Watch in slow motion, Michael is down and unable to retreat and still Marquis took approximately three steps toward him and only started backing up when Michael started pulling his weapon. This still left Michael incapable of retreating because he would have to either holster his weapon or taking his weapon off of Marquis leaving him vulnerable again to physical assault. Sorry, but this was a clear case of self defense. All Michael had to say from start to finish was "he feared for his life" and that would have brought doubt in at least some of the juries minds.

So when you start getting in the 7 magnitude or higher, it changes everything. I actually live in San Diego, and I have camping gear just incase I have to live outdoors, and I also never allow the gas tanks on my vehicles get below half a tank.

In fact the judge could have them arrest in court for pushing a phony law. The gun was completely legal and the other did not have a conceal permit and lied to law enforcement that he did not have a gun when he did.
