"My values haven't changed, they just have no relation to my words."
4
EU politicians are yet to explain what they mean by "European values". I have a feeling we don't have a shared definiton.
4
@BeBopScraBoo Wow, that's depressing to hear.
4
"Biden says US would defend Taiwan if China invaded" Taiwan's NATO membership application was processed very swiftly. Finland is jealous.
4
Would be interesting to hear these news anchors speak unfiltered. "You know what the source of all problem is? Democracy! Most people are fat, dumb, lazy, losers. Running things is for experts, like us: handsome, smart, ambitious, high-performers."
4
Note that the interviewer isn't denying that Russian invasion is a direct response to NATO expansion, instead saying that USA is justified to do this in their pursuit of "liberating" the Russians.
4
So, fight fascism with fascism, basically.
4
This was great. Very brave of both of them to be so vulnerable and open about their depression.
4
Yeah, Jimmy seems too quick to go from "vaccinated people transmit the virus" to "vaccination does not reduce transmission". The data seems to suggest transmission is about half after vaccination. Still, this is far from enough for it being feasible to eliminate covid through vaccination. For now, it seems we'll have to live with it.
4
Venezuela should halt elections and just ask Blinken how Venezuelans vote, since he knows this better than themselves.
4
What do you think this is? (Sweden here)

@LonexX18 I appreciate your insights about financialization of capitalism. Returning some food for thought, my impression is that intensified globalisation has had detrimental effect on capitalism by decoupling consumers and labor. Capitalists on the one hand appreciate consumers and compete to satisfy their needs, but on the other hand they seem show little interest in building consumer markets. Henry Ford's model of giving factory workers sufficient salary to buy the product they made was disturbed by globalisation allowing for having factories in one part of the world and consumer markets elsewhere. Capitalism seems to work best if laborers and consumers are one and the same, providing a healthy synergy between participating in production and enjoying its fruits.

Great. Don't let Trump's victory leave you relaxed and trusting. Now our job is to make sure he lives up to his promises.
3
@ZanT She was also being dishonest, trying to portray it as passive observation. You don't need a made-up identity for that. The only reason you'd want to change your identity would be to actively manipulate people.
3
I've said it all along: I think it's a fundraiser. They scare people because they want money for some wasteful defense project.
3
It is equally unwise to assume Putin did or didn't have Prigozhin killed based on what you think you know of his character Enough with the psychoanalysis please and focus on the facts.
3
Umm, yeah I'm skeptical on this one. Sounds like snake oil to me.
3
To understand how the wealthy think nowadays I would listen to Ray Dalio: "To secure your wealth through a crisis you want to invest not in what people want, but in what people need." (paraphrasing) And we are seeing just that: Billionaires buying land, housing, food and medicine. They'd tax life itself if they could.
3
11:32 The way they tried to pronounce "Berlusconi".
3
Yeah, I think he bought gold to preserve value in case of stock-market crash, rather than in hope that the price would go up.
3
This is breaking new grounds of silly... or scary.
3
@EsotericOccultist Reading my comment again I wish I'd added "...convey [what they consider] a greater truth, ..."
3
Finland wouldn't accept a prime minister who doesn't party.
3
I don't think it's fair to characterize a candidate by his/her parents. Focus on her own record and words.
3
I think woke is still about social justice, but it is no longer considered sincere due to overemphasis on posturing by influencers, corporations, politicians, academics, etc.
3
Hmm, that was short.
3
"Half of the updated vaccine formula targets the original SARS-COV2 strain and the other half of the vaccine targets BA4 and BA5 Omicron variants." Is this the beginning of the vaccine version of a slush fund?
3
Great news! Looking forward very much to this.
3
Jimmy gives his honest perspective on things, but he is not always factually correct. Though to your point, I do think Jimmy's perspective is often closer to reality than a big chunk of establishment media.
3
The correction of the Snake island thing has already made it to Wikipedia. "On 28 February 2022, the Ukrainian Navy posted on its Facebook page that all the border guards of the island were alive and detained by the Russian Navy."
3
I really don't like that Trump propagates the narrative on "misinformation, disinformation", only aiming it elsewhere. Politicians should not determine what is true. There needs to be an open, transparent, apolitical system based on genuine debate.
3
I hope he Jimmy had push back on the notion of bias against Israel, for example with this argument: Given U.S. substantial military and financial support of Israel, don't you think it is fair to hold this ally of ours to a higher standard than Iran?
3
@evgen-cy6so Every nation is an artificial project.
3
The positive thing about discovering a giant conspiracy is that people in power aren't as incompetent as they seemed, they are just malicious.
2
@Tmesso Let me guess, they're all men? Is that it? Or is it that they all happen to be hand-picked by some dude on YouTube trying to make a point?
2
Bill's answer at 7:30
2
I heard the "free-loading" argument 10 years ago at least. It's been around for a while.
2
"What is that liquid? Water? Can't be water right?" Geology seems to be one of Jimmy's blindspots haha. Forgivable. Can't beat everyone from his garage.
2
@jeffcook2570 Haha wups. You're right! Some serious misinformation right there.
2
In principle he is right about Bitcoin, but it does have limitations. Bitcoin is unsuitable as the everyday currency you buy groceries for. It was never built for scale. It is also important to understand that Bitcoin transactions are not anonymous, but are traceable, so it can still be used by governments for surveillance.

Elon's official and long-going stance is that X tries to follow the laws of the country it is operating in. What he has objected to are requests to remove content that is legal.
2
Exactly. Under blind trust, all systems deteriorate into corruption. We must scrutinise authority whatever form it takes.
2
This was the best ad for Jim Breuer's special. I wanna see it now.
2
I'm gonna go out and chant: "AFFIRM CLIMATE ACTION FOR SOLIDARITY OF GLOBAL INJUSTICE!" Just to see how many join in.
2
I'd not be surprised if Peter Theil is a Christian Zionist. He's been hanging out a lot in Christian circles.
2
This almost beats the murder of catholic arab Thomas Meixner, listed by ADL as antisemitic hatecrime.
2
Conclusion: Send more $B!
2
Dore: So, you seem to be the leading expert on MRNA vaccines... Guest: CAUGH! CAUGH! CAUGH!
2
Yeah, and most americans are not interacting with police every year, meaning a smaller bunch of americans receive a lot of police interaction.
2
Strange choice of CEO. But to be clear, while no longer CEO himself, Elon can still fire the CEO. This means she will not do anything that is too far away from his vision.
