So, even Rommel was in North Africa, the Nazis in Sicily, Greece... it's no big deal.

People use olive skin like it means something. There is a variation of skin tones everywhere even among Northern Europeans, Italians, Greeks and Spanish are different to the Northerners but they are not all the same identical color. Some people call the brown tone of Fitzgerald scale No. 4 olive, but it's brown.

I don't have a dog in this fight as I am Australian though born in Southern Europe. In Australia race isn't entered on every document from birth to tomb. My opinion is that there is a stereotype among Americans of what a European person looks like, frankly they have to look like Australians Liam Hemsworth or Cate Blanchett to be considered White Americans. The composite is okay considering the variety of phenotypes of White Americans.

Italian Jews are much the same as other European Jews like the Ashkenazi and Sephardi. Those European Jews have Italian female ancestry and male Levantine ancestry going back to the Iron Age Italy. The difference is that the Sephardi went to Iberia, the Ashkenazi to the Rhineland and the Italian Jews stayed in Rome and over time drifted apart.

I have been to Italy and North Africa. They don't look alike. You know in my town in Australia there are Italians from all over Italy, and various people from outside Europe, I don't have any difficulty picking them apart. You obviously have some difficulty as they all look the same to you. We have a lot of Indians here too, I don't like them at all.

In Italy the north is prosperous, the south much less so. The problem isn't about where Africa or Arabia starts in Italy, it's about the rich despising the poor, and exaggerating the differences between north and south in looks, which in my opinion is minimal.

I lived in an suburb full of Italians in Australia, and lived in Italy for some time, I see little difference north or south. I think in the USA, and Australia the coming of short, suntanned, dark haired and eyed people was shocking. Australians of old weren't Nordic Gods but they as a rule did not have dark hair, dark eyes, a non ruddy complexion and tanned slightly.
1
Italy? Go to Germany or Poland.
1
If you believe in blessings you believe in curses. It's just the other side of the coin. Italians are not that mixed, and it's not anything good or bad. The past is the past and should be forgotten. Live in the present.
1
I suggest you test with another dna company as your results are not credible.
1
Yes you are right. From my experience people who inherit no genetic markers from a specific ethnic group is because their parents' genetic markers for that ancestry was small.
1
I think Mr Rabbit is quite low brow. It is said that the IQ of Italians have decreased quite a lot since the Imperial Rome age, and Mr. Rabbit seems to prove that.
1
Why should you? You're a foreigner of mixed ancestry like most American Blacks.
1
North Africans all have sub Saharan ancestry, they are not wholly North African Berber. I suggest you test him again.
1
It's the same in most of Europe. Low birthrates, importation of foreigners to run health care, security, transportation... Why do you think Britain left the E.U? The foreigners moving to Britain from E.U countries not just Bulgarians and Romanians but Indians, East Asians, Negro Africans.. It got too much for the Brits who by nature are Xenophobes.
1
I don't believe you or the man is one Bullshit artist. In Australia, looks of people say they are Italian, but they end up being Iranian or some other foreign nationality.
1
Actually light skinned African Americans claim Native American ancestry. Skin color and hair texture is not really an indicator of race, it's not dna evidence. The thing about Americans, Euro Americans that is, is that they look vaguely European but cannot be placed in any country in Europe. They don't look Irish, English, German. Swedish, Italian, Greek, Polish... they look too mongrelized to be anything.
1
North Africans are not Negroes. You know that, don't you? It is only dumb Americans who think everyone on the continent of Africa are Negroes. North Africans are not that dark, only the descendants of slaves called Haratins. I tell you what Haratin means, it means having skin the color of shit.

There are differences around the Mediterranean basin. Europeans are distinct, well usually, from those of the east Mediterranean, and definitely to those from the south Mediterranean. You don't have to be a racist to notice these differences. One thing about Italians is they are like lizards, sun lovers, and get quite brown. In other regions of the Mediterranean they take efforts to stay pale, out of the sun.
1
You are exaggerating. Italians tend to have Thalessemia, it is a similar blood disorder. It's due to an adaptation to the Malaria parasite. Sickle cell is mostly black African, African Americans are mongrels of mostly black African ancestry and some European, naturally they would have Sickle cell anemia. Hispanics are mongrels of Native American, European and black African. Italians have little or no Negro ancestry. You shouldn't exaggerate.
1
Yes, but as with European Australians, European Americans do not want to identify with their non American born ancestry and culture. It's their choice. I am 100% of my ethnic group, and I don't identify with it at all.
1
Being European is not just about dna, it's a deep engrained cultural thing. In Europe, you can say that Russians are genetically European but mentally they are in East Asia, which is one reason they don't get Democracy and transparency.
1
Your Wasps and Celts have a lot of Steppe ancestry which came into Europe in the last 4, 500 years. So whose more European? Blow ins from the Eurasian Steppes or people whose ancestors where in Italy in the Mesolithic or the Neolithic? The Brits and Irish come from people that lived not in Britain or Ireland but the Eurasian Steppes, they are immigrants who spread plague to the Neolithic farmers and the remnants of the hunter gatherers killing most of them off. Great ancestors they have.

If you want to learn about Italy, you won't find it on Youtube or some idiot professor.
1
Was he meant to be a Northerner or just a lighter Italian?
1
I seriously doubt your sanity. Take up parachuting without a parachute.
1
@mississippigod3938 Not really. French people are a central European people, and Italians are Mediterranean, their ancestry isn't quite comparable. I think the testing company the woman used must not be 23andMe or AncestryDNA because she wouldn't get such a weird result. People do get unexpected results due to adoption, IVF, NPE but I guess she knows she isn't in those categories.
1
@Tinoeditss I don't consider North Italians special and they don't cluster with French or Spanish people but other italians.
1
@erichamilton3373 From when I was at 23andMe, French and Germans were lumped into the same group. What was her main ethnic ancestry on 23andMe?
1
@Iskatel.Priklyucheniy True, but White Americans are of mixed European origins, they are not 100% anything.
