  9. Yeah, Jimmy seems too quick to go from "vaccinated people transmit the virus" to "vaccination does not reduce transmission". The data seems to suggest transmission is about half after vaccination. Still, this is far from enough for it being feasible to eliminate covid through vaccination. For now, it seems we'll have to live with it.

Returning some food for thought, my impression is that intensified globalisation has had detrimental effect on capitalism by decoupling consumers and labor. Capitalists on the one hand appreciate consumers and compete to satisfy their needs, but on the other hand they seem show little interest in building consumer markets. Henry Ford's model of giving factory workers sufficient salary to buy the product they made was disturbed by globalisation allowing for having factories in one part of the world and consumer markets elsewhere. Capitalism seems to work best if laborers and consumers are one and the same, providing a healthy synergy between participating in production and enjoying its fruits.

  31. I really don't like that Trump propagates the narrative on "misinformation, disinformation", only aiming it elsewhere. Politicians should not determine what is true. There needs to be an open, transparent, apolitical system based on genuine debate.

It is also important to understand that Bitcoin transactions are not anonymous, but are traceable, so it can still be used by governments for surveillance.
