man is the sort of person that I would like to be friends with, simply because of his generosity and mostly good business sense. Personally I found the inside of the house a little too much for me. The outside is very much my style. 😊
4
Delightful and yet a very Mishmash combination of different English manor houses. 😊
4
Dare I say it, depending on how close this particular mansion is to suburban areas, I suggest that this mansion be carefully and thoughtfully divided into around 33 apartments, and then each apartment sold to the local people. I am just being honest and practical.
4
Absolutely beautiful and enormous manor! My favorite rooms were the music room, and also the two bedrooms. One could take a very very long time exploring this particular place. Complete with a GPS system to help you find your way around this place and the gardens 😀
4
I have seen this particular house in magazines, but when I saw a short film on this house, at a film festival, I was completely fascinated by the way it was designed and built. Especially when it was built in a absolutely beautiful place. But I had no idea that it had issues with the structural integrity and strength of the framework. I am not surprised, as Frank Lloyd Wright could be quite careless regarding good quality architectural design. He could also be frequently a very difficult person to work with, regarding his clients and colleagues and students. Despite his immense talent.
4
Absolutely stunning home and especially the gardens and orchards! A very great pity about Maud dying of pneumonia, leaving her parents totally bereft. But I do have concerns regarding the structural integrity of the house, should a very strong earthquake happen in this particular area. I advise all people to enjoy the house while it is still possible to do so.
4
The staircase was my favorite part of this beautiful house. 😍
4
Now I know how Highclere Castle came about! Very different from what I had imagined! Very beautiful house and gardens.
4
This house is very much my style and decor for practical reasons as I have a disability.

Thank you for this most interesting and educational video regarding Mar-A-Lago. I knew there was some history regarding this mansion, but I never did quite understand, or know how this came about. Very interesting, and enlightening. I'd like to know what would happen to the mansion after Donald Trump dies. Like does it get passed on to Melania Trump, or his children Donald Trump Jr, Eric, Ivana, Tiffany and Barron? Thank you again. 😊
3
I remember as a child watching the TV shows about Daniel Boone, and being absolutely fascinated by this man and his country. Thank you for this most interesting and educational video. I learned a lot today about Daniel Boone!
3
Gobsmackedly beautiful house and gardens! I could quite easily live in this particular house. However, having said that, I do understand that conflicts regarding money are one of the most common causes of marriage breakdowns. I firmly believe that couples who want to get married should throughly discuss all aspects of their lives and expectations before tying the knot 🪢 🤔.
3
I seriously wonder if he had dyslexia, or another learning disability. But some people are just not easily motivated, laid back to the point of being horizontal. I love the house though, except for the green wallpaper on the dining room. It actually made me feel ill. But the hallway was just so beautiful. Thank you again for yet another interesting video. 😊
3
Hideous house with a tragic history. 😥
3
Beautiful house, but however I would have used it for community service, not just for myself. Personally I think it's a great pity that rich people can be so extravagant and selfish. Nothing wrong with being humble, loving, and generous towards your fellow men and women.
