  3.  @toonertik  A Russian soldier’s call was intercepted explaining how Russia was behind the killings of the prisoners. Furthermore, no Russian soldiers or guards were killed, which is very peculiar considering they were supposed to be watching over the prisoners. In addition, prisoners are supposed to be held near the rear of the battlefield, not the front lines. Russia also won’t allow the Red Cross to inspect the site. Kind of reminds you of when Russia was trying to help cover up Assad’s use of chemical weapons on innocent people. And seriously, when has Russia ever been honest? All it does is tell one lie after another. From the very beginning going back to the invasion of Crimea Russia has lied. You don’t have to be a gullible fool to believe anything it says.

  4.  @damianketcham  For sure. I can tell you that today’s younger generation in the US has more of a mindset like the U.S. had pre-WWI. That was a time when the US thought WWI was Europe’s problem and that the US shouldn’t interfere. The US was more isolationist back then, and it didn’t try to police the whole world. This war in Ukraine is a wake up call to the European nations to spend more of their GNP on defense.

In fact, the Ukrainian people had positive views of Russia until Russia invaded and took Crimea in 2014. There is no way that the USA would agree to provide protection or support at that time.

Depends on the kind of car you like. Ultra high performance I’d go Italian. I do like German sedans, however the BMW that I owned was always in the shop, it cost me an arm and a leg to fix. I’m a truck guy who does a lot of ranch work so my preference there are American trucks.

  29. The planes sitting at the Graveyard in Tucson, Arizona would require some major upgrades. It would cost a lot more than 250 million dollars. It’s not a fast process to get them air worthy again, either. These aircraft are the old of the old models, which are frequently just broken down for spare parts and scrap metal.

In some states the immigrants are just let go free in the middle of a parking lot. They have no money, no job, no housing, so committing crimes is their only way to survive. It’s also the left that don’t support military spending, but would rather spend it on the LGTBQ community of crazies. I am a conservative, but yet I strongly support Ukraine.   32.  @oleksandrbespalov9713 What most people don’t know is that Ukraine didn’t even have control of the nukes, nor did it want them. At that time it didn’t have the resources or money to properly maintain them. Some Ukrainian politicians also feared another Chernobyl disaster. Many people also don’t know that the US also helped Russia dispose of tons of plutonium that once fueled thousands of their nuclear weapons. It was an agreement that lasted for 22 years before Putin discontinued it in 2016.

  33. What you don’t mention is that the fellow NATO members sent token forces to help, and that the US did the significant majority of the battles, and paid nearly 2.3,trillion in Afghanistan. No other country comes anywhere close. Furthermore, ISIS and Al Qaeda aren’t just a US problem, but a problem for all western nations. And don’t forget that it was NATO members that pressured the U.S. to help fight against Libya. The war in Serbia was also a war where fellow NATO members asked the U.S. to join. It was the correct action to take to stop the atrocities, but the United States has been there for its allies. It should also be pointed out that the U.S. advised its allies to significantly increase their defense spending, only to watch them do the opposite.

Russia’s total military budget in 2022 was $75 billion, which is for its entire budget for all purposes. In 2023 it was $84 billion. Much of the US aid is to help replenish US stockpiles. European countries need to step up a lot more. It’s their security that is most at risk. European countries need to be sending troops for support positions so that Ukraine can focus its on the front lines. Some countries have talked about it, but none have actually gone through with it.

From what I’ve read and watched, people often traveled to and from each other’s place, with relatives and friends often in both countries. Russians often had a more negative view, especially when Ukraine voiced wanting to join the EU and NATO. The Ukrainian people really turned after 2014.

They aren’t some magic bullet that can withstand land mines, and just 31 of them won’t have any impact. Ukraine needs to find a way to get behind Russia’s defenses and create havoc for them. This head-on approach isn’t working other than killing lots of people.

  40. Putin is behaving like a big baby by making threats, and now karma is striking it back. Honestly, Putin has nothing to worry about from NATO, unless it plans to attack a NATO member. No nations have been forced to join NATO, and NATO isn’t attacking countries in order to conquer territory. Russia’s aggression is only further swaying countries to distance themselves from Russia. If Russia wants allies, it needs to get them by being friendly, not threatening them.

I’ll tell you right now that the majority of the American public supports helping Ukraine, but if there was an expectation for the US to commit as much as Estonia is that support would quickly disappear.

  45.  @JamesGillis-m2i I think you’re referring to someone else’s first comment. I didn’t say anything about being proud. Regardless, this agreement is a partnership. Both countries will be working together that will benefit both countries. Everything you said in your second paragraph is Trump, not the US. Most of the US wants to help Ukraine. Yes, he’s the President, but he says a lot of things that he shouldn’t. The US was the first country to supply Ukraine with lethal arms, and Trump was the actually the person who actually did it. The US is also the country that has provided by far the most aid, and its intel has been invaluable. Without US support Ukraine most likely would have already lost by now. The US could have turned a blind eye and not helped at all. But instead it’s made a huge commitment, and it’s signed an agreement with Ukraine where both countries will work together. It’s a true partnership no matter how much you might dislike the U.S.

Again , how is this not a partnership?

As Russia continues its brutal attacks against civilians the number of Americans who want to help Ukraine will go up even more. There was also an article done by Newsweek titled “Most Americans Don’t Agree with Donald Trump About Ukraine.” Hopefully Trump will catch a clue and do his job right, which is supposed to support the will of the people.
