It is just an Anglo perspective from a Puritan society with heaps of hangups.

He was pandering to the group he wants to attract.

Cats were a cheap way of making a mummified offering, you didn't have to hunt for them like Baboons or Crocodiles.
10
Well being a warrior means fighting and being violent. It is not flower arranging.
7
I am triggered by it as well. I usually stop viewing Youtube videos when that censorship happens.
7
Enricher? I am Australian but born in Malta, and I tell you there were quite a lot of names for immigrants especially Italians, but none was enricher.
6
He's good at mixing things with some validity with BS. He is one snake oil vendor.
5
Hancock relies on people like you. You have done him proud.

Egypt is a transcontinental country and alway has been. How many battles did they fight in the Middle East? Why did they care if the Hittites wanted their territory in the Middle East? Being so African, they didn't give a shit about Nubia except for the gold, or Punt for its spices and woods.
4
So the Black African man was Persian? I didn't see the film, not my thing, the butchery of history.
4
A person who looks European White can have 15% sub Saharan ancestry. You cannot tell someone's ancestry just by their looks. If you can believe what is written about Sally Hemings and her white slave owner father of her children, her children looked European.
4
I don't know either personally. This is my view, Joe Rogan is a working class man with little education, but he wants to know things to learn and that makes him open to people like Hancock. Lex Friedman want to start a discourse with the people who create some sort of notoriety or write challenging books or provide alternate answers.
4
It's kind of strange since European Mediterranean people eat a lot of fish and seafood.
4
Australian Aborigines and Pacific Islanders call themselves black, and living in Australia some of the Aborigines are as dark as the darkest black Africans, the Sudanese. When I hear Black I think of Australian Aborigines not Americans or Africans or South Indians.
4
Because then they are no longer secrets.
4
An epitaph is written on the gravestone of the grave where the person was buried. A cenotaph is a dedication to a deceased person who is buried elsewhere or whose body was lost.
4
It doesn't matter. Christianity, or its modern perversions, is here, and quite popular. Something must of happened in the past to get it to snowball. Obviously it wasn't Jesus. I am sure he would be out there saying Christianity is a mockery of what he said and wanted.
3
They think what they say is the truth.
3
Well, there are no Anglo Saxons still around, but if they still were, then yes it's okay to be Anglo Saxon. What we should do is reverse the Old English thing and call it Anglo Saxon again.
3
It doesn't have to face the constellation of Leo. You can put up a Lion stature anywhere, or make a golden statue of a bull in the deserts of Sinai.
3
It sounds good for a pirate. Star Wars is using that accent for the Skeleton Crew pirates.
3
So why the inner chambers, the sarcophagi. A lot of trouble for nothing.
3
I guess it is the same about Hannibal who was of Berber and Levantine origin, and even Cleopatra who ruled Egypt, so she had to be a black African.
3
Well, we just have what others had to say about Roman religion, and its importance. What if it is all hooey. Religion was just some tradition one did in Rome, like crossing the Ts and dotting the Is. Most people are Christians because they were trained to be Christians, there is no thought it in, just rote learning.
3
As long as he didn't say Pompi.
3
In Australia Black means Australian Aborigine and Torres Strait Islanders. However in most of the world it means West African Blacks from Nigeria and Ghana.
3
I do like those old cars with their running boards.
3
It is up to them. Look at some famous artists, they have their phases. They change and evolve. So the Egyptians decorated, added hieroglyphics and then didn't. I sometimes go for a walk soon after I wake, and other times in the afternoon, sometimes I will have a favorite food, then it changes to another.
3
How do you know? How old are you?
3
I think his description of that chamber being claustrophobic and clambering on hands and knees, is jus to frighten us from going there and seeing for yourselves.

Look, I have seen a lot of dna results of North Africans and Egyptians. They do have sub Saharan ancestry, in Mozabites it's about 25%. It matters not to me, but you can expect racists to make a big deal about it. European Americans who are from the South also have sub Saharan ancestry in low percentages. Whenever people of different origins are close to each other, they will mix.
2
I think it's about the terrain of Greece being rocky, hilly with limited arable land. The sea is quite bountiful.
2
There were Punics in Sardinia. The remains of these Punics have a lot of North African ancestry, but mixed with European ancestry. They weren't particularly Middle Eastern.
2
No, eventually thinking people will move to places where rational thinking prevails.
2
He is plausible, and knows how to win an audience. He is also entitled to believe in fairies at the bottom of his garden, the ones with wings.
2
It is capitalism, making money by any means is the rule. Truth, morality and ethics goes into the trash can. I am not knocking capitalism as it is the way the world progresses materially and provides a good life for many.
2
The Egyptians probably had levers and pulleys.
2
Happens in sleeping bags too, the freezing of moisture.
2
They are not elites, just people with a good education and opportunities to pursue their training. Yes, being fired, being banned from employment in your field and being lambasted does make many afraid.
2
What about the parents of the boy?
2
You know why they chose that Deinonychus? Because it was macho, not like the real Velociraptor.
2
@NotanEmpire A learned gentleman, what an archaic phrase. It's the 21st century, and there are no gentlemen or ladies anymore. Caput.
2
What about the natural phenomenon of the rainbow? They totally ruined that.
2
There are so many statues, mummy casings, paintings.... let them look it up themselves.
2
The gee I am so tiny feeling. Yes, there is ego as well, and hubris.
2
Ethiopians are a stabilized ethnic group, I mean the common type of Ethiopians, Amhara etc. Being stabilized they can be assessed just as Ethiopian or NE African.
2
Yes, but why use enslaved when the person is a slave. Doesn't make sense.
2
A hard a?
2
I grew up in Australia when we used to use Fahrenheit scale, but I had no idea what 50 deg Fahrenheit meant. I would be quite fine just wearing a tee-shirt in snow at 50 deg Fahrenheit, it isn't snowing or slushy, but quite dry and a low wind day.
2
No, a fisher of men.
