Using an authenticator app is more secure than text codes. Text codes is the least secure form of authentication. Also, you don't have to use Google Authenticator. You could use Microsoft Authenticator or other compatible authenticator app.

why are you bringing up Apple? We are taking about Windows not Apple. I hate Apple puts restrictions on everything. It is not easy to use an iPhone as you can an Android phone on Windows.

Gmail has an option to set the inbox into 5 categories: Primary, Promotions, Social, Updates, and Forums. That just adds 4 more labels making it more confusing as the email can be in several different places in the inbox. However, I don't use that and turn it off.

Also password managers like 1Password are more secure than the ones built into the browser. Google has a password manager for Chrome, but if multiple users use that computer, they can access the passwords stored in the browser

Some websites like your bank use your phone number to text two-factor authentication codes, so you need to ensure they have your correct number, otherwise you won't be able to log in. This it why it is important the website has the correct phone number

yes, the Samsung Smart Switch makes it easy to transfer apps and data from your old phone to your new phone. However, some Android games don't save data to the cloud meaning they can't be copied to another phone

@davidf6326 yes, good point. Most download apps from the Google Play store or if use a Samsung phone the Samsung Galaxy store. But on Windows, not all use the Microsoft Store and download from anywhere online
