I’ve seen HIMARS destroying numerous Russian targets; Patriot missiles shooting down Russian aircraft missiles; US javelins destroying Russian tanks and armored vehicles; US mines decimating Russian armored vehicles; etc. it’s gotten so bad for Russia that Russia is using donkeys and bicycles on the front. Yeah, that’s really impressive for what Russia thought at one time was the world’s best army.

  6. @ Russian officer’s calls have been intercepted where they told others that the war would only lead three days. Captured prisoners from the earlier days of the war also said the same thing. Even the Russian media on several occasions said that Russia would win in three days.

Even the TOR air defense system has been shown launching missiles and missing the drones. Russia’s air defense systems have shown to be very vulnerable, failing repeatedly to protect strategic targets.

It happened many times, not just once, with sometimes the Russian officer being identified. There are also interviews of Russian prisoners saying they were told at the beginning it would last at most a week. The real question is how can you be so brainwashed to believe the Russian media after it’s lied so much?

There are also Russian prisoners who said they were told the same. The Russian media, which is an extension of the government also said the war would last at most three days. Do you remember the first days of the war when Russian soldiers had very few supplies and were looting Ukrainian grocery stores for food and water? They weren’t prepared at all for a sustained conflict. You really can’t be this ignorant.

  13. That’s not true. Many are rookies. Watch the video F-22 Undefeated at Al Dhafra and the American pilot will mention how they are all newbies with less than 100 hours behind the stick. The same goes for the F-35. Just looking at them it seems like many barely even graduated from HS.

It’s hilarious how you Russian trolls are so gullible to believe anything that talks highly of Russia even when it’s obviously a lie. If the Su-57 was any good and did all the things that Russia claims it can do, Russia would be showcasing its abilities in Ukraine. Instead Russia keeps it as far away from the front lines as much as possible. For instance, look at how well the Patriot and HIMARS have performed. It’s resulted in a huge backlog of orders for them.

Go to The Ready Room Channel and you will hear from an F-18C pilot who has gone up and the F-22 in exercises why the F-22 is absolutely dominant.

  24. Why don’t you take your own advice and actually compare the YF-22 to the T-50? You won’t find protruding rivets or large gaps in the seams or poor welds on the F-22. These are all features that the Chinese actually made fun of. To this very day you still haven’t seen the Su-57 shoot an air to air missile from an internal bay, or even shoot its guns in flight. There is a fake release of an air to air missile shot, but other than it nothing from an internal bay has been shown (at least to my knowledge, and I monitor several defense forum sites)I’d like to see the Su-57 shooting a missile from an internal bay flying inverted like the F-22 has shown. These are essential needs for dogfighting. Plus, the F-22 first flew in 1997, and in 2005 it was fully operational. The PAK-FA (T-50/Su-57) first flew in 2010 January, and it wasn’t fully operational until 2020 December. Even though the F-22 has been in service for 15 years longer, Russia to date still has not made an aircraft that matches the F-22’s power, stealth, radars, situational awareness, sensor fusion or stealth.

Just an example is the F-35 numbers compared to the Su-57. Over 1,100 F-35s have been built, while only 32 Su-57s have been built. Plus, Russia is involved in a very expensive war right now. You’re trying to compare apples to oranges.

  29. Russia still to this very day has not shown the Su-57 shooting missiles from internal bays or even shooting its guns in flight. He explained why it’s difficult. If the Su-57 could, Russia would show it. The fact that Russia doesn’t even use the Su-57 over Ukraine is very revealing. And Russia claims many things, and they are very often not true.

On the other hand, nobody is even interested in the Su-57, and Russia’s only partner and ally India backed out of the partnership after citing numerous problems.Even though the F-22 first flew almost 25 years ago, Russia to date still hasn’t built a fighter that can match its power, stealth, radars, situational awareness, sensor fusion, or agility. And sorry, but the Su going low and slow performing low g maneuvers won’t cut it in real combat.

