While Chrysler has had stylish cars, they are poorly built and unreliable. They use cheap plastics. Chrysler is worst them GM.
1
Mistubishi makes cheap cars. The materials inside this car look cheaper then the Toyota Corolla
1
One problem is that auto manufactures won't iupdate the tech such as the infotainment system in older model cars. Instead they want you to buy the new model to get the new tech. This leaves the customer with outdated tech in their older car
1
I've never heard of Sigma. Everyone has heard about the Galant
1
By 1997, the Toyota Camry became the #1 selling car in America, beating the Ford Taurus. Though the Camry was boring, nobody like the weird oval shape of the 1996 Taurus and the Camry is the most reliable sedan
1
The Ford Taurus was a futuristic style at the time. It was the first sedan that wasn't boxy
1
Wow that is allot of features. Each manufacture is copying each other. I don't know why they decided to cancel the Dodge Caravan and bring back the Voyager nameplate as the lower cost minivan.
1
The Mazda version of the Explorer didn't sell very well
1
When GM went bankrupt in 2009, they had to drop Pontiac. Pontiacs weren't selling well. Along with Pontiac, Saturn was dropped
1
No rear view camera as Mistibushi was too cheap. It became required by law in June 2018, but some cars already offered it before then
1
It's the Pontiac of the Toyota Matrix. Since it was made by Toyota, it has Toyota's quality and reliability. Before this Toyota made a version of the Corolla for GM as the Geo Prizm
1
Yet no high performance Corolla sedan
1
Since Lexus is made by Toyota, it is the most reliable luxury brand. Like Toyota, all their cars have been boring, not exciting about them.
1
It's frustrating the Toyota still refuses to support Android Auto. Toyota added Apple Carplay and Alexa compatibility to the newly redesigned 2019 RAV4 and 2020 Corolla, but still no Google. People say Toyota's Entune system sucks
1
Stellantis is neglecting Chrysler. They have discontinued several Chrysler & Dodge models and haven't come out with any new models. The Chrysler Pacifica minivan is aging and needs an update. I don't know why they cancelled the Dodge Caravan which this year would have been its 40th birthday. They came out in 1984
1
While the American automakers are discontinuing sedans, Toyota introduces a new one. The Avalon was Toyota's largest sedan, a little bigger and more luxurious then the Camry
1
Notice the key lock is not integrated into the door handle as most cars are today. This vehicle has allot of cheap plastics in the interior
1
I don't know why Toyota doesn't include a pouch on back of the driver's seat
1
This minivan performs poor in crash test. I don't know why Toyota decided due to shape it as egg. Also, part of the engine is under the front seat. Toyota's since the 2000s are boring styles
1
Those were smoker windows
1
The plastic inside is all scratched up
1
Doug makes a good point - we don't know how reliable it will be. BMW's are not known to be reliable as Toyota
1
Toyota is still using analog gauges whereas Honda is all digital gauges.
1
The Chevy HHR was designed to compete with the Chrysler PT Cruiser
1
Just like Toyota, BMW refuses to support Android Auto
1
and GM's quality/reliability is not as good as the Japanese brands
1
Police still use Ford Fusions and they are more reliable then the Ford SUVs that police use
1
Taxi cars which used to be Fords have been replaced with Toyotas because Toyotas are reliable long lasting cars
1
Even today, GM and Chrysler still stuff from poor quality and poor reliability.
1
Back when Chrysler was owned by Mercedes (Daimler Chrysler), Daimler gave Chrysler a strict budget, so they had to make cost-cutting measures as we saw with the PT Crusier. So Chrysler was being cheap back then
1
Toyota/Lexus doesn't use cheap plastics that GM, Ford & Chrysler did
1
It is a big problem that people don't turn on the headlights because they think their lights are on since the dashboard is lighted. They are driving in the dark without their lights on. Some cars may have automatic headlights, but the feature can be turned off. Some drivers may just have their daytime lights on
1
2000 is 24 years ago not 25. We are in 2024
1
The American brands don't follow the Japanese Quality philosophy and so GM, Ford & Chrysler suffered from poor build quality as they used cheaper quality materials
1
The rear windows are pretty small
1
Back in the 1980s and 1990s, Mitsubishi partnered with Chrysler. They made engines for Chrysler and made the Dodge/Plymouth Colt. By the end of the 1990s, Chrysler dropped the Eagle and Plymouth brands and those Mistubishi models were discontinued. This ended the Chrysler-Mistibushi partnership.
1
Didn't you review this car already?
1
The Toyota President said no more boring cars
1
Nobody liked the weird oval or jellybean styling of the redesigned 1996 Taurus and so it lost to the Toyota Camry as the #1 selling car. The Taurus was also less reliable then the Camry and Ford's build quality isn't as good as Toyota
1
I see that they put the key lock separate from the door handle. Mitsubishi makes cars cheaply and so they are not as popular as Toyota or Honda
1
Of course since it is a Honda, they use good quality materials in the interior. You won't find cheap plastics such as in the Dodge Viper
1
Chrysler is not known to be reliable like Toyota is as they don't have good quality control. Of the 4 minivans, Toyota would be the most reliable
1
The Plus version of the infotainment system gets you Toyota's Scout GPS, Premium gets you the full navigation system
1
I though Ford was the only with a number pad which never became popular
1
Notice it doesn't have a passenger door mirror. The cheap base model didn't have it
1
Since the windshield folds down, they couldn't put a camera behind the mirror for lane departure warning, radar cruise control or pre-collision system. Since there is no badging in the grill, where would they put the radar?
1
Chrysler still being cheap - doesn't want to spend money on better quality plastics
1
The Chevy Cavalier was rebadged as a Toyota Cavalier in Japan
1
Speaking of Toyota, here is a Lamborghini owner reviewing a 2017 Toyota Corolla SE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laai9-kyW_s
1
SS is not a good name and it's a boring style - reminds of a Nissan Altima. $50,000 is expensive. Today sedans are less popular as crossovers and SUVs have become more popular
