In CALIFORNIA we have the fourth largest prisoner population in the world we follow the USA as #1, China #2, Russia and India, #3 and CALIFORNIA #4.We also have more prisoners than musicians in orchestras. Calfornia has more prisoners than W. Europe put together.California has 140,000 prisoners.

These families got political and financial support, such as free healthcare, subsidized food, free education, housing. Also, Chavez increased the budget of El Sistema, and paid for overseas tours to Europe and the USA and Japan. Before Chavez the corrupt political parties robbed the people. So, stop crying you traitor.

The families of these musicians get huge government benefits for the first time such as free health care and education and food subsidies. Before Chavez all the poor people were in very bad shape, hungry and sick. El Sistema flourished because of increased government support (money) from Chavez.