  31.  @bariole  Liar. Russia’s attempts to build comparable engines to the F-22 have been futile. The Su-57 has many significant issues, which is why the Indians left the partnership to develop it. Russia has made several attempts to have India rejoin the partnership, but India has not shown any interest. One of the Indians concerns was with its engines, and we’ve all grown accustomed to Russia’s boasting about its militaries capabilities, only to find out later that the claims are just hot air. Look at Russia’s Su-35 and Su-34 as examples. In Ukraine, a crashed Su-34 had a GPS locator taped onto it because its own internal navigation systems were poorly designed. And look at how in recent exercises in both China and Egypt where the Su-35’s antiquated PESA radar was easily jammed leaving the pilot blind. These poor outings led both Algeria and Egypt to cancel their reminding orders for them. The fact that Russia can’t even gain air superiority over Ukraine, a nation with a very small and outdated Air Force further demonstrates that Russia ms fighters are not cracked up to what Russia claims them to be.

  34. No it doesn’t. One of the main reasons why India left the partnership to develop the Su-57 was because of its poor engines. The F-22’s engines can create 70,000 lbs of thrust. Russia has nothing near that kind of power. Why is it that all you Russian trolls can do is lie? Doesn’t being honest and having credibility mean anything to you? Obviously not.

  37. I don’t agree. You’re essentially saying that air superiority isn’t worth it, which is blatantly wrong. If Russia could have air superiority it would. It would help shut down a large part of the effectiveness of the Ukrainian military. And so far Russia’s SEAD abilities haven’t been all that impressive. We’re now around two months into the war, and Ukraine is still flying sorties of all types, helos, fighters, drones, etc. Russia hasn’t taken control because it’s Air Force is a paper tiger.

It would be like how the U.S. and Israel have both flown deep strikes into Syria, and Israel into Iran taking out its S-300s with its F-35s. Instead they aren’t flying anywhere near contested air space. If they were truly stealth aircraft they would have more air to air kills, they’d control the skies, they would be taking out F-16s at airbases, HIMARS launchers, Patriot batteries, etc. You see just one video of a Su-57 shooting down its own drone and you presume Russia has them flying all over Ukraine. Did you think it’s because Ukraine has a very limited number of SAMs and not enough to monitor their entire air space? You’ve seen Zelensky begging for more air defense systems. Facts are the Su-57 has a huge RCS. It’s one of the main reasons why India backed out of the partnership to develop them with Russia.

Those US weapons are what has helped drag this war out from what Russia thought would only last three days to now over three years. The US HIMARS, Patriot missiles, javelins, etc., have helped Ukraine defend its territory. The US provided less than 4% of its annual defense budget to Ukraine, and even with such a smaller amount Russia has suffered huge losses. Russia’s military’s is now mocked as being the second best not only in Ukraine and but in Russia.

See below. - L-band radar, while effective for long-range surveillance, has disadvantages including lower angular accuracy, and potential for interference from other radio services. - L-band frequencies are more susceptible to clutter from rain and other environmental factors. - L-band have historically had poor angular accuracy, which can make it difficult to precisely track targets. L-band is not as effective at detecting small or LO targets as well as higher frequency radar. - L-band frequencies are used by various radio services, including satellite communications and mobile phones, which can lead to interference with radar signals. Strong out-of-band signals can cause interference problems in the front end of a receiver, especially with software-defined radios.

Russia’s army is literally using donkeys, bicycles, scooters, etc. on the front. Russia’s so called hypersonic missiles that according to Putin were unstoppable, have been stopped numerous times by Patriots. Russia’s sales of military equipment have drastically gone down for two reasons: 1. Russia needs them for the war. 2. Countries aren’t impressed with Russia’s equipment as shown in the war.

One of Russia’s biggest problems is building high tech equipment on mass scale efficiently, and AESA is an example. Russia has nothing to take out the F-22 or F-35 at BVR. You’re not even using common sense. If very powerful SAM sites have had difficulty even detecting them, a missile’s very small and less powerful seeker head isn’t going to be able to detect, track and lock onto either aircraft. In exercises against the F-22 pilots have even had difficulty getting a lock in visual range.
