  1. As weird as this sounds, I feel like driving a manual definitely helps me stay more focused. Paying attention to the revs and trying to predict ahead the flow of traffic to determine what gear you should be makes me pay attention more. Also, parking lots are a big one. People running/cars jumping out are two big things to pay attention to.

  2. There’s something about these Aston Martins before they switched to their new design language. I think they’re so much prettier than the new cars. Plus the sound from the naturally aspirated engines is so much better!!

  3. One thing I love about the LFA sound is how nuanced it is depending on the RPM. Same thing goes for a GT3. It’s something that turbocharged engines will never be able to touch.

  4. A car with some soul. It’s so beautiful when Maserati actually tries with something. A 2009-2013 Quattroporte is one of my favorite cars. That’s a car I can stare at for hours, and that’s even before the engine is started.

  5. As accomplished as the modern V8 Ferrari models are, I don’t feel much for them because of the sound. V8 Ferrari sound peaked imo with the 458. On the other hand, I absolutely adore the 812 and the V12 Lusso. Sound-wise, nothing compares in today’s market. The Aventador sounds good too, but it doesn’t come close to the sophistication of the V12 Ferraris. And this shooting brake design just makes it so cool. The ultimate do everything type of car.

  10. Yeeeeessssss. These things are rocketships. I can say that the X3 M40i accomplishes 95% of what the M version does with a lower price and better ride. Very interesting color! Edit: the snow/rain falling in the intro shots was strangely comforting.

  12. I love the sound of the M54. The first time I drove an E46 was after I drove an F30, and it was ridiculous how much smaller and more tossable the E46 felt. Awesome car and video!!!

  13. Nice video, and what a unique car!! Haven’t driven an F10 M5, but I’ve driven several F10s. What I can say is they’re very distant as a driving experience. The E60 was very comfortable, but it still had that tied to the road feeling which is totally missing with the F10. I’m thinking it’s because of the massive weight gain, the EPS, and the platform sharing with larger, more expensive cars. Either way, I’d be very curious to try an F10 M5 out

  15. Wanna be a baller, shot caller, 20 inch blades on the Impala :)) I love these cars. The looks, the sound, and the reliability. It’s funny, I actually talked about liking this car so much with someone that knows my affinity for the E39, and that person simply stated that the proportions and looks are a LITTLE similar to the E39. Whether or not that’s true, I love the looks of this thing.

  16. I’ve always loved this generation of Vantage. Absolutely gorgeous design. I sat in one recently and it had such an interesting smell. Almost like an old airplane or something like that. I’d take one of these with a stick over the current gen Vantage 25 hours a day/9 days a week.

  25. Ahhh that V8 sounds so healthy! I’d recommend also trying the 3.0 Duramax. It’s incredible how great the fuel economy is (close to 30 mpg highway), and the sound is really nice. Pulls reasonably well too. From what I’ve been seeing, much more reliable than the 3.0 V6 diesel Dodge is using.

  26. Watching it again, I'm still getting goosebumps from that exhaust. What I really like about this is how you manage to show some of the *quirks and features*, but you mix it with POV driving and excellent audio. Kind of appeals to everyone. This'll be a hit for sure!!

  28. Wow, it seems so fast. I had to remind myself that the speedometer is in MPH and not KPH. And Car and Driver managed 27 mpg on their highway test. BMW still builds amazing engines, that’s for sure.

  31. Loved this one. It’s so cool how it doesn’t really matter what BMW engine you drive, you can immediately tell who makes it by the sound. What a proper spec! Also, body roll is never a bad thing if it’s not sloppy. It’s just another way for the car to communicate with you.

  33. Tons and tons of X7s around SE Michigan. I still don't like this car, but I can definitely respect how nice the interior is. I just wish that BMW would follow the Porsche model of business, where they build a ton of these SUVs but then they put that money back into visceral sports cars that are true to form. Other than the M2 (which is fantastic), I feel that BMW M just builds numbers cars nowadays :/ Not to mention the questionable reliability with their V8s. Before, you could put up with maintenance woes because the cars were truly special. Anyway, fantastic video and you did an awesome job showcasing the X7 :)

  37. Ahhhh, such a cool car. So refreshing to see how responsive the throttle response is and the lack of rev-hang compared to most new manuals. Also, absolute facts on the low rumble at idle with these BMW I6s. I love listening to the cold idle in my E90 for this exact reason. Much better than the racket of the idle in newer turbo 4 cylinders.

  42. I’d have this over a Maybach S Class any day of the week. It’s such a special car, and I love that even though there are some indications in the interior that VW owns them, it still is very much a traditional Bentley. Absolute baller of a car.

  48. Thanks for doing this video! N62 is such a gem of an engine (if it was taken care of). Can’t emphasize the oil change interval importance on this engine enough. It has an awesome powerband, sounds almost exotic when you open it up, and it’s so smooth. Pushes these cars down the road really well. Even if an N62 was neglected and it’s leaking and/or burning oil, it’ll always just keep running. These don’t have all of the timing chain guide, injector, carbon buildup, HPFP, and rod bearing issues that the N63 has, especially the early one. Lastly, N62 still has a dipstick and a mechanical water pump, unlike most BMWs from that era and currently.
